00:00I had a just discovered that that echo plex that when you play it goes the tape goes round but once
00:26it goes around after a certain amount of time you can add another guitar to it and then you can add
00:33another guitar to it and wow that was that was amazing I just made up a chord progression
00:55and then I played the loop goes around harmony and so on and and I went like wow this is great you
01:12know it sounded so good
01:13I recorded it on this cheap you know tape recorder I had and on the way to Christmas with Phil and the
01:35others I remember undercon at the undercon station on the on the escalator I switch it on listen to
01:43this oh that sounds great hey Michael can we meet somewhere you know can we meet and so and so Phil
01:53came over to my place I just moved in there basically and he came into my place and I remember
01:59like you know I had the table here Phil sitting over there I'm sitting over here so he wanted me to
02:05figure you know play the chords without the guitar so that he had something to to figure out the melody
02:12for his vocals and stuff like that and so that's what I did and then he took it home and and then
02:19basically we have done that with quite a few songs in general you know that was kind of our I would come
02:25try me was done exactly the same way I wrote an instrumental and it ended up so so good that that
02:32Phil wanted to take out the instrumental and just let him hear the chords and see what he can come up
02:38with and he would come up with something really good and then we just started him singing over the
02:43same chords until we got you know after two verses and courses we inserted the the instrumental part of
02:52the song
02:54I'm on the road so far away from you and you and you, baby.
03:01I'm on the road so far away from you.
03:12Oh, yeah, baby.
03:14You know, to be honest, Dr. Doctor, I'm not really sure how well people took that song in the beginning.
03:30And I didn't focus on it either.
03:32I mean, you know, we were playing gigs.
03:35I wasn't there for Dr. Doctor.
03:37I was there because I enjoyed, you know, playing and playing lead guitar and so on.
03:42And, you know, it took about 10 years before Dr. Doctor did anything, really,
03:49because I think once it made it on the live album, I think that's when it took off.
04:12I don't know.
