00:00January 29th, 2019, police were called to an incident.

00:05They see an actor called Jussie Smollett with a noose around his neck.

00:09He says that he was the victim of a hate crime.

00:12To think that I had two white guys attack a black man in this city was disgusting to me.

00:19This was a racially motivated incident involving a celebrity.

00:23I knew this was going to be huge.

00:25You could not turn on the TV. You could not turn on the radio.

00:28It literally was everywhere.

00:30I thought it was a horrible crime at first until it started to fall apart.

00:36Jussie was still being treated as the victim, but the narrative out there was shifting.

00:41Some things kind of struck me as a little odd.

00:44It does not fit with Jussie's account of what occurred.

00:47We were going through the polar vortex at the time.

00:49Who is out in the street with it being cold out there?

00:53The fact that they weren't buying his story was like, wow.
