The International Space Station captured stunning views of Hurricane Erin traveling through the Caribbean on Tuesday, August 19.
According to NASA, the International Space Station flew 260 miles over the hurricane at 11:41 a.m. ET (1541 GMT) as it travelled northwest through the Caribbean with maximum sustained wind speeds of 105 mph.
Erin has weakened to a Category 2 hurricane but is expected to grow larger as it moves over the western Atlantic through the week, the US National Hurricane Center said on Tuesday.
