Zelenskyy urges Europe to remain united against Russia's 'anti-European' war in Ukraine

Many European leaders are set to join Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his visit to the White House on Monday to meet with his US counterpart Donald Trump.

00:00Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky urged for European unity on Sunday as he warned of Russia's unwavering anti-European strategy.
00:08The Ukrainian leader made those comments in a joint press conference with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels on Sunday after a bilateral meeting.
00:17Zelensky says Russian President Vladimir Putin has to stop the killings in order for a real peace process to take place.
00:23Commenting on the Russian leader's demands to end the war following his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in Alaska on Friday, Zelensky said, quote,
00:33Putin has many demands, we don't know all of them.
00:36Zelensky added that it will take time to go through Putin's demands, suggesting that a pause in fighting on the current front lines is necessary for negotiations to advance.
00:45Von der Leyen further cemented Europe's commitment to Ukraine's peace and stability.
00:49The Commission President stressed that international borders cannot be changed by force and pledged continued EU support to Kyiv for as long as it takes.
00:58It comes on the eve of Zelensky's trip to Washington, where he will be meeting with Trump in the White House.
01:03Von der Leyen and a slew of other European leaders, including Georgia Maloney, Emmanuel Macron, Friedrich Mertz and Keir Starmer,
01:11will be accompanying Zelensky at the Ukrainian leader's request.
01:14After the meeting, Zelensky and von der Leyen connected on a call with Macron, Starmer and Mertz for a virtual meeting of the Coalition of the Willing.
