00:00I build this maximum security prison.
00:03And if this cop and this criminal survive
00:05a hundred days together, I will give them half a million dollars.
00:09What's going on?
00:10Nice to officially meet you.
00:11Nice to meet you.
00:12Lenny.
00:12Ian.
00:13You guys want to be uncuffed?
00:15That'd be great.
00:17Now that that's out the way, at any point
00:19over the next 100 days, if either of you
00:22decide to leave, you both get nothing.
00:25Have you guys ever seen half a million dollars in real life?
00:27Never.
00:28Well, I owed half a million when I got out of prison.
00:30Does that count?
00:32How long were you a cop?
00:3317 years.
00:34How long were you a criminal?
00:37Three years in federal prison.
00:39How do these compare to the prison you're in?
00:40These are a little thicker, and we have a pillow.
00:42You didn't get a pillow when you're in prison.
00:44They don't give you a pillow.
00:45Well, aside from the pillow, this prison
00:47is a one-to-one replica of what an actual prison would be like.
00:51Dude, he's got the real prison toilet.
00:53Wow.
00:54We're to feed you guys three times a day.
00:56We're going to cut the lights off at the same time every night,
00:58and we're going to give you a wake-up call every morning.
01:00Good luck.
01:03They really made this like prison.
01:06These seats are cold.
01:07Uncomfortable.
01:08Cold.
01:09As always, we have a ton of cameras
01:11monitoring their every move.
01:12They're listening to everything that we're saying,
01:14so anything that we say, they're going to get ideas.
01:16Today was the first time that this cop
01:17and this criminal have ever met.
01:19We didn't know it yet, but over the course of this video,
01:21Ian and Lenny quickly became enemies.
01:24There's going to be stealing.
01:25I am now the smuggling convict.
01:27Bites.
01:28So because I'm not religious, it's an issue?
01:30Oh, I didn't say that.
01:31We're going to need an EMT.
01:33An even betrayal.
01:34You're Lenny the snitch.
01:35This is brutal.
01:36Will they make it the entire hundred days,
01:39or will one of them screw the other?
01:41All I want to do is go home with all the money,
01:43and if I have to strangle a cop, so be it.
01:45Dibs on bottom bunk.
01:46Nah, I'm taking the bottom bunk.
01:47Whatever, old man.
01:48In prison, it goes by the elder respect,
01:51so whoever's older gets to decide first.
01:53What if he snores at night?
01:55I do.
01:56Good night.
01:57Hey, what about a warning?
01:59All right, criminal, get some rest.
02:06Good morning.
02:07It is way too early.
02:08This stupid cop was snoring all night.
02:11Snoring kept me up.
02:12You did it?
02:13Yeah.
02:13So I think it's like judging by the sky,
02:16like maybe 6 or 7 a.m. right now, the first night.
02:20Jimmy, I got to say, that really did feel like prison.
02:23The most important question, what were you locked up for?
02:24Brought in money laundering.
02:26So I started lying, borrowing money from this person
02:28to pay this person.
02:29Lost everyone's money, but the problem became
02:31I lied about the losses.
02:32So I ended up with $500,000 of debt.
02:35Which, coincidentally, is the same amount of money
02:37they could win in this video.
02:39Meal time.
02:40Guys, we got our first meal in prison right here.
02:42This actually looks better than prison.
02:44Ian the criminal seems to be right at home here.
02:46It's actually pretty cozy down here.
02:48While Lenny the cop is fighting to adapt to prison life.
02:51I've locked people up my whole life,
02:52so it's weird to be on the other end of it.
02:54Them telling me what time I got to go to sleep,
02:56what time I'm going to be waking up,
02:57and what time I'm going to be eating.
02:59Like, that's a wild, crazy adjustment for me.
03:01Good morning.
03:02Ian and Lenny's relationship was off to a bit of a rocky start.
03:06I think I might sleep on the floor for the snoring.
03:08Probably so annoying.
03:10I've officially moved my bed, and hopefully it will deflect Mr. Lenny's snoring.
03:14Even with the tension between them and Ian's lack of sleep,
03:17the cop and criminal had to do something to cure their boredom.
03:20They worked together to create a basketball hoop with their bed frame.
03:23This is a dope idea.
03:25And even utilized it as a pull-up bar.
03:27I was not athletic my first prison go around,
03:30so I'm making it up my second one.
03:31There we go.
03:32It was clear that they wanted some workout equipment.
03:34I'm trying to turn a jail body into a beach body.
03:36And as usual, I had something for them on day 10 that might help them out.
03:42Officer Beast reporting...
03:45Officer Beast reporting for duty.
03:46Let's see how our prisoners are doing.
03:48How's it going, boys?
03:49Ward and Jimmy!
03:50I see you dismantled the bed here.
03:52Well, I'm living with Snorlax over here.
03:54Snorlax?
03:55What, you snore?
03:56Apparently, but I don't believe it.
04:00What do you think the day 10 offer is?
04:02Personal chef, a library.
04:04What if it was none of the above?
04:07Follow me, boys.
04:08This locked door is the first of many restricted areas
04:11that I will reveal throughout the course of this video.
04:13Guards, unlock the door.
04:14East wing.
04:16Right this way.
04:17Welcome to the prison yard.
04:19Out here, you'll have everything you need to stay fit for the next 90 days.
04:23Yeah, let's go.
04:24For one hour a day, you'll have access to a pull-up bar,
04:27a basketball goal.
04:28Just soak it in.
04:29This would make time go by so much faster.
04:31Oh, it feels great seeing the sun.
04:33Are you ready to hear the offer?
04:35Yes, we are.
04:36Yes.
04:36All right, come on in.
04:37I'll lock the interrogation room.
04:38Area unlocked.
04:40All right, come on in.
04:41Have a seat.
04:42All right.
04:42Now that you're in separate rooms with no ability to communicate with each other,
04:46the day 10 offer is.
04:48If you guys want the recreational area, it's going to cost you $50,000 of your prize pool.
04:54If you both accept it, it's yours for 50 grand.
04:57Well, where this gets interesting is if one of you accept it and the other doesn't,
05:01you still pay the 50 grand for the prize pool, but only one of you gets access to it for the rest of
05:06the video.
05:07Oh, this is not what I was expecting.
05:09You've had 10 days in this prison to get to know each other, but can you predict what the other
05:14person will choose?
05:15Oh my goodness.
05:16It's a big decision because this affects the next 90 days.
05:18I'm tired of looking like the bad guy in life.
05:21You know what the good guy would do, but being the good guy for 90 days kind of sucks.
05:26I want to cry.
05:27All right, you've both made your decision.
05:29They have no idea what each other chose.
05:32Want to kick us off?
05:33I said yes.
05:34I haven't told him what you chose yet.
05:37Say yes.
05:42My view on the money aspect has changed drastically.
05:45I'm willing to spend money to live more comfortably to get through this time here.
05:49Who knows, we might not make it to the end if we pass up the things that could make our
05:53situation more comfortable.
05:54Some money is better than no money.
05:56That's the way that I see it.
05:57Good morning.
06:00Good morning.
06:01It was crazy to see that in our day of recreation time,
06:05made them feel like they could stay here for a hundred days.
06:07Wow.
06:08Freedom, baby.
06:09Definitely worth the 50k.
06:1150 grand well spent.
06:12Over the next couple of days, they took full advantage of everything the yard had to offer.
06:17Gonna come out of here looking like savages.
06:20For now, it seemed like the wreck yard allowed them to tolerate each other enough to survive.
06:24But there were some things about this challenge that they didn't handle so well.
06:28Because I built this set to be just like a real prison.
06:31And we all know prison food is not that good.
06:34This is Warden Jimmy's version of a meatloaf.
06:36Like a frozen burger, probably defrosted with some gravy on it.
06:39This food is absolute butt cheeks.
06:41I had no idea the people I arrested were eating this.
06:44I really don't know how much longer I could eat this.
06:46I would not wish this upon my worst enemy, what's going on right now.
06:49And that's why on day 20, I had the perfect thing for them.
06:53Are you ready for the day 20 offer?
06:55Yes.
06:55Yes.
06:56Let's go.
06:56One of you is gonna have to make the decision for both of you.
07:00Which one of you wants to make the decision that both of you will have to live with?
07:06All right, I'll just let you rock with it then.
07:07Okay.
07:08Oh, really?
07:08You trusting that much?
07:09Of course we do.
07:10Yeah, we talk a lot.
07:11Yeah.
07:11Okay, let's go.
07:12Kitchen unlocked.
07:14Come on in.
07:14Wow.
07:15There's a kitchen in here?
07:17In this kitchen is all the ingredients and cooking equipment you'll need to cook delicious
07:21and healthy meals for the rest of your time in this prison.
07:24You can continue eating the prison meals, which you don't like, or take this kitchen
07:28and eat whatever you want for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every single day.
07:33You just have to give up your yard time every day.
07:37Do you know what the offer is?
07:38It's trade the rec yard for a kitchen.
07:41Me personally, I would rather have the food.
07:43Could have fun cooking throughout the day.
07:44We can make creations.
07:46Do we have any meat?
07:47Do we have any meat?
07:48What do you think?
07:49We got some beef patties, some hot dogs, everything you could want.
07:53Okay, okay.
07:54But here's the thing.
07:55You're not just deciding for you.
07:56What do you think your partner would think?
07:58Oh man, I don't know what he'd want me to do.
08:00Well, I'll give you a minute to choose.
08:02Ian, I gave your roommate the choice to trade the recreation yard for a fully stocked kitchen.
08:11I already know what he picked.
08:12He picked keep the yard time.
08:13Yeah, he didn't even consider my offer.
08:16Guys, every single day you complain about the food.
08:18I thought you were going to take it.
08:19You know what?
08:21That was a little easier than I thought.
08:22Day 30.
08:24I'm going to make it not so easy on you guys.
08:25Ooh, all right.
08:28Bye, Warden Jimmy.
08:28Not giving up the track yard for nothing.
08:33Another day in paradise.
08:34It's been a full 24 hours since my bunkie and I made the decision to turn down the kitchen.
08:39We're not feeling the least bit of regret.
08:41You feeling any regret over there?
08:43None.
08:43We're so happy we're not cooped up all day.
08:46I can't wait to see my wife's reaction.
08:47She's going to be like, ain't no way that you didn't take that basketball court.
08:51Ain't no way you didn't take being outside.
08:53Despite being happy with the results of their challenge,
08:55they were also beginning to think about what they were missing outside of the prison.
08:59What I have to remember is why I'm here and what my purpose is.
09:04Winning that money for my family is the ultimate goal.
09:07I got my wife.
09:08I have a beautiful family.
09:09I can't back out of this because everybody else is dependent on me.
09:13It must be nice having a wife and kids.
09:15I did a year without my family.
09:21I mean, I saw my dad once in that year for two days.
09:25Once?
09:26Mm-hmm.
09:27I didn't see my brother or my mom for a year.
09:28Really?
09:31That's that.
09:36Limited to an hour of yard time a day.
09:38I can't wait for yard time.
09:39They grew restless and found creative ways to pass the time before the next challenge.
09:43Catch up dodgeball.
09:46Get out of here, copper.
09:49We're going to need an EMT.
09:50Wrap me up.
09:51Officer, am I going to lose it?
09:53A losing breath.
09:56Our inmates have now been living in this prison for 30 days.
10:00Let's see how they're doing.
10:01What up, boys?
10:01Hey, Warden Jimmy.
10:03You guys, you're a month into it.
10:05How's it been?
10:05It's been good.
10:06Come on inside, fellas.
10:07There's a new area of the prison that we're going to unlock right now.
10:11Unlock the library door.
10:12You gotta be kidding me.
10:13Library of Life.
10:14Oh, are you serious?
10:15Seriously.
10:16And there are literally hundreds of books in here.
10:18We got magazines.
10:19Wait, hold up.
10:20Here's the catch.
10:21Access to this library is 100% free, but only one of you gets it.
10:27For the next 70 days, one of you will get to go in here for an hour and read.
10:32The other will not.
10:33Oh, for an hour every day?
10:34Mm-hmm.
10:35And you can't bring the books out?
10:36Cannot bring the books out.
10:37That is strictly forbidden.
10:38What else is included in there?
10:40All right, we'll do a tour.
10:40You have lots of books in here.
10:42They got a Bible.
10:43Look at this.
10:44This right here will get me through.
10:45This is the only book that I need.
10:47What's the computer about?
10:48You gotta put that back.
10:50Leave it to him to try to steal books.
10:52This bad boy will play Tetris and Minesweeper.
10:55Got some more books over here.
10:56Oh, man.
10:57This is tough.
10:58This is disrespectful.
10:59I'm going to need you guys to step out.
11:00I'll give you guys a couple hours to negotiate amongst each other.
11:03Good luck deciding.
11:04Thanks, Jordan.
11:04I'm not happy with this.
11:05Are you guys like reading this much?
11:07Yeah.
11:07Have you ever been locked up?
11:09No, actually.
11:10We're dying in here.
11:11Okay, I'll be back in two hours for your decision.
11:13One of us always has to suffer in Mr. Beast's prison.
11:16We gotta talk it out just like we do everything else.
11:18Hopefully, it doesn't come down to me putting him in a headlock.
11:22After I left, Ian and Liddy kind of avoided each other.
11:25This sucks.
11:27Agonizing over my offer.
11:28It was literally so close.
11:30I'm not asking for any other books.
11:32I just want one.
11:33We have to come up with something.
11:35We can't just do nothing.
11:36This library, I mean, it's meant obviously to pit us against each other.
11:40So what's on your mind?
11:41You're the philosophical one.
11:42I think that we have no choice but to take it.
11:44Because it's a freebie.
11:45It's too good to pass up.
11:46The question is, though, is who takes it?
11:48Right now, I'm shooting hoops.
11:50And I'm still pretty happy with the decision that we made in regards to that.
11:57I'm going to put the bowl in your court
11:58because you put the bowl in my court for the last one.
12:01Oh, sorry.
12:01Trying to kill me out here, bro.
12:04It seemed like a fair trade to put the library decision on Ian.
12:07But there was one thought that Liddy just couldn't shake.
12:10I should have my Bible with all honesty.
12:12Why do you think that you deserve the library more than me?
12:16Just like what I need to help get me to 100 days, you know?
12:18You possibly wanting to cop out as a result is, I don't know.
12:24What makes you think you deserve the library then?
12:26The Bible is the only thing that will get me through the next 70 days.
12:28It's not just for entertainment.
12:29So because I'm not religious, it's an issue?
12:32Whoa, I didn't say that.
12:34I just feel like you're changing up on me out of the blue for no reason right now.
12:37Then we just go with no books.
12:39If that's the way it's got to be, bro.
12:40All right.
12:41It's whatever, bro.
12:42It's just really making me second guess.
12:44Honestly, this whole thing's getting ridiculous.
12:46Too bad you don't have a book to distract you.
12:48I think we're ready for the warden at this point, guys.
12:50It looked like this cop and criminal might have landed back at square one.
12:54But nonetheless, their time was up.
12:58All right, I'm ready for your decision.
13:01Is it you or is it you that is getting library time every day for the next 70 days?
13:06Jimmy, the thing is, looks like I'm going to be getting that library time.
13:14You are?
13:15Yep.
13:15You're giving it to him?
13:16I was a little concerned.
13:18It's been a hard last couple hours.
13:19Why did you give it to him?
13:21When it came down to the yard, I said yes.
13:24Without hesitation, he was cool.
13:27He was in 25,000.
13:28That's the only thing that he's wanted.
13:29So I had to do him the justice.
13:31You're lucky.
13:32He's a good man.
13:32He's a good cop.
13:33I didn't expect that from a cop.
13:34I was wrong.
13:36I feel like that wasn't necessary.
13:37He just gave you a library.
13:43It was Ian's first day with access to the new library.
13:46And right away, he got to work to ensure that Lenny wouldn't be left out.
13:50I believe this is what he was looking for.
13:52I know how important the Bible is to Lenny.
13:54So I'm writing down quotes from it that I can share with him.
13:58I appreciate it.
13:58I got to live through you.
13:59Vicariously through me, you know?
14:01The fact that he's sharing, it shows that he's a good bunkie.
14:04But no later than the very next morning, did Ian begin to test the limits.
14:09Found a little artwork we can hang up somewhere.
14:12Said we can't bring books out, but I'm just smuggling pages out.
14:15Wow, that's pretty cool.
14:17And over the next couple days, it wasn't just Ian having all the fun.
14:20We got some artwork.
14:21And the prison began to change.
14:24Making this place look nice.
14:26And even with cameras aimed at them 24-7, Ian's inner criminal finally came out.
14:32There was no way I was going to leave him out there struggling with no Bible, no books,
14:36nothing to do.
14:37And I was in here enjoying myself.
14:38This thing is a beauty.
14:39That's all I need while I'm in here.
14:41They carried on as if they'd never be caught.
14:43Enjoying the materials.
14:44My new name is Smuggler Vic.
14:46I'm a smuggling convict.
14:48I literally have books hidden everywhere.
14:50Here in the bathroom.
14:51Look at that.
14:52In here.
14:52But we're just going to keep getting as many books as possible hidden all over this place.
14:58It's day 40.
14:59How's it going guys?
15:00We have a surprise, but we can only take one at a time.
15:02You guys have to decide who goes first.
15:04Rock, paper, scissors, shoot.
15:05He got me, he goes.
15:10We've opened our very own shop.
15:11You're going to have some decisions to make.
15:14We come through all the prisoners' conversations and stocked this store full of the items that
15:19they wanted.
15:19And it ranges from this mystery box, which could literally have anything inside,
15:23all the way down to this handball that in the outside world would cost a dollar.
15:27But in this prison.
15:28Every single thing here is 10 grand.
15:30A handball for $10,000.
15:32But of course, they were only allowed to spend the money that they were competing for.
15:36And I have to decide now.
15:37Yeah.
15:37I'm going to take the mystery box.
15:41$10,000.
15:42Pleasure doing business with you.
15:43And while Lenny was happy with just the mystery box,
15:46Ian's criminal spending habits resurfaced.
15:48Oh, wow.
15:49This is actually pretty cool.
15:50If I spend too much money, Lenny's going to get really mad.
15:53Getting a little nervous here.
15:54This is 100% going to be my first purchase of the day.
15:56See, the thing is, at least he knows what he's getting.
15:59I have no clue what's in there.
16:00This is a great package for 10 grand.
16:02Don't buy too much, Ian.
16:03I'd like the melatonin and the Clippers.
16:05We're going to have some fun in here, buddy.
16:08But how much did you spend?
16:09$30,000, but we got Feastables.
16:11And honestly, I am so happy right now.
16:13I got Clippers for us.
16:14I got you the sleep mask.
16:15If I really needed those things, I would have spent the $10,000 on them.
16:19Listen, I went to prison for spending a lot of money, so I couldn't resist.
16:23There was just dollar signs everywhere.
16:25Do you want to see what's in the mystery box?
16:30$20,000.
16:32Come on.
16:33He's making it.
16:33I think now we have enough to keep us busy to the point where we don't need to spend anything else.
16:39And now that the boys had some of the items they wanted, they were able to pass time more easily.
16:44They made art with the $10,000 colored pencils.
16:47These are my first of the colored ones for the walls.
16:49Eight Feastables, the best chocolate in the world.
16:51I'm so excited for this.
16:52Oh, these things are legit good.
16:54That's my new favorite.
16:55You guys already know, Feastables is the best tasting chocolate in the world.
16:58And we just launched our brand new creamy hazelnut cups.
17:00Usually cups have peanut butter inside of them, like our Feastables peanut butter cups.
17:04But when I was testing prototypes and I tried creamy hazelnut chocolate filling inside of a cup,
17:08it was phenomenal.
17:09And so we launched this product and the reviews have been out of this world.
17:12It's available at these retailers.
17:13Go give it a try.
17:14Then they made paper airplanes with $10,000 paper.
17:20Somebody come get this guy.
17:21New level of boredom.
17:22Did they ever diagnose you with ADHD?
17:28And Lenny gave Ian the most expensive haircut of his life.
17:32Now the guards will finally be afraid of me.
17:35And eventually, Lenny came to appreciate what Ian bought for him.
17:38I gotta keep it real with you.
17:40These earplugs and melatonin, they definitely come through in the clutch.
17:43It really helps me get some extra rest.
17:45Thanks.
17:45You're welcome, buddy.
17:47But they still wanted one thing that they couldn't buy in a store.
17:50Tomorrow's day 50 challenge day.
17:52Hoping it's family or a phone call.
17:54Toughest plot is being away from my family.
17:57Would you spend money on a phone call?
17:58Yeah, I'd spend money on a phone call.
18:00Which is why I have the perfect offer for day 50.
18:02Boys, it's day 50.
18:11Before I reveal the day 50 offer, I need to show you two some clips.
18:14Uh-oh.
18:15Let's do it.
18:16Here's you one day smuggling the books into your pants.
18:19Eventually, you started carrying so little that you literally threw the books out of the library.
18:25And then you just flat out walked out of there with the books.
18:28Day 50 is a huge milestone.
18:30Your families are sitting outside in a prison bus.
18:33And we were going to celebrate it by bringing in both of your families for free.
18:37But because you broke the rules, only one of you gets to see your families instead of both of you.
18:44And this will be the only time that you can see your family before the end of the 100 days.
18:49Warden's playing dirty.
18:51The only thing I think I've been very consistent about to see in my family.
18:54So who's it gonna be?
18:56My man's gonna see his family today.
19:01Really?
19:01Appreciate that.
19:02How does that make you feel?
19:03I just see him honoring me just like I honored him.
19:06Looks like I'm gonna be getting that library time.
19:08And uh, he's kind of also the reason why we're being punished.
19:13Oh.
19:14This man is working with the cops right now.
19:16Are you kidding me?
19:17Confiscate all the paraphernalia.
19:18You're serious.
19:19Oh, and there's one more twist.
19:21You can keep your family as long as you want, but he doesn't leave solitary until they leave.
19:24Okay.
19:25Wow, this is brutal.
19:27Taylor, take him to solitary.
19:28I'm happy, but I feel horrible at the same time.
19:32Yeah, just don't sneak books out, man.
19:34I'm gonna keep sneaking the books out, Warden.
19:36Spoken like a true criminal.
19:37Close the door.
19:38Have fun.
19:39Oh, man.
19:40This is brutal.
19:41Come on inside.
19:42Liddy's waiting to see you guys.
19:45Hi, Dad.
19:48Go see him.
19:51Daddy.
19:53That's so freaking adorable.
19:56I miss you so much.
20:00What's it like seeing your dad in orange instead of blue?
20:04Very weird.
20:04He never was.
20:06Your family can stay in here as long as you want.
20:09Just know your partner doesn't leave solitary until they leave.
20:11Have fun, everybody.
20:12Thanks.
20:13I'm happy to have my family here with me.
20:21Apparently, I can keep them here as long as possible.
20:24It's definitely going to be a recharge for me as well, and they want to push through to get to
20:28day 100.
20:29I want everybody in the family to be proud of me, not just the people that are here.
20:32We're all counting on you.
20:35I got you.
20:37Hearing Lenny and his family out there just chilling, and I'm stuck in here locked up like a dog.
20:42Every minute I'm standing in here, I just get more and more mad that I'm sitting in the solitary.
20:47It gives you PTSD.
20:49It sucks.
20:50Ian got some time to think about things, but as the hours went on,
20:53Lenny spending more time with his family only made Ian more mad.
20:58Ian, your time is up.
21:00I'll tell you what.
21:00I figured out your nickname while I was in there, though.
21:03Oh, yeah?
21:04What you got?
21:04You're Lenny the Snitch.
21:06He's kind of also the reason why we're being punished.
21:09Rad me out off my book supply, bro.
21:11Look at this.
21:12I got wiped clean.
21:14Come out here laying down the law.
21:15Why's that?
21:15I'm a little upset, bro.
21:16I've been stuck in there.
21:17You're having a good meal.
21:18You know what I got?
21:19I got nothing, bro.
21:21You volunteered to do it, so why complain?
21:23You threw me right under the bus saying it was my idea for the smuggling.
21:26Everything was on video.
21:27But I'm just saying you could have just, we could have stand united.
21:29You snitched me out, bro.
21:31I didn't snitch you out.
21:32They did not know about under the bed.
21:33Bro, they have camera footage.
21:35What are you talking about?
21:35And I went into solitary for coffee.
21:36They have, they have camera footage.
21:38But they still didn't go under the bed.
21:40So you want to hear me talk, or you just want to express your feelings?
21:42I'm just saying, I took the major one for the team.
21:45All I'm saying is this.
21:46Watch what you say.
21:47That's what I'm saying.
21:48Okay.
21:48Well, you made your decisions.
21:50I make my decisions.
21:51It is what it is, you know?
21:52Yeah, it is what it is.
21:53You snitched me out.
22:00Ian's definitely feeling in a bit more of a somber mood today.
22:03I got to see my family.
22:05Ian didn't.
22:05It's definitely changed the atmosphere as a result of that.
22:08They didn't want to play any chess.
22:10They didn't want to play basketball.
22:12Lenny and I have definitely been talking a lot less.
22:14He has his routine.
22:15I have my routine.
22:16And that's all there is kind of really to it.
22:19Even with the divide, Lenny couldn't help but worry about his friend.
22:22You all right, buddy?
22:23No, I'm depressed.
22:24What's the matter?
22:25I'm ready to go home.
22:27I've had enough.
22:28Even though it was only halfway through the challenge, Ian was ready to call it quits.
22:32Oh man, I can't wait to go home.
22:35All I want to do is go home.
22:36I'm just fed up.
22:38Lenny will have to find a way to rekindle their friendship.
22:41Because they can leave at any point.
22:43And if Ian goes home, they both lose everything.
22:46Gentlemen.
22:47Morning, Jimmy.
22:48Morning.
22:49I have good news for the both of you.
22:51Our day 60 offer.
22:53Something that will help bring you back together.
22:55Hey Chandler, bring it on in.
22:58Here we come.
23:00Oh, a TV.
23:01Look at this thing.
23:03I know this TV is old, but it's what you're getting since you are in prison.
23:07And you can watch these movies on it over the next 40 days.
23:10Oh, were you guys born in the 50s with some of these movies?
23:12Well, you don't want to watch movies?
23:14And the board games are included?
23:15Of course.
23:16You can have all this for one hour a day for the measly price of $30,000.
23:22I think this man's losing it.
23:24I don't know.
23:24It's kind of tempting.
23:25Okay.
23:26An hour a day?
23:27An hour a day for 40 hours of entertainment.
23:29Jimmy, you can't even watch a movie in an hour.
23:32You just watch an hour of a movie.
23:33We take it away.
23:34And then the next day you watch the other hour of the movie.
23:36The movie selection?
23:37Not really my cup of tea.
23:39This is a terrible deal.
23:40Hard no.
23:41No?
23:42No.
23:43Hey, I thought you guys were bored.
23:44No worries.
23:45Chandler, wheel it on out.
23:46Ah, man.
23:48Hold up.
23:49Chandler, pat him down.
23:50I didn't do anything.
23:51Pat him down.
23:52Oh my God.
23:53In the underwear?
23:53And he's looking for sympathy after the last time he broke the rules.
23:57Get it out of here before he steals anymore.
23:58Bye, TV.
24:00Bye, VCR.
24:00Bye, Titanic.
24:02Ian was not happy with the offers,
24:04which was making Lenny worried that Ian might leave.
24:06I just feel like I'm getting brutalized every 10 days now.
24:10No family.
24:11Not even a phone call.
24:12It's pretty miserable, honestly.
24:13I could definitely feel myself having a bit more of a short fuse.
24:17It kind of gets annoying.
24:18There's always something to complain about with this guy.
24:20I feel like I got hit by a bus a second time.
24:23I do not want to be here anymore.
24:25I'm definitely starting to get worried he's going to quit.
24:27I want to go home.
24:27I want to go home, he says.
24:30I'm just going to be thinking about that dogging.
24:32He dogged me on that last challenge.
24:34I got dog, dog, dog, dog, dog.
24:36Yeah, I wish this guy would shut up already.
24:38But because I had my biggest offer planned for day 80,
24:41I decided not to give them anything on day 70,
24:44so that they'd have to heal the divide themselves.
24:49You're actually in this thing.
24:50When you're in the belly of the beast, it's hard.
24:52It's been very depressing and sad.
24:54The last few weeks, all you could do is read, work out, play chess.
24:58It's definitely mentally challenging.
25:00I just want to go home.
25:01One of those days, huh?
25:02Ian was saying how he feels like he wants to go home.
25:05It's going to be an uphill battle.
25:06Just got to keep this guy on board.
25:08Because either one of these contestants can leave at any time,
25:11Lenny was continually worried that Ian would leave early
25:15and lose them both all the money they had worked for.
25:17What time is it?
25:18Time for you to get a watch.
25:20I was going to ask if you want to play chess, but I'll go back.
25:22I can have a seat.
25:23His name's Leonard, a.k.a. The Snitching Convict.
25:27You snitched on yourself.
25:30You gotta crack yourself up.
25:32Yo, we got the snitching convict.
25:34You're the real convict, not I.
25:36It became clear that Ian wasn't going to let certain things go.
25:39Here, there was only an option for a visit once,
25:41and only Lenny got the visit.
25:43Desperate to stay in the challenge, Lenny knew he had to lift Ian's spirits
25:46if they were going to make it to the end.
25:48Life is good.
25:49No, which makes me miserable.
25:51But things only got worse.
25:53I don't think I would have any problem walking out of here early.
25:57Being here with Ian, I'm feeling negative the whole time.
26:00I feel frustrated.
26:01I have to give me an offer to take less money.
26:03I'm going to take that.
26:04What, to leave?
26:05Yeah, I'm out of here.
26:07At this point, with only 20 days left, it looked like they were about to fail.
26:12So I had an idea.
26:13My next offer was an opportunity to rekindle their friendship,
26:17or the final factor that could bring this entire video to an end.
26:21Oh, boy.
26:22Oh, what do we got here?
26:24What the?
26:24In front of you is a 2,000 pound boulder, inside of which is a key
26:29that will unlock a box containing $100,000.
26:34If you want that money, you will have one hour a day for the next 10 days
26:38to break this rock open and get the key.
26:40By accepting this risk, you give me that $50,000 right now.
26:44But if you complete it, I will give you $100,000.
26:47If you guys want a shot at pulling this off, you will have to work together.
26:52I'll give you guys some time to decide.
26:54We just got to grind it out.
26:55You know, I know you don't like to sweep, but you're going to have to put in your work on this one.
26:58Are we both going to be able to whack at this thing?
27:00No, we're going to be good.
27:01You got to, we just, we'll be fine.
27:04There's no way, Letty.
27:06I feel like this is a highway robbery.
27:11Now, do you guys think you have what it takes to take on this challenge?
27:14We got this.
27:15We got this.
27:16Do we?
27:16Absolutely.
27:17All right, you brought this on yourselves.
27:19Boys, take away the $50,000.
27:21Just be easy with it, because we're going to get that back soon.
27:23It's gone.
27:24Be easy with it.
27:24Inmates, your first hour begins now.
27:28For the entire first hour, they hammered the boulder nonstop.
27:31This is hard.
27:32I think we just lost $50,000.
27:36I hate it here.
27:37We have nine hours left to get through this rock.
27:39But despite their lack of progress, the next day they came outside and got started right away.
27:45You got to hustle.
27:46We don't got no time to play.
27:47Three minute counts.
27:48There it is.
27:49And even though it was only their second hour with the rock,
27:52Ian was already settling into more of a hype man role.
27:56Come on, Lenny.
27:57Ooh, there we go.
27:58There we go, Lenny.
27:59Everything we got on this, Lenny.
28:01And Ian watched from the sidelines all the way through day four.
28:04Ha ha ha, Lenny!
28:06Oh, man.
28:08Very disappointing day.
28:09All I know is I'm spent.
28:11Yeah, I'm pretty fried.
28:12We have to work as a team.
28:16I think Ian could tell that Lenny was disappointed.
28:19Because the next morning, he had a pretty big shift in his mindset.
28:22Let's go.
28:23Yeah, boy.
28:24And when Lenny tapped out, Ian stepped up.
28:26Let me try a hammer.
28:27So we can get that key.
28:27Now, it was both of them together versus the boulder.
28:31I'm just putting in that work.
28:32We got a real chisel.
28:33We're getting major progress right here.
28:35As you can see, there's giant cracks.
28:37There you go.
28:37There it is.
28:38Oh, she blows.
28:42We got hope now, boys.
28:44While they're hammering that rock, I want to tell you about that brand new Mr. Beast Lab's hybrids.
28:48These test tubes just started hitting shelves.
28:50Inside these are random parts of hybrids that you can mix and match to create your own unique Mr. Beast Lab experiment.
28:56They call me the Rock Slayer.
28:57And to make these things even cooler, we developed an animated show.
29:01So a lot of the characters you'll be creating with these hybrids, you'll actually see in the show in October.
29:05You got 18 minutes.
29:06We're going to be close to this thing.
29:07Hybrids are available wherever you buy toys.
29:09Go collect unique parts and build your very own customizable beast that only you have.
29:13Panthar, should they buy them?
29:15Let's see if they smashed this rock open.
29:17And even though they were working as a team, an hour a day for 10 days is a pretty tight deadline.
29:23Inmates, your sixth hour is up.
29:26One for the rock, zero for the inmates for today.
29:29We made no progress.
29:30No progress, sir.
29:31We need something that's going to help us get that key to get that $100,000.
29:37Each new day, they swung hundreds of times.
29:40But the rock wasn't budging.
29:41We did a lot of work.
29:42No major progress.
29:44We might not make it.
29:44I'm not sure.
29:45If we lose that 50 grand, I'm going to quit.
29:47Ian realized that force wasn't enough.
29:49What they needed was knowledge.
29:51There's got to be an answer in here.
29:53Oh, a book about rocks.
29:55I ripped out the pages that had to do with our exact task.
29:58It says we need to use leverage.
30:00You think it could fit under this?
30:01Oh, yeah.
30:02Push it that way.
30:03So I could stack weights under, too, to hold.
30:05It's not going to push.
30:07But they still couldn't even put a dent into the rock.
30:10This is a grind.
30:10I'm tired of you, rock sickness.
30:13The rock was too heavy to lift.
30:15So at two days left, Ian went back to his book to search for more answers.
30:19There's another picture right here I was able to find.
30:22It looks like we're supposed to use a chisel on a weak point in the rock.
30:26This is kind of the weak spot.
30:27Oh, it's coming apart.
30:28Look at this.
30:29It's splitting lighting.
30:30Dude, the whole rock's splitting off.
30:32Yeah, we might literally make $100,000 today.
30:39Not getting any movement.
30:40Mates, your ninth hour is up.
30:43Man, we had a good momentum, but we ran out of time.
30:46We are almost through this thing.
30:48It's going to be the final day.
30:50This rock is no joke.
30:53No, it's not.
30:55Way harder than I expected it to be.
30:58I think at this point, it's 50-50 if we get through this thing.
31:03I'm ready to go.
31:04Inmates, it's wreck time.
31:06Suit up.
31:08It's rock slang time.
31:10This rock is going down, ladies and gentlemen.
31:12Your final hour starts now.
31:17I'm right here.
31:18I'm right here with you.
31:18Yeah, we got to go a little deeper.
31:19Go.
31:19That's a thick freaking slime.
31:21Let's get this thing out of here.
31:23Look at this.
31:24We got a key yet?
31:25There is hope.
31:26Yeah.
31:26The key's got to be in here.
31:28You have 15 minutes.
31:29You're a moment.
31:30You better hurry up on this.
31:31This concrete's the only thing in our way from us and $100,000.
31:3415 minutes.
31:36You're a moment.
31:36You're a moment.
31:37You're a moment.
31:38You're a moment.
31:39Yeah.
31:42Oh, my God.
31:43The key's out.
31:44Oh, baby.
31:45$100,000 right there.
31:48We did it, brother.
31:49You did it.
31:49Woo!
31:50Woo!
31:50Woo!
31:51Yeah!
31:52The $100,000 is officially yours.
31:57Let's go.
31:58Let's get it.
31:59Let's go.
31:59$100,000, baby.
32:02Cop and con.
32:02Cop and con, baby, for life.
32:05Are you guys ready to hear what the day 90 challenge is?
32:08Yes.
32:08Yes.
32:09What I'm about to offer is actually nothing,
32:15because on day 99, we have something especially brutal planned for the two of you.
32:19I'll see you then.
32:22Wow.
32:23What's happened in day 99?
32:25All throughout this video, Ian has stayed true to his convict ways.
32:29Time flies when you're stealing books.
32:31Well, on day 99, he will have the chance to steal the entire prize pool.
32:36Today is day 91, but most importantly, it's my man Ian's birthday.
32:45I woke up to a nice surprise by my bunkmate over there.
32:49He's such a good guy.
32:50I can't believe I'm spending my third birthday now in prison, but at least I got a good bunkmate.
32:56But even with over 90 days behind them, Ian and Lenny never imagined that the final 10 days
33:02would be the toughest of their entire sentence.
33:04It's going slow.
33:05We're trying to find new ways to pass time in here.
33:07There's nothing else for us to do.
33:09You got access to the library, right?
33:11That would give us something to do if I just emptied the library.
33:13If you put the computer out, that would be hilarious.
33:16That would be great, son.
33:17And honestly, I don't blame them, because this is the only prison where acting up doesn't extend your sentence.
33:23I'll wake up early tomorrow and get it.
33:25Operation computer is a go.
33:27You're crazy.
33:28We're set up shop.
33:30There we go.
33:31Good job, buddy.
33:31We're in business, baby.
33:33We got something new to do.
33:35Normally, I would punish them for stealing.
33:37But day 99, quickly approaching, I'm just going to wait until then.
33:40We should bring this thing in here that has a little chair.
33:42That we could put in front of the computer.
33:44Yeah, this would be nice.
33:45There you go.
33:45I warned Jimmy, we're doing whatever we can to get back to you this week.
33:48Or we could be like two brothers sitting down next to each other.
33:51Hey, buddy.
33:52You gotta admit, it's poetic that throughout this entire video,
33:55the thing that brought the cop and the criminal closer together was stealing.
33:59I like seeing Lenny go over the dark side a little bit.
34:01He's encouraging me to break the rules, too, this time.
34:04We're taking extra rec time today.
34:06Time is up.
34:07Please come inside.
34:10Another win for the inmates.
34:12You're a troublemaker.
34:13Yeah, I've adapted to it.
34:14Like, I feel comfortable with it.
34:15I'm glad that I got to experience this as a police officer,
34:18to understand what it feels like to be on the other side of the fence.
34:22I have no regrets.
34:24But what both of these prisoners don't know,
34:26I will be putting the relationship they've been building over the last 99 days to the ultimate test.
34:31Boys, boys, boys.
34:33Well, well, well.
34:3599 days ago, you two were strangers.
34:37Do you guys think you're gonna be friends outside of jail?
34:39Oh, yeah.
34:40We're definitely close.
34:41Well, let's see if this final challenge changes that.
34:44Oh, man.
34:45Oh, here we go again.
34:46For this entire video, we've been seeing how two people from completely different backgrounds
34:51get along together.
34:52You've been through so many ups and downs.
34:54It all comes down to this final day here.
34:57Wow.
34:57And that's exactly why, for the next 24 hours,
35:00I'm gonna put each of you in two different solitary confinement cells.
35:04More than Jim.
35:05So.
35:06Are you solitary?
35:07But this time, there's a twist.
35:09Because in each of your cells, there is a button.
35:11And if either one of you presses it before the 24-hour timer is up,
35:15you leave your cell immediately and walk away with the entire $480,000 prize pool,
35:21thus stealing all of your fellow inmates' money.
35:25That's foul, bro.
35:26I don't think you're gonna take it.
35:27But you have to ask yourself, is he gonna take it?
35:30Just like he stole the books, the movies.
35:32And if so, should you take it before he does?
35:35He cried a lot about solitary confinement when he came down to the family visit.
35:40And he's been saying,
35:41you cannot pay me to ever go back into there again.
35:43Well, now I'm paying you $480,000 to leave this room.
35:47I know. That's why it's a very tempting offer.
35:49I could imagine.
35:50But I think he'll do it.
35:51You think he will?
35:51I think he will.
35:52I'd hit that button before he does.
35:54All right.
35:54Do you need anything?
35:55Uh, freedom?
35:56Uh, yeah. Just press that button.
35:59All right. The 24-hour has now begun.
36:02Oh, and one final thing.
36:04You won't know if the other person leaves until that timer hits zero.
36:11This sucks, man.
36:12I don't know if trusting the criminal with a red button that can give him $480,000
36:17was the smartest idea. I mean, a guy that went to prison for fraud could be a little tempting,
36:22you know?
36:23Worried about Ian not being able to make it through.
36:25How do I know that I can trust him with his prize money?
36:28They've been through so much throughout this video that it feels like they would never screw each
36:32other. But as someone who spent a lot of time in solitary confinement, a lot of time alone to
36:35yourself can make you see things differently. I think someone's pressing it.
36:38This is my first time in solitary confinement. This is Ian's second. He's scared of tight spaces.
36:44I don't like being in tight, confined spaces like this. This is not meant for me.
36:48Just remember, you're free to leave whenever you want to. All with the press of that button.
36:54Honestly, for me, I don't want to see this counter because it just gives me anxiety looking at it.
36:58So I'm going to use one of these garbage bags and I'm going to put it over the clock. I don't need
37:03it in my face. But the longer they sat in those cubes, the harder they thought about what they
37:07could do with their partner's half of the money. If I just go and hit that red button right there,
37:12I could pay off all my restitution in just one shot. Well, I owed half a million when I got out
37:17of prison. I could fix everything in the past in just one push. There's a lot of things that I could
37:23do with $480,000. It's education for my kids, no cost for me and my wife, possibly another house,
37:30or to push that button. Do I hit the button, get the $480,000 and pay off all my old debt,
37:36and screw over Lenny? You might have to. And the longer Ian thought about the money,
37:41the more he realized he deserved it more. Honestly, I feel like I had a way worse time
37:46than Lenny these 100 days, especially because I didn't get that visit and didn't get to see my
37:51family. How come I got to spend twice as much time in solitary than Lenny does? It doesn't make sense.
37:56If he left, that'd be heartbreaking. I put in just as much work as him. If he can't toughen up for 24
38:02hours, then it just goes to show that his concrete ways are still the same. There's been too many
38:07doggings to go around. I've had enough. Good night. I hope that Ian is out there when this all wraps up.
38:16100 days. All depended on the last 24 hours. If you're in solitary, please come out to the middle.
38:26I repeat, if you are in solitary, please come out to the middle. There are currently black curtains
38:33locking off both sections of the prison. If you're both standing there, you'll each evenly split that
38:39prize pool. But if only one of you is there, then you just spent 100 days in prison for nothing.
38:453, 2, 1. Drop the curtains.
39:01They didn't screw each other over. That is your $240,000. Well, now he dropped some on the ground.
39:08And to celebrate all your families, we did it! You two are free men!
39:19Hopefully they never go to prison again. If you haven't already, turn on notifications. We upload every
39:24other Saturday. We got happy art. This is amazing. I love this video. And don't forget, we're still
39:30raising money for Team Water. Every dollar, on average, gives one person one year of clean water.
