00:04On Wednesday into Thursday in Perth it was nearly 10 degrees difference as a strong cold front went through.
00:11We've dealt with that now and we're pushing it over to the east.
00:14All of this speckled cloud that is here over the by it indicates just how cold that air is.
00:19It's air that is coming up from near Antarctica.
00:21That is now an east coast problem and we are sitting high and dry with a high pressure system moving in.
00:27In fact it's quite clear out there during the day on Friday.
00:30Let's have a look at that in action day by day.
00:33So here's Friday high pressure extending a ridge right over us.
00:36So we've got calmer winds.
00:38We've got the easterlies that come in through there but calmer winds than what we saw and no big temperature fluctuations.
00:43So there we have Friday into Saturday.
00:45High pressure is now sitting in through here into Sunday.
00:48Maybe seeing a hint of activity coming in from one of the weather models as the high pressure system now sits over the by it here.
00:54All of the action across the weekend is over in the eastern parts of the country.
00:58We are looking quite good.
01:00Heading into Monday.
01:01That's when it really changes.
01:02We've got a weak system coming in through here but into Tuesday is when that enhances.
01:07A feed of tropical moisture coming in from the Indian Ocean plus all of this instability coming in.
01:13That adds up to wet weather.
01:1425 to 50 millimetres all through this part here even in the yellow areas.
01:1915 to 25 and that tapers off as you head inland as you would expect it to do.
01:24But a nice feed of moisture.
01:25Let's watch what that's going to do for Wednesday.
01:28Extending right inland right up into these parts here right across the wheat belt all the way through to the far eastern parts there.
01:36So that's a big system that comes through on Tuesday into Wednesday.
01:39Lovely feed of moisture.
01:41We've got that instability.
01:42So yes that means another big burst of weather as it comes in.
01:45So Tuesday into Wednesday.
01:47By Thursday there isn't much left in the southwest.
01:50Just another little push coming in.
01:52But watch how far inland this one actually moves.

01:57A little bit more in through there.
01:58This still coming in.

02:01Extending all the way here to Port Hedland.
02:03Right through across to the eastern parts.
02:05So this is a large area of Western Australia that is seeing some wet weather from this one.
02:09Not on the weekend but as you go through next week.
02:12Now most of the action in the southwest is as we move through that Tuesday, Wednesday part here.
02:1825 to 50, 50 to 75 in total.
02:21Even right through into here 15 to 25 millimetres.
02:2410 to 15 as you head right in.
02:26So let's just zoom right in so you can see where that is extending inland.
02:30By Kalgoorlie it is 5 to 10 millimetres.
02:32And extending right up here to Geraldton and beyond.
02:35So some nice falls from that one there.

02:55And then we get that next wet weather arriving in the evening.

03:16So that's the big part as it moves on through.
03:19And then just possible showers as we go into next Thursday.
