Die Sendung wurde zu einem Phänomen und produzierte etliche Ableger. Der Dokumentarfilm Predators untersucht den Aufstieg und Fall der Sendung und beschäftigt sich mit den rechtlich und ethisch fragwürdigen Taktiken bei der Selbstjustiz in ein Medienspektakel verwandelt wurde.
