Girl plays with a pigeon that stays by her side for 40 minutes

This little girl took the phrase 'bird buddy' to a whole new level as she bonded with a pigeon that seemed to be auditioning for the role of a feathery playmate.

With every tiny step she took, the pigeon responded with a fluttery jog.

For a straight 40 minutes, the pigeon kept running ahead.

Just as things were getting serious, the pigeon decided to ghost her.

It flew off with the same mystery it arrived with.
