00:00It's a bit of an unusual sight here at Monaval Golf Course, where a small aircraft has made
00:07an emergency landing at 2pm on Sunday.
00:10The two people on board, an instructor and a student, escaped with just minor injuries.
00:15They were taken to the Royal North Shore Hospital yesterday in a stable condition.
00:19As for the aircraft, it's been sitting here all morning, with locals walking their dog
00:23coming to see the crash site, and golfers going about on other parts of the course.
00:28We spoke with the owner of the Piper Cherokee, Simon Thomas, who rents the aircraft out
00:32to a training school.
00:34This is his first plane, but he's had it for less than a year, and he's glad it's insured.
00:38The right-hand side control column is bent, so I assume it was the instructor, and I think
00:42normally that would take over in emergency situations.
00:44Mr Thomas says the crash likely was caused by a partial engine failure, and so now it's
00:49unlikely that the Australian Transport Safety Bureau will be investigating the crash, as
00:53most people on board are not majorly injured.
00:56Overall, it's a fortunate outcome for what could have been a fatal incident.
01:00In my opinion, I think, for most people of all the work was forced to do.
01:05In my opinion, we were forced to get out of the crash.
01:05And we were forced to get out of the crash, so we can see the crasheller on the
01:08general health department.
01:09Meanwhile, they were forced to continue to wait for the crash.
01:11And we wondered, to be, are you able to get out of the crash?
01:13I believe you're not a complete landed-up, that has been the last konnte in the crash.
01:14And we were surprised when you looked at the crash of the crash.
01:17Well, we were going to have the crash of the crash У-190 chip, which was,
01:20huge, and the crash-190 chip0, so I believe you're calling out of the crash.
