explaining his amendment. Thank you Mr. Chair. The chair and I have had an

opportunity to speak concerning my amendment. I want to commend the chair on

his work on acquisition reform of which I support. The chair is aware that this

amendment comes out of my concern of the provisions of section 1601 and the

potential impacts on specifically the career path requirements. This

amendment would have required an assessment of the Space Force talent

management impacts specifically on acquisition career path

requirements. I'm concerned about the personnel effects of the prescriptive

portions of that section. Also concerned about the effects on current careers of

those in the Space Force. We've not had a hearing on this matter and

discussing it with the chair. We're I appreciate his interest in ensuring that

we continue to monitor the potential effects of these provisions recognizing

that this is not in the Senate version that this will go through conference

whatever provisions do come out we'll have to work in monitoring the effects and

working with DOD and the Space Force and ensuring that we are concerned of

course with with the effects going forward. But with the conversation I

appreciate the the chairman's efforts to work toward acquisition reform and

balancing those and my respect for the chairman I withdraw my amendment. Thank
