00:20Asong Pinoy meets Larong Pinoy sa isang event kahapon bisperas ng National Aspen Day.
00:26Nag-enjoy sila at kanilang fur parents sa paglaro ng tumbang preso, piko, luksong baka at pabitin.
00:34Taon-taon nga raw sumasali sa Aspen Day si Muffy.
00:37This year, big winner siya at kabilang sa kanyang napanalunan ay hotel overnight stay.
00:43Kanina, bida ulit si Muffy bilang news sa live painting ng Japanese pet portrait artist na si Hiro Ishikawa.
00:50Ang ngayon 12-year-old Aspen, puppy pa lang ng kup-kupin ng fur mom niyang si Quenny.

01:01Tapos dun po namin nakuha si Muffy as a puppy pa po.
01:05Ngayong araw, naka-exhibit ang mga pop-style painting ni Ishikawa na hango sa mga Aspen na nasa shelter ng Filipino Animal Welfare Society o POS.
01:14First time talaga kami nagkaroon ng full-blown art exhibit for the animals.
01:18And sabi ko nga it's a powerful combination art and the advocacy.
01:23I feel that this art will really put the spotlight on the plight of Aspens na hindi sila masyado na-adapt.
01:30They're not really treated as well or as good as the purebred dogs.
01:34Isang linggo tatagal ang exhibit na ang proceeds ay mapupunta sa POS Animal Shelter para sa mga Aspen.
01:41He wanted to give some of the earnings to the POS so that he could help a lot of animals inside the POS.
01:49After this event daw po, after this exhibition, nagbigay daw po ito ng lakas ng loob sa kanya.
01:54Nagkaroon din daw po siya ng confidence to do more charity works especially for the POS para magawa ito ng mas marami at makatulong pa po siya sa mas marami po.
02:04Ayon sa POS, mga Aspen pa rin ang halos lahat ng kaso ng animal abuse na napapaulat sa kanila.
02:11Pero sa mga nakalipas na taon, unti-unti na rin daw nababago ang pagtingin ng publiko sa mga asong Pinoy.
02:17We have to be proud of our own. We have to stop treating our native dogs as second-class citizens of our own country.
02:25That's why we put the National Aspen Day so close to Linggo ng Wika.
02:29For people who are interested in adopting a dog, I really, really advocate and recommend for them to check the shelters here in the Philippines,
02:39check with POS and all the other organizations who are working to save the Aspens.
02:45Kasi it's such a rewarding journey and a rewarding experience to be able to save a life.
02:52Kaya po, better po sana if we adopt instead of shopping for pets.
