Trump criticized a federal appeals court ruling that temporarily blocked a land transfer needed for Rio Tinto and BHP’s Resolution Copper project in Arizona, according to CNBC. Trump said on Truth Social that the latest setback to Arizona’s Resolution Copper mine would cost thousands of jobs at a time when the U.S. urgently needs copper. The 9th Circuit issued the order as it reviews challenges from opponents, including the San Carlos Apache Tribe, which argues the mine would damage sacred land and the environment. In a Truth Social post, Trump accused "Radical Left Activists" opposing the Resolution Copper mine as anti-American and acting on behalf of rival copper nations. Resolution Copper called the ruling a pause and expressed confidence in approval. San Carlos Apache Chairman Terry Rambler said the proposed mine would harm sacred land, water, and the environment, and accused Trump of echoing foreign mining misinformation.
