Flash floods in India and Pakistan kill over 280 people, scores remain missing

Flash floods triggered by torrential rains killed over 280 people in India and Pakistan. Rescuers continued their search for 80 missing in a Himalayan village and evacuated hundreds across the region.

00:01Devastating flash floods from intense monsoon rains have killed at least 280 people
00:06across northwestern Pakistan and northern India.
00:11In Pakistan's northwest, a state of emergency was declared in the hard-hit Bonar district
00:16while a relief helicopter crashed on Friday, killing five.
00:21Rescue efforts continued as 1,300 tourists who were trapped by landslides in the Mansehra district were evacuated.
00:30Across the border, in Indian administrative cashmere, a cloudburst devastated a remote Hindu pilgrimage site.
00:36There, at least 60 people were killed and 80 remained missing after floodwaters swept through the area.
00:43The annual pilgrimage has now been suspended by authorities.
