00:00Previously on Project Runway.
00:02I'm back!
00:07I'm having a slight flashback
00:09because in my other season,
00:12it was also a team challenge,
00:14and I'm having a little PTSD.
00:16What's happening?
00:17I already need a martini.
00:19All right.
00:20In season 19, I left on episode one,
00:22but I'm very confident about what I made for this challenge.
00:26Literally, like, my intern could sew that in 30 minutes.
00:29I'm a Gemini.
00:30I take critiques very like,
00:31don't tell me what to do.
00:33That was the one that I'm using.
00:34Like, which one?
00:35Which one is who?
00:36BJ is in her own bubble.
00:39She's very standoffish.
00:41Which one I start?
00:42This is my dad and la.
00:43Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
00:45She's what we call in the business.
00:47A .
00:49Congratulations, Ethan.
00:51You're the winner of this challenge.
00:53Shut up!
00:54Casey, Joseph, and Antonio.
00:57You had the three bottom looks.
00:58Am I being punk?
01:00Ooh.
01:01Ooh, he's spicy.
01:02I don't think there's any reason to be defensive.
01:04No, I'm not being defensive at all.
01:05Casey, it's very lackluster.
01:08And what you then wrapped around to me looks like an afterthought.
01:11Do we sit home with a bad dress or the bad attitude?
01:14Just very emotional.
01:15I can't believe this is happening again.
01:17You're so mean.
01:19I don't know.
01:20Why am I here?
01:22I want to go home.
01:26A stake for the winner is $200,000.
01:29A spread in Elle magazine.
01:31And a life-changing mentorship with the CFDA.
01:34This is Project Runway.
01:36Project Runway.
01:45I really, like, can't handle.
01:46Okay, it's okay.
01:47It's okay.
01:48It's not the criticism.
01:49It's just, like, being in this position again.
01:51Yes.
01:52I'm pretty shocked I'm in the bottom three.
01:54After being eliminated on episode one of another season,
01:57I can't believe it could happen again.
01:59It just feels like a bad joke.
02:01I can't go home.
02:02Like, I didn't get to show who I was as a designer.
02:06Let's prove to them that we can make it to the end.
02:09My brother and I are supposed to make it to the end together.
02:12I can't believe I'm in the bottom.
02:14I might be going home.
02:15We're ready?
02:21Casey, Antonio, Joseph, we've made our decision.
02:38Joseph, you're safe.
02:42You can leave the runway.
02:44Thank you, Joseph.
02:52Casey, you had the most beautiful fabric, but it was evident you had unresolved design problems.
03:01Antonio, I actually thought your dress was delicious, but your attitude was despicable.
03:10Hmm.
03:12Casey, Antonio, one of you will be in and one of you will be out.
03:21You're in.
03:22I'm sorry.
03:23It's okay.
03:24Keep it out of your way.
03:25Keep it out of your way.
03:26Keep it out of your way.
03:27You can leave the runway.
03:28I'll work a bad at times.
03:30Ah, Casey.
03:31I'm so sorry, but that means you're out?
03:34Yes.
03:35I'll work a bad at times.
03:36Ah, Casey.
03:37You can leave the runway.
03:41I'll work about it.
03:46Casey.
03:48I'm so sorry, but that means you're out.
03:50Yes.
03:51Oh, my God, you're so sweet.
03:54I'm so grateful to have met you.
03:56Good luck.
04:00Bye, guys.
04:02Casey.
04:04Baby.
04:04Come here.
04:05I'm so glad I got to meet you.
04:06Thank you, guys.
04:07I'm, like, beyond shocked to be eliminated for this look.
04:10Casey.
04:11Yes.
04:11I know it's rough going on the first.
04:13It's hard.
04:14But you're so talented.
04:15That's why you're here.
04:16That's why you came back, right?
04:17Think about, hold that strong.
04:19Thank you, Christian.
04:20I'm going to send you the workroom, clean up your space,
04:21say goodbye to everybody, okay?
04:23Okay, thank you.
04:23And good luck.
04:24It feels harsh to leave this stage of the competition again.
04:28I definitely feel like I wish I could have shown more,
04:31but I still am really proud of it.
04:32Project Runway is an experience I will never forget.
04:36And I'm probably finished with as of now.
04:46All right.
04:47Come back.
04:48Sit around.
04:49We're not done.
04:50Oh, my God.
04:51What?
04:51Christian, I don't know how much we can take today.
04:54Competition is very real now.
04:56You just saw it.
04:57Casey walked out the door.
04:58Goes quick.
05:00Ethan, congratulations.
05:01Thank you so much.
05:05I have something extra for you.
05:08Oh, Jesus.
05:11Oh.
05:11What do you got, mama?
05:12Because you guys are going to continue to work in houses a little longer.
05:18Oh.
05:19What?
05:19As a winning designer in the next challenge,
05:22you're going to have an opportunity to swap a designer from a house.
05:29Oh.
05:30Christian Siriano really came in and was like,
05:33let me just drop a rock into this pond.
05:35Think on it.
05:36Like Heidi said, new house, new rules.
05:40Okay.
05:41You'll decide at the next challenge.
05:44The houses aren't over yet.
05:46Get ready for it.
05:48Bring it on.
05:49I think I know what I'm going to do.
05:51Things are about to get spicy.
05:59Oh.
06:00Oh.
06:01Some jump ropes.
06:02Oh, my God.
06:02Oh, that Pilates ring in.
06:05Hey, guys, guys, listen to this.
06:09Here's a gift.
06:10Put these on and meet me in the workroom.
06:13Christian.
06:14What?
06:14What?
06:15Let's go.
06:19That last challenge was a lot for me and Antonio.
06:23I think you are being defensive and also a little bit rude.
06:26Sorry if you hate the coat.
06:28I hate the whole look.
06:29But at the same time, Law, don't you worry.
06:31We're about to prove you so wrong.
06:33All right, everybody, let's go to the workroom.
06:39Yes.
06:39Woo!
06:39Woo!
06:40My strategy about this switch is I really want to make sure I'm making the best decision
06:45for me.
06:46So do I get rid of Jesus, the boisterous one?
06:50All I have to do is prove him wrong.
06:52Or Vijay that is hard to work with.
06:56How's it going, Diva?
06:58This one.
07:00So here's to the right choice.
07:04I like to shake it up and keep that body working.
07:07All right, come on, get zen, get comfortable, get on your mat.
07:16I don't know any yoga poses.
07:17Does anybody know yoga poses?
07:20Okay, come show me.
07:21Yoga is not my thing.
07:23I'm the type of person that gets really bored in the gym.
07:26Bend this knee.
07:27Yes.
07:28My workout is walking to that coffee shop and then enjoy people watching.
07:34That's my workout.
07:35I think I pulled something.
07:39So you're going to continue to work in houses, Ethan.
07:43Remember, you have the power to swap a member of your house.
07:46I think I am going to do a swap.
07:51A swap.
07:53Uh-oh.
07:54If Ethan is smart enough, he's going to keep me because he knows what I'm capable of doing
07:59and he knows I'm a strong designer.
08:01I think he should get rid of Vijay because she has not been a team player and bring over Antonio.
08:07The pressure.
08:08The pressure is getting wasaps.
08:10Yes.
08:12So I'm going to swap.
08:16Jesus with Madeline.
08:25Jesus and Madeline.
08:28Wow.
08:31You messed up, honey.
08:32I hope you don't regret your decision.
08:35I have full confidence that you're going to kill it.
08:36And I really want to see this dynamic happen.
08:39Because y'all have been claiming that y'all are a powerhouse together.
08:44And I want to see it.
08:45Well, get ready.
08:46They are all talk.
08:49They run a store together.
08:50But I'd love to see this store close, baby.
08:54All right.
08:55For this challenge, each house must create a cohesive activewear capsule collection.
09:02Where the collection goes from workout to the weekend.
09:05With one of the hottest activewear companies, Kalia.
09:09So to give you guys some more insight into Kalia, we have a special guest, vice president and head designer for Kalia, Alicia Scott.
09:21So good to meet all of you.
09:29We created Kalia about 10 years ago and really wanted to form a brand that is the perfect juxtaposition of fashion and femininity and function.
09:38And I love how you guys have all styled all your pieces you got today.
09:42Our entire collection is rooted in performance.
09:45If you're designing a look for Pilates or run, it needs to be able to function.
09:50We believe there's beauty in the burn.
09:52How's it going to work whenever she is doing a downward dog?
09:55Make sure that when you're designing a piece, it can be used for working out, going to grab coffee, going out to grab cocktails with your friends.
10:03It needs to be versatile.
10:05So not only has Kalia provided lookbooks, they've also provided all the fabrications for the challenge.
10:12Okay.
10:12That's not all.
10:14Kalia is going to produce and sell the winning look from the winning collection.
10:20That would be so cool to have a Joseph McCray and Kalia produced.
10:26I feel like it would eat down.
10:27I love the idea of this beauty in the burn.
10:31So what if we have fire on the runway?
10:35Like actual fire.
10:38So you'll have all of today and part of tomorrow to create your fire-worthy collections.
10:44Don't you love a one-day challenge?
10:46Yes.
10:47One day to do this as if there weren't enough stress already.
10:51The burn of it all.
10:54Bye.
10:54Bye.
10:58Ethan, you want to see what it's like when you put Antonio and I together?
11:03It's going to be game on and it's going to push me to even do better to beat him.
11:08And then he's going to realize that he f***ed up.
11:12Girl, whatever.
11:19What's our team?
11:20Team winner.
11:21Team winner.
11:22Team winning.
11:24No, it has something to do with fire.
11:28Team burn.
11:30I guess it's final answer.
11:32I'm glad I put together a strong team.
11:34I really wanted to equalize the energy of our group by putting all of the boisterous energies
11:40on one team.
11:41I want day five.
11:42I want day eight.
11:43I bet you're first.
11:44I'm actually very happy that Ethan let go Jesus because I don't want another drama.
11:53That was the one that I'm using.
11:54Okay, well, I can use it too.
11:57And it could be hot to do the lines in the pop-up wrap.
12:01So we'll all have the lines incorporated.
12:04Yes.
12:05Okay.
12:05Okay, guys, we need to start the cutting fabrics.
12:07I just want to be cohesive.
12:11I do like this color story situation going on over here.
12:14But we got to pick a group of fabrics and all go with it, you guys.
12:17Y'all go with it.
12:18We decided to call our team the House of Lotus because we wanted to feel the vent within
12:22the berm.
12:24And so coming off the last challenge, being in the bottom, our stickler was our cohesion.
12:30So as we're going through these fabrics that Kalia provided us, we're really paying attention
12:35to what color palette we want to do so that we really nail that cohesion this time.
12:39Because if we miss it two times in a row, we're going to be done for.
12:43I love this fabric.
12:45I was trying to get the colors out of this.
12:47This has all your colors.
12:50Once again, Antonio is choosing the fabric.
12:54And I'm getting a little anxious because last time he chose fabric, we were in the bottom.
13:01Can y'all roll the tape back?
13:02The fabric that I brought from home is in pink.
13:05So let's have the inspiration of our collection be butterflies.
13:08That's the best one out of all of them.
13:10I think we should go with that.
13:11I don't like that.
13:11No?
13:12Mm-mm.
13:13You like this better?
13:15I mean, I like this.
13:16I don't like that either, but I mean.
13:17That's what I wanted to start with.
13:19Miss Joan, I want to know.
13:20It is what it is.
13:21Oh, is the drama already beginning?
13:24You know, working with the twins, you know, they're a whole vibe, but our looks have to
13:29be cohesive.
13:29I love Miss Joan, but she's a little, a little old school and stuck in the back in the days.
13:35This fabric's so cool.
13:37It's just more young.
13:38I'll make it work.
13:43Don't use the fabric scissors, you nincompoop.
13:46I love Alex.
13:48I didn't expect this competition to become so connective so quickly.
13:52And me and Alex bonded so quickly.
13:55It's so soft.
13:56It's so cozy.
13:57Like she's going to be in it and be like, wow.
13:58I want it.
13:58I want it.
13:59I'm making a lounge sweatsuit with a corset bustier top.
14:05It all sprouted from trying to use the aspects of a kimono.
14:10I grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, but my Nana was a tailor from Nagasaki, Japan.
14:17So I find a lot of inspiration in what the Japanese call intangible cultural treasures.
14:24But my mama would say that I don't bring enough of the South with me.
14:31How are you feeling this week?
14:32Feeling great.
14:33It looks really cool.
14:35Thank you so much.
14:36I appreciate that.
14:37You are absolutely looking at the next winner of Project Runway.
14:42My design aesthetic is a combination of street wear and elegance.
14:46I want to win Project Runway for my daughter, Ava.
14:49It's right here.
14:51Having her change me as a person, it gave me so much more drive.
14:55And I do this all for her.
14:57So I have to make this stand out and hopefully wild the judges.
15:04Madeline, what informs your work?
15:07I'm trying to always like see things that I like about vintage fashion,
15:13but then giving it like my own little twist.
15:16What about yourself?
15:17I grew up in like a hoedunk farm town.
15:20I just felt inherently so different from the rest of my family.
15:23The only thing I could really do was, you know, rely on my own creativity and imagination to kind of
15:29distract me from, you know, feeling like it belonged there.
15:33Did they accept you as you are?
15:35Like, you know, when I finally did come out, they were like,
15:40we don't get it yet, but we just don't want to lose you.
15:43So we're going to try to figure this out.
15:45I feel really blessed to be able to have my family and my life.
15:51So it makes me want to really push myself to win this for them.
15:56I feel like I'm going to be able to win this for them.
15:59Hello.
16:01How's the team going?
16:05I do think the silhouette of this skirt, you still have to figure out.
16:09Oh, Lord, this might send me home.
16:12I am a technical designer and I am a serious workaholic.
16:18My family is Jamaican and I've always been raised with all the elders around me doing
16:23multiple things.
16:24Even if it's not their job, they're going to figure out how to do it that day and do it.
16:28So I have to push myself because this workout weekend challenge is taking me out of my comfort zone.
16:33I really wanted to do something that was extremely comfortable.
16:38I think it feels a little too demure.
16:41I think I made the right decision.
16:44I was the one who fought to use this print because Mrs. Joan didn't like it.
16:47She still doesn't like it.
16:48Okay, so you did it again.
16:51You wanted a print again.
16:53Everybody wants this print?
16:57Groundbreaking this circle skirt.
17:00Yeah.
17:00Mm-hmm.
17:01I can cut a circle out right now and do this in 10 minutes.
17:04Really?
17:04Yeah.
17:06We're kind of not the exact same look from the last challenge.
17:11But you're making a jacket and a jacket and a skirt?
17:14A jacket and a skirt.
17:17Let me tell you a little something about Christian Seriano.
17:20Christian would come in the workroom like,
17:23are you sure about that?
17:25Or he'd be walking around like, oh, okay.
17:28That little face be killing me with them glasses and that hair
17:31perfectly swapped it to the side?
17:33The top being fabulous is very important here.
17:36You should develop this more because you already know you can make a cool jacket.
17:39I'm going to listen to Christian because I know I'm taking a risk,
17:43but I do not want to be in the bottom again.
17:45You got a lot to do.
17:46I got you.
17:46Okay, let's get it.
17:49I'm kind of going for like that modern with a little bit of Tron.
17:53This sash doesn't do anything.
17:56She couldn't do any athletic things with this hanging.
18:03What are all these lines on this?
18:04So I kind of want to achieve this kind of like texture.
18:08All of these lines you're going to weave.
18:10The inspiration for this design is the Kalia logo.
18:14It's like a twisted string.
18:17It's like very dynamic.
18:19What are you doing?
18:20It's going to be like a more like athletic, fancy corset, bustier kind of thing.
18:29This makes no sense for an athletic look.
18:33That scares me.
18:34Athleisure specifically is not something that I normally do.
18:38Unfortunately, time is not on our side in this competition.
18:43Christian has his doubts about this corset, but we're sticking to our guns.
18:47Hmm. What are you doing?
18:50I am doing an oversized hoodie, which I'm thinking about cropping.
18:55I did the pin tuck in my hand.
18:57It's going to have the same pin tuck in all over the pants as well.
19:00Oh, so you're also doing a sweat.
19:04Oversized sweat pants.
19:05Oversized sweat pants in the same fabric.
19:09Is the pant wide like that wide?
19:11You haven't even looked at each other's stuff and she's right in front of you.
19:15Honestly, I really don't know much about what my team is doing.
19:19This is it.
19:20Yes.
19:21Looks very similar.
19:22Having looked at the other designers on my team, I've just been too focused.
19:26So we just have a wide pant off on the runway in the same fabric.
19:32What the ? Like, what am I going to do next?
19:34I need to think fast and pivot into some other different silhouette.
19:38If I don't succeed, I'm worried it might put me on the bottom.
19:45So I'm looking at Team Lotus and it does not fit the brief that we got.
19:52What's going on underneath?
19:53So it's going to be the pop out.
19:54So we both have mesh.
19:55Their looks are looking a little all over the place.
19:58I think that we're going to take this one home.
20:00I look at the other team.
20:02It's like crickets in that side of the room.
20:04No one's really talking to each other.
20:06And here we are like, you know, blah, blah, blah.
20:09And then at night, she just puts a glove on, honey.
20:12Okay, this, do this.
20:13Like, we're helping each other.
20:16Yes.
20:17Ethan, I hate to tell you, but you will be the losing team.
20:23Models, let's go.
20:30This very cool jacket with a pleated skirt.
20:34That's the top?
20:35I think so.
20:37So how does one do anything athletic in that top?
20:45I think I'm over here eating it up.
20:47And it's just like, yeah, no.
20:49Are we playing tennis where you tie your arms up?
20:53If I don't come through with this bra, like,
20:55I feel like the whole look is going to go kaput.
20:59So different when I design on paper and design on you.
21:02You tread this pleated skirt.
21:04It's really short.
21:05I thought it was a mistake, but it's not a mistake.
21:10Because mama, I'm a slut.
21:13You decided?
21:13Yeah, I'm going to do some nice shorts and then the cargo pockets.
21:19That shoe?
21:20Are you nuts?
21:21What kind of shoe?
21:22Blah.
21:22Whoa, what?
21:24Let me buy something.
21:26That tic-tac shoe.
21:30You have no side seam.
21:31Uh-uh, there's no side seam.
21:33Interesting.
21:35You can do that.
21:37Look at her butt.
21:38That's crazy.
21:39These pants are styled after a Japanese hakama pant,
21:43where there aren't really side seams.
21:46And all of the volume is put into pleats across the back.
21:50Since we're paying homage to my Japanese ancestress,
21:55it's really important for me to nail this look that I make.
21:58And I am feeling the pressure.
22:00Bye, models.
22:05Thank you so much.
22:07Hello?
22:07Oh, I have to take this.
22:08Sorry.
22:09You're going to be laughing when that little hem falls out.
22:12I'm going to tear it up.
22:13I'm feeling really good about my look.
22:16But what if your team doesn't?
22:17But after the model fitting, I'm feeling a little worried about my team.
22:21Alex has these grand ideas, but she is running out of time.
22:25And Angelo's work is looking a little simple.
22:28If Jesus kills it, then I lost a valuable player.
22:32I hope that I made the right decision.
22:37Guys, our muses are here.
22:39Look at this.
22:39Woo!
22:41All right, designers, send your models to the Ulta Beauty Salon.
22:44Woo!
22:45We got three hours to finish up these looks and send these girls down the runway.
22:50It's crunch time.
22:51Glowy, dewy kind of thing.
22:53I love it.
22:54Or maybe something that's been like smudged a little bit.
22:57That's it right there.
22:58Bye!
22:59Bye, everybody.
23:00Y'all have fun.
23:01Until next time.
23:02Is there a leader this time?
23:05No, because I think we don't want to have a leader technically,
23:08because we don't want to blame someone.
23:10The last team challenge, I think Jesus was acting as the leader.
23:15Because he talked a lot.
23:18But this time, we don't have a leader, so it's a mess.
23:22All right, five minutes, you guys.
23:24Five minutes.
23:25We're leaving this room.
23:26That's the back of the pant?
23:27Mm-hmm.
23:29Okay.
23:29Well, I know I ain't in the pant.
23:32I'm worried about Alex.
23:34She's looking not finished.
23:39Child.
23:39I mean, I got what?
23:40How many minutes?
23:41I am really concerned with how the top is turning out.
23:44In the cut of the pant.
23:46Are there pockets?
23:47No.
23:48No.
23:49All right.
23:49But there's no more time and nothing else to do about it.
23:54All right, designers.
23:55That's it.
23:56That's time.
24:04Hello, designers.
24:05Welcome to the runway.
24:07As you know, in fashion, one day you're in,
24:09and the next day you're out.
24:11For this challenge, we ask you to create a cohesive, active wear collection.
24:15For Kalia, that goes from workout to weekend.
24:18You worked in teams and you had only one day to create your collection.
24:22All right, let's meet our judges.
24:24CFDA award-winning stylist and image architect, La Roche.
24:30Editor in chief of Elle magazine, Nina Garcia.
24:35And our guest judge and co-owner of the fashion line favorite daughter, Sarah Foster.
24:42I'm so excited to see Miss Sarah Foster.
24:44She has a really good head on her shoulders around how to make a woman feel beautiful and comfortable in the clothes.
24:49She's gorgeous.
24:50Okay, we're ready.
24:51Let's start the show.
24:52It's going to be flaming hot.
24:56I wish I had a marshmallow.
24:58This got flammable hair now.
24:59Wait a minute.
24:59I told you it was going to be hot and I was not talking about Hans and Franz.
25:03Stop.
25:15I do feel like I have successfully captured the essence of this challenge with creating something
25:20that goes from workout to weekend. With the pin tucking, the silhouette, the styling is really good.
25:27I'm feeling really confident.
25:28Oh, she's a professional.
25:29You know, you know.
25:33Look at us now.
25:34I'm very proud of this look.
25:35My look looks very modern, sexy, and fun.
25:39And the red line on the jacket is everything.
25:42That is a short skirt, but she's got some good legs.
25:45Look at us now.
25:47Oh, here I come.
25:51I'm just looking at the outfit.
25:53It's not as bad as I expected it to be, but I know what's going on on the inside.
26:00This Bessie, Bessie, I'm not happy about it.
26:06It could have been worse.
26:07It could have also been better.
26:08I like that.
26:09I would wear that.
26:10You're very generous.
26:12Oh, no.
26:17With my athleisure look, I'm feeling pretty satisfied.
26:20I like it.
26:21I think it's cute.
26:22It's nothing, like, really shocking.
26:25But I am just elated that the athleisure challenge is in the past.
26:28She's got it.
26:30This is what it means to have greatness.
26:32Stepping out, I ain't checking out.
26:35She looks amazing.
26:36I've worked hard to achieve that details, that those string woven by hand.
26:42I cut all those holes individually.
26:44It takes a lot of work to create that textile.
26:46I want to make sure that every piece that I make is a labor of love.
26:51I don't get that curly hair with that.
26:52With that side fin, it's flowing down the runway.
26:59It's got movement.
27:01Oh, it looks so good.
27:04I would wear that now.
27:05I may have slayed a little bit too hard this week.
27:07So I'm hoping that it can pull this team through to the win.
27:17This look, it's very universal.
27:19This girl can do Pilates and then put some heels on, put a jacket on,
27:23and go have a cocktail with the girl just at night.
27:26I'm proud of myself.
27:27It would mean a lot to win this challenge and have that collab with Leah.
27:36I'm happy with how this look turned out.
27:39I feel like it's me.
27:40And I'm starting to be more confident in what I'm designing and believe
27:44whatever I'm creating is good.
27:49I see my look coming down the runway and I'm thinking, okay, yes.
27:54Even though I didn't choose this fabric, I was able to be a team player.
27:59And I think that she looks fabulous.
28:01I love the drama.
28:02This is the future.
28:03You better own it.
28:05I nailed it.
28:06Oh, no.
28:07Oh, my God.
28:08This is the moment.
28:10He records.
28:12They're going to watch me now.
28:14Well, we know who that is.
28:15My model is looking so everything.
28:21And then she unzipsed this jacket.
28:24And it's just like, oh, welcome to the party.
28:26Bring out the tatas.
28:28I took a risk with almost recreating my previous look.
28:32And I hope this paid off.
28:40That's my girl.
28:41Wow.
28:41Like, I'm just literally getting chills.
28:43The way she's walking.
28:45The way that the pants are moving.
28:46How powerful she looks.
28:48I'm feeling great.
28:50I could definitely see this in stores and see a lot of people wanting these pants,
28:54wanting this bomber, even the bag.
28:56I love this.
28:57Our team, everything was executed beautifully.
29:01And I think that that showed on the runway.
29:02We did it good, guys.
29:04We did it.
29:05I am not worried about myself.
29:07But it's hard to tell.
29:08You know, it's two different vibes.
29:10So I hope that the switch doesn't come back to bite me in the butt.
29:18Hello, hello, hello.
29:20Bravo.
29:21That was a show worthy of fire.
29:23Congrats to all of you.
29:25We have scored your designs.
29:27In one house, ran circles around the other.
29:29Antonio, Joan, Joseph, Jesus, and Polania.
29:42You are the winning house.
29:43What?
29:44Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, I don't think that's it.
29:51Alex, Angelo, Madeline, Eugene, BJ, and Ethan.
29:57You are our least favorite collection.
30:00Damn.
30:01We're going to talk to you later, and you can leave the runway.
30:05Damn it.
30:07My squad being in the bottom, that's unfortunate.
30:10I don't know what happened.
30:14I don't get it.
30:15We just clearly took two different directions, team-wise.
30:20Chips fall where they may, right?
30:22This challenge meant a lot to me.
30:24I just got in my head.
30:27I just hope that I get to stay.
30:31Congratulations.
30:33What we really liked about your collection is that there was a cohesion.
30:37Thank you so much.
30:38All right.
30:38We would like to talk to the designers that were our three favorite looks.
30:42And that is you, Joseph.
30:44Olania.
30:45Oh, yeah.
30:47And you, Jesus.
30:49So that means Joan.
30:50Yes.
30:51And Antonio.
30:52You're safe.
30:53But I do have to tell you, Antonio, we all thought that yours was our least favorite
30:59in the winning team.
31:03Thank you so much.
31:04You can leave the runway.
31:04Nice meeting you guys.
31:06Bye.
31:06My brother's in the top again for the second week.
31:09I thought my look was really good.
31:10I want to be on top.
31:11It sucks.
31:13So I am just ready to prove these judges wrong.
31:16All right.
31:16Let's bring out your models.
31:19Come on, girls.
31:21Yes.
31:22What's up, Oscar?
31:23Oh, we did it.
31:24We're going to start with the designer where we didn't have to guess a whole lot who made it.
31:28And that is Joseph.
31:30Without a doubt, when we saw her walk down the runway, we knew it was you.
31:34And I think she could actually work out in this because of her little shorts under.
31:37Oh, surprise, surprise.
31:39Yay.
31:41And she could throw on a pump or a heel and go straight to the weekend, which that was the challenge.
31:46Thank you so much.
31:47I would wear that jacket to the gym, but then I'd also wear it to dinner that night with a pair of jeans.
31:52I'm into you.
31:53I don't know how else I can say it.
31:55I mean, I'm just into all of it.
31:56I like your look, too.
31:57I like her vibe.
31:58It stands out.
31:59It's memorable.
32:00To me, she's badass and flirty at the same time.
32:04Thank you, Joseph.
32:05Thank you so much, everyone.
32:07All right, Belania, you're next.
32:08Oh, Lauren.
32:09I really love the work that you did on this top.
32:13I think it's really beautiful.
32:15I love all the detail that you made with the pockets, correct?
32:21And I love the fact that you considered an option.
32:24She can be resurred with the turtleneck and she can be super sexy without it.
32:29Yep.
32:30I mean, I like that fabric, as you can see.
32:33The detail of the skirt is really cool.
32:36And it's a flattering waistband.
32:38Waistbands can go very unflattering.
32:40Girl.
32:41Very easily.
32:42Whatever it is, I like it.
32:44All right, that leaves us with Jesus.
32:47Jesus, I have to say this.
32:49You have done something that a lot of people cannot do.
32:53And that is to shut me up.
32:56Wow.
32:57I was so tough on you on the runway.
32:59And you were in the winning group.
33:01And I was still tough on you on the runway.
33:03I actually hated your look.
33:04She doesn't look cool.
33:05She doesn't look young.
33:07I think this is so versatile.
33:09I think that a girl could really work out with this.
33:12And sellable, too.
33:12Yeah.
33:12Really sellable.
33:13Work out with it and then wear it out on the weekend.
33:16I would wear those pants in a heartbeat.
33:18The pant turns into a straight leg pant.
33:20She could wear it like this.
33:22It's great.
33:22I mean, she could open up a little.
33:24Well done on that.
33:25It's great.
33:26Fabulous.
33:27Chic and effortless.
33:29Mm-hmm.
33:29What I also love is the detail.
33:32The fact that you thought about the zipper on the side.
33:35Can you turn around?
33:36And that little pocket.
33:38The little pocket.
33:39With that little black detail.
33:41Those details all matter.
33:43Yeah.
33:43Right?
33:44Yeah.
33:44Thank you, Nina.
33:45I want to be this girl that would wear this.
33:47Thank you so much.
33:49But now is the moment of truth.
33:53They can only be one winner.
33:57And Jesus, it's you.
33:59You were our favorite look.
34:00Congratulations.
34:01Oh, he's crying.
34:03Don't be hiding those tears.
34:04I want to see them.
34:07Those are tears of joy.
34:09Yeah.
34:10Not only are you the winner.
34:12It's crazy.
34:13But that also means that Kalia will also produce and sell your look.
34:17And I'm going to buy it.
34:17Wow.
34:18Me too.
34:19I love it.
34:19Congratulations.
34:20We're all going to wear it.
34:21We're all going to wear it.
34:22Wow.
34:23Thank you guys so much.
34:24All right.
34:24You can leave the runway.
34:27Oh my gosh.
34:27We did it.
34:28Ethan, you got rid of me.
34:29And I prove you wrong.
34:32I truly believe that if I would have stayed in his team,
34:35we would have won again.
34:37I won.
34:38When I came on Project Runway 15 years ago, I was so young.
34:46I wasn't really out of the closet at that time.
34:49And I didn't know who I was as a designer.
34:51And now coming back, I am a loud gay queer boy.
34:55So to win the challenge and do this collab with Kalia,
34:58it just reassured my purpose of why I'm here.
35:00To create really amazing stuff and to be on top.
35:03And now coming back, I'm going to be on top of my head.
35:09Unfortunately, you were our least favorite collection.
35:13Ethan, your team, you.
35:21Unfortunately, you were our least favorite collection.
35:24Ethan, your team, you.
35:30Ethan, tell us, why do you think you guys are up here?
35:33Yeah, I think we did a great job.
35:38I think you did a great job.
35:41You had my favorite piece.
35:42I agree.
35:43So modern.
35:45Do you regret switching one person out?
35:49I don't want to say I shot myself in the foot,
35:51because I love our team.
35:53I don't believe you.
35:56I think you knew that you had a great look,
35:57and you didn't give a about the other people on the team.
36:02Damn.
36:02All right, Alex, Angelo, and BJ.
36:07You are our least favorite looks.
36:08That means Eugene, Ethan, and Madeline.
36:12You're safe.
36:12You can leave the runway.
36:19All right, BJ, let's start with you.
36:21Let's start with the positives,
36:22because there is a positive here.
36:24The silhouette, I think, is nice.
36:25I like the length.
36:26I like that it's not a midi, and it's not a mini.
36:28I think that's versatile.
36:29A lot of people can wear that.
36:31It's just really, that's all I liked about it.
36:33Mm-hmm.
36:33You guys like the ties dangling?
36:35I love the ties.
36:36I think it kind of looks like a tampon.
36:38I think, oh.
36:40I mean, this is, this is unwearable.
36:42I also don't understand this girl.
36:44I think the work that you've done, I think it's quite beautiful,
36:47but it doesn't scream active wear to me at all.
36:50Like, I don't get it.
36:51That's the problem.
36:51That's the problem, yeah.
36:52You needed to make this a top, a pair of black leggings,
36:58and call it a day, and you would have had a hit.
37:02This didn't need to be a cocktail dress.
37:04Out of context.
37:06All right, Angelo, let's hear about your look.
37:08Um, I designed men's street wear,
37:10so I just wanted to stay true to myself.
37:13I think where you have to be careful, Angelo,
37:16is that it felt to me a little safe and boring.
37:22You really need to bring in a sense of drama.
37:25Step it up.
37:26Listen, I'm a basic bitch, so I love sweats.
37:29I think this is cool.
37:30I like this.
37:31It's different, you know what I mean?
37:32It's not for me, but I appreciate that you added that detail on sweats.
37:36I think it's really well made.
37:39It's just there was no showmanship to it.
37:41Yeah.
37:41You know, I think that's where you fell flat.
37:43Okay, thank you.
37:44All right, Alex, tell us about your look.
37:47So quite a few of my pieces are also inspired by kimonos.
37:51I incorporate into the way that I create different pieces.
37:54Is that part of your heritage to kimono?
37:56Yes, my grandmother was Japanese.
37:58Okay.
37:59So I go to the sauna a lot, and I love a corset.
38:03I don't care what the situation is.
38:04At the sauna, to relax.
38:06Well, obviously you're not going to wear a corset in the sauna,
38:09but post-sauna you can...
38:10But you gave her a corset.
38:12She doesn't look comfortable at all.
38:14She can't work out in this.
38:16Guys, the story has to match.
38:18You cannot piss on me and tell me it's raining.
38:21I'm sorry.
38:21Okay, well, the corset, you're right.
38:23But the pant and the sweater top, I did like.
38:26I liked the movement coming down the runway.
38:28I don't know when it was coming down.
38:29I was like, oh, it looks kind of like Laura Piana vibes.
38:31Laura Piana vibes.
38:33Come on, guys.
38:34Turn around, please.
38:35No.
38:36Do you see the seam of the pant when she turns around?
38:40There's the puckering.
38:41Yeah, it is a struggle in the back.
38:43There's a little bit of a problem with this bib that falls from the corset.
38:48I think there's too many ideas put in.
38:50The flap in the front, the flaps down the arms.
38:52She's playing homage to her heritage and, you know.
38:54Yes, I love that.
38:55But I don't see that in the look at all.
38:57No.
38:59All right.
38:59There's a lot for us to talk about.
39:01You can leave the runway.
39:08Let's talk about Angelo.
39:09It is a tough competition to be in if you're that much of a minimalist,
39:13because this is a show and you're competing with people that are going to razzle dazzle.
39:18You have to remember you are in a competition. You have to remember that. Give us a show.
39:26Vijay's look was actually really good.
39:28I hated it.
39:29The ties were insane.
39:31I thought the dress was really well made. It was just out of context.
39:35Yes, I would buy that.
39:36It was the wrong story.
39:37The sneakers with it is for me the worst.
39:39Yeah.
39:40She has to really watch out for her styling because I don't think she's got it together.
39:46And it's, as we all know, a full polish look that has to come down.
39:50Yeah.
39:50It may not be at leisure wear, but I hope that the judges will appreciate the hard work that I put in
39:58that dress.
39:58Alexis was an eyesore.
40:00The execution was really poor. And frankly, I also thought her styling was bad.
40:05Yeah.
40:06That as a top, I could work with that, like with jeans. And I literally can't work with any of it.
40:12I do not want to be part of a judging panel where everybody gets a trophy.
40:16It was really bad.
40:18It was bad.
40:18I agree.
40:20I'm not ready to go home this early in the game. I want my daughter to see her dad give it his all
40:26to achieve the dream of becoming the next big thing in fashion.
40:30It has been so much fun. I'm so pissed though.
40:33It's disappointing knowing what you have to offer and not doing that. I just hope that I have the
40:43chance to show people what I bring to the table as a creative.
40:47Oh, God.
40:48My girl, Alex, she's in the bottom. I wonder if things would have been different if I kept Jesus
40:57and next to BJ. Maybe I should have been more of a leader. There's a part of me that's thinking,
41:03this is because of me.
41:06One mistake can send you home.
41:11Project Runway is, I know it's going to change my life for the better.
41:16I just hope that the judges will give me another chance.
41:19Next time on Project Runway, I think we're going to blow it up. Ethan and Jesus,
41:27you'll be picking your houses. I always wanted to start my own house.
41:31Each house must show that boring can be brilliant. Sofia Vergara will wear the winning look.
41:39What is all that? Fringe? Oh, Lord. Wait, you have nothing to try on.
