00:00Previously on Project Runway, I'm back!
00:07I'm having a slight flashback because in my other season,
00:12it was also a team challenge, and I'm having a little PTSD.
00:16What's happening? I already need a martini. All right.
00:19In season 19, I left on episode one,
00:22but I'm very confident about what I made for this challenge.
00:26Literally, like, my intern could sew that in 30 minutes.
00:29I'm a Gemini. I take critiques very like,
00:31don't tell me what to do.
00:33That was the one that I'm using.
00:34Okay, well, I can use it too.
00:36BJ is in her own bubble.
00:39She's very standoffish.
00:40Which part of my start?
00:42This is my best-in-law.
00:43Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.
00:45She's what we call in the business.
00:47A .
00:49Congratulations, Ethan.
00:51You're the winner of this challenge.
00:53Shut up!
00:54Casey, Joseph, and Antonio.
00:57You had the three bottom looks.
00:58Am I being punk?
01:00Ooh.
01:01Oh, he's spicy.
01:02I don't think there's any reason to be defensive.
01:04No, I'm not being defensive at all.
01:05Casey, it's very lackluster.
01:08And what you then wrapped around to me looks like an afterthought.
01:11Do we sit home with a bad dress or the bad attitude?
01:14Just very emotional.
01:16I can't believe this is happening again.
01:18You're so mean.
01:19I'm gonna know.
01:20Why am I here?
01:21I want to go home.
01:26A stake for the winner is $200,000, a spread in Elle magazine, and a life-changing mentorship
01:33with the CFDA.
01:34I can't believe it could happen again.
01:36It just feels like a bad joke.
01:37I can't go home.
01:38Like, I didn't get to show who I was as a designer.
01:41Let's prove to them that we'd make it to the end.
01:45My brother and I are supposed to make it to the end together.
02:11I can't believe I'm in the bottom.
02:13I might be going home.
02:15We're ready?
02:26Casey, Antonio, Joseph, we've made our decision.
02:38Joseph, you're safe.
02:42You can leave the runway.
02:45Thank you, Joseph.
02:52Casey, you had the most beautiful fabric, but it was evident you had unresolved design
02:59problems.
03:01Antonio, I actually thought that your dress was really sweet, but your attitude was despicable.
03:08hmm Casey Antonio one of you will be in and one of you will be out Antonio
03:23you're in you can leave the runway I'll work about it ah Casey I'm so sorry but that means you're out
03:50yes oh my god you're so sweet I'm so grateful to met you thank you I'm like beyond shocked to be
04:09eliminated for this block Casey yes I know it's rough going on the first it's hard but you're so
04:15talented that's why you're here that's why you came back right think about hold that thank you
04:19I'm gonna send you the workroom clean up your space say goodbye to everybody okay okay and good
04:24luck it feels harsh to leave at this stage of the competition again I definitely feel like I wish
04:29I could have shown more but I still am really proud of it project runway is an experience I
04:35will never forget and I'm probably finished with as of now all right come back sit around we're not done
04:50oh my god Christian I don't know how much we can take today competition is very real now you just saw
04:57it Casey walked out the door goes quick Ethan congratulations thank you so much I have
05:06something extra for you oh my jeez oh what do you got mama because you guys are gonna continue to work in
05:15houses a little longer as a winning designer in the next challenge you're gonna have an opportunity to
05:23swap a designer from a house
05:25oh Christian Siriano really came in and was like let me just drop a rock into this pond think on it
05:36like Heidi said new house new rules okay you'll decide at the next challenge the houses aren't over yet
05:45get ready for it bring it on I think I know what I'm gonna do things about to get spicy
05:52hey guys guys listen to this here's a gift put these on and meet me in the workroom
06:13my strategy about this switch is I really
06:43I really want to make sure I'm making the best decision for me so do I get rid of Jesus the
06:49boisterous one all I have to do is prove him wrong or VJ that is hard to work with how's it going diva
06:57all right come on get zen get comfortable get on your mat I don't know any yoga poses does anybody know yoga poses okay come show me yoga is not my thing I'm the type of person that gets really bored in
07:27so this is something yes my workout is walking to that coffee shop and then enjoy people watching that's a workout
07:48I think I am going to do a swap.
07:51A swap.
07:53Uh-oh.
07:54If Ethan is smart enough, he's going to keep me
07:57because he knows what I'm capable of doing
07:59and he knows I'm a strong designer.
08:01I think he should get rid of Vijay
08:03because she has not been a team player
08:05and bring over Antonio.
08:07The pressure.
08:08The pressure is getting wussaps.
08:10Yes.
08:12So I am going to swap.
08:14Jesus with Madeline.
08:20Jesus and Madeline.
08:24Wow.
08:25You messed up, honey.
08:27I hope you don't regret your decision.
08:29I have full confidence that you're going to kill it.
08:31And I really want to see this dynamic happen
08:33because y'all have been claiming
08:35that y'all are a powerhouse together.
08:37And I want to say that y'all are a powerhouse together.
08:40And I want to say,
08:41well, get ready.
08:46They are all talk.
08:48They run a store together,
08:49but I'd love to see this store close, baby.
08:53All right.
08:54For this challenge,
08:55each house must create a cohesive
08:58activewear capsule collection
09:01where the collection goes from workout
09:03to the weekend
09:04with one of the hottest activewear companies,
09:07Kalia.
09:08So to give you guys some more insight into Kalia,
09:14we have a special guest,
09:16Vice President and Head Designer for Kalia,
09:19Alicia Scott.
09:25Hi guys.
09:26So good to meet all of you.
09:28We created Kalia about 10 years ago
09:30and really wanted to form a brand
09:32that is the perfect juxtaposition of fashion
09:36and femininity and function.
09:38And I love how you guys have all styled
09:39all your pieces you got today.
09:41Our entire collection is rooted in performance.
09:44If you're designing a look for Pilates or run,
09:47it needs to be able to function.
09:49We believe there's beauty in the burn.
09:51How's it going to work whenever she is doing a downward dog?
09:54Make sure that when you're designing a piece,
09:56it can be used for working out,
09:59going to grab coffee,
10:00going out to grab cocktails with your friends.
10:02It needs to be versatile.
10:04So not only has Kalia provided look books,
10:07they've also provided all the fabrications
10:10for the challenge.
10:11Okay.
10:12That's not all.
10:13Kalia is going to produce and sell
10:17the winning look from the winning collection.
10:20That would be so cool to have a Joseph McCray
10:24and Kalia produced.
10:25Like, I feel like it would eat down.
10:27I love the idea of this, like, beauty in the burn.
10:30So what if we have, like, fire on the runway?
10:33Ooh.
10:34Like, actual fire.
10:36So you'll have all of today and part of tomorrow
10:40to create your fire-worthy collections.
10:43Don't you love a one-day challenge?
10:45Yes.
10:46One day to do this,
10:48as if there weren't enough stress already.
10:50The burn of it all.
10:51Bye.
10:53Bye.
10:54Bye.
10:56Ethan, you want to see what it's like
11:00when you put Antonio and I together?
11:02It's going to be game on,
11:04and it's going to push me to even do better to beat him,
11:08and then he's going to realize that he up.
11:12Girl, whatever.
11:14What's our team?
11:19Team...
11:20Wow.
11:21Team winner.
11:22Team winner, that's a good one.
11:23Team winning.
11:24No.
11:25It has something to do with fire.
11:27Team burn.
11:29I guess it's final answer.
11:31I'm glad I put together a strong team.
11:33I really wanted to equalize the energy of our group
11:36by putting all of the boisterous energies on one team.
11:40One day one.
11:41One day eight.
11:42One day eight.
11:43I bet you're first.
11:44I'm actually very happy that Ethan let go Jesus,
11:49because I don't want another drama.
11:52That was the one that I'm using.
11:53Like, which one?
11:54Okay, well, I can use it too.
11:55And it could be hot to do the lines
11:59in the pop-up wrap.
12:00That's what I was thinking.
12:01So we'll all have the lines incorporated.
12:03Yes.
12:04Okay.
12:05Okay, guys, we need to start the carving fabrics.
12:08I just want to be cohesive.
12:10I do like this color story situation going on over here.
12:13But we got to pick a group of fabrics
12:15and all go with it, you guys.
12:16Y'all go with it.
12:17We decided to call our team the House of Lotus
12:19because we wanted to feel the zen within the berm.
12:22And so coming off the last challenge, being in the bottom,
12:26our stickler was our cohesion.
12:29So as we're going through these fabrics
12:31that Kalia provided us,
12:33we're really paying attention to what color palette we want to do
12:36so that we really nail that cohesion this time.
12:39Because if we miss it two times in a row,
12:41we're going to be done for.
12:42I love this fabric.
12:44I was trying to get the colors out of this.
12:47This has all your colors.
12:50Once again, Antonio is choosing the fabric
12:53and I'm getting a little anxious
12:55because last time he chose fabric,
12:58we were in the bottom.
13:00Can y'all roll the tape back?
13:01The fabric that I brought from home is in pink.
13:04So let's have the inspiration of our collection be butterflies.
13:07That's the best one out of all of them.
13:09I think we should go with that.
13:10I don't like that.
13:11No?
13:12Mm-mm.
13:13You like this better?
13:14I mean, I like this.
13:15I don't like that either, but I mean...
13:17That's what I wanted to start with.
13:18Miss Joan, I want to know...
13:19It is what it is.
13:20Oh, is the drama already beginning?
13:23You know, working with the twins, you know,
13:25they're a whole vibe,
13:26but our looks have to be cohesive.
13:29I love Miss Joan,
13:31but she's a little, little old school
13:33and stuck in the back in the days.
13:35This fabric is so cool.
13:36It's just more young.
13:37I'll make it work.
13:43Don't use the fabric scissors, you nincompoop.
13:46I love Alex.
13:47I didn't expect this competition to become so connective so quickly.
13:52And me and Alex bonded so quickly.
13:54It's so soft.
13:55It's so cozy.
13:56Like, she's gonna be in it and be like, wow.
13:57I want it.
13:58I want it.
13:59I'm making a lounge sweatsuit with a corset bustier top.
14:04It all sprouted from trying to use the aspects of a kimono.
14:09I grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, but my Nana was a tailor from Nagasaki, Japan.
14:16So I find a lot of inspiration in what the Japanese call intangible cultural treasures.
14:24But my mama would say that I don't bring enough of the South with me.
14:28How are you feeling this week?
14:32Feeling great.
14:33It looks really cool.
14:34Thank you so much.
14:35I appreciate that.
14:36You are absolutely looking at the next winner of Project Runway.
14:41My design aesthetic is a combination of street wear and elegance.
14:46I want to win Project Runway for my daughter, Ava.
14:49It's right here.
14:50Having her change me as a person, it gave me so much more drive.
14:54And I do this all for her.
14:56So I have to make this stand out and hopefully wild the judges.
15:04Madeline, what informs your work?
15:06I'm trying to always like see things that I like about vintage fashion, but then giving it like my own little twist.
15:15What about yourself?
15:17I grew up in like a hoedunk farm town.
15:19I just felt inherently so different from the rest of my family.
15:23The only thing I could really do was, you know, rely on my own creativity and imagination to kind of distract me from, you know, feeling like it belonged there.
15:33Did they accept you as you are?
15:35You know, when I finally did come out, they were like, we don't get it yet, but we just don't want to lose you.
15:43So we're going to try to figure this out.
15:45I feel really blessed to be able to have my family in my life.
15:50So it makes me want to really push myself to win this for them.
15:56Hello, how's the team going?
16:02I do think the silhouette of this skirt, you still have to figure out.
16:08Oh, Lord, this might send me home.
16:10I am a technical designer and I am a serious workaholic.
16:17My family is Jamaican and I've always been raised with all the elders around me doing multiple things.
16:23Even if it's not their job, they're going to figure out how to do it that day and do it.
16:27So I have to push myself because this workout weekend challenge is taking me out of my comfort zone.
16:33I really wanted to do something that was extremely comfortable.
16:37I think it feels a little too demure.
16:40I think I made the right decision.
16:43I was the one who fought to use this print because Mrs. Joan didn't like it.
16:47She still doesn't like it.
16:48Okay, so you did it again.
16:50You wanted a print again.
16:52Everybody wants this print?
16:56Groundbreaking, this circle skirt.
16:59Yeah.
17:00Mm-hmm.
17:01I can cut a circle out right now and do this in 10 minutes.
17:03Really?
17:04Yeah.
17:05We're kind of not the exact same look from the last challenge.
17:10Mm-hmm.
17:11You're making a jacket and a skirt?
17:13A jacket and a skirt.
17:16Let me tell you a little something about Christian Seriano.
17:19Christian will come in the workroom like,
17:21mm, are you sure about that?
17:24Or he be walking around like, mm, okay.
17:27That little face be killing me with them glasses and that hair perfectly swapped into the side.
17:32The top being fabulous is very important here.
17:35We should develop this more because you already know you can make a cool jacket.
17:39I'm going to listen to Christian because I know I'm taking a risk, but I do not want to be in the bottom again.
17:44You got a lot to do.
17:45I got you.
17:46Okay.
17:47Let's get it.
17:48I'm kind of going for like that modern with a little bit of Tron.
17:53This sash doesn't do anything.
17:55She couldn't do any athletic things with this hanging.
17:59Mm.
18:00Look at me go.
18:01What are all these lines on this?
18:03So I kind of want to achieve this kind of like texture.
18:07All of these lines you're going to weave.
18:09The inspiration for this design is the Kalia logo.
18:13It's like a twisted string.
18:15It's like very dynamic.
18:17What are you doing?
18:19It's going to be like a more like athletic, fancy corset bustier kind of thing.
18:27This makes no sense for an athletic look.
18:32That scares me.
18:33Athleisure specifically is not something that I normally do.
18:37Unfortunately, time is not on our side in this competition.
18:42Christian has his doubts about this corset, but we're sticking to our guns.
18:47Hmm.
18:48What are you doing?
18:49I am doing an oversized hoodie, which I'm thinking about cropping.
18:54I did the pin tuck in my hand.
18:56Mm-hmm.
18:57It's going to have the same pin tuck in all over the pants as well.
19:00Oh.
19:01So you're also doing a sweat.
19:04Oversized sweat pants.
19:05Oversized sweat pants in the same fabric.
19:08Is the pant wide like that wide?
19:10It's a wide.
19:11You haven't even looked at each other's stuff and she's right in front of you.
19:15Honestly, I really don't know much about what my team is doing.
19:19This is it.
19:20Yes.
19:21Looks very similar.
19:22Having looked at the other designers on my team, I've just been too focused.
19:25So we just have a wide pant off on the runway in the same fabric.
19:31What the ?
19:32Like, what am I going to do next?
19:34I need to think fast and pivot into some other different silhouette.
19:37If I don't succeed, I'm worried it might put me on the bottom.
19:41So I'm looking at Team Lotus and it does not fit the brief that we got.
19:51What's going on underneath?
19:52So it's going to be the pop-up.
19:53So we both have mesh.
19:54Their looks are looking a little all over the place.
19:57I think that we're going to take this one home.
19:59I look at the other team.
20:01It's like crickets in that side of the room.
20:03No one's really talking to each other.
20:05And here we are like, you know, blah, blah, blah.
20:07And then at night, she just puts a glove on honey.
20:11Okay, this, do this.
20:12Like, we're helping each other.
20:13Yes.
20:14Yes.
20:15Ethan, I hate to tell you, but you will be the losing team.
20:19Are you ready?
20:20Let's go.
20:21Models, let's go.
20:22Woo!
20:23This very cool jacket with a pleated skirt.
20:34That's the top?
20:35I think so.
20:36So how does one do anything athletic in that top?
20:41Sean.
20:44I think I'm over here eating it up and it's just like, yeah, no.
20:48Are we playing tennis where you tie your arms up?
20:52If I don't come through with this bra, like, I feel like the whole look is going to go kaput.
20:58So different when I design on paper and design on you.
21:01You trend's pleated skirt.
21:03It's really short.
21:04I thought it was a mistake, but it's not a mistake.
21:09Because mama, I'm a slut.
21:11You decided?
21:13Yeah, I'm going to do some nice shorts and then the cargo pockets.
21:17That shoe, are you nuts?
21:20What kind of shoe?
21:21Blah.
21:22Whoa, what?
21:23Now you're buying something.
21:25That tic-tac shoe.
21:27You have no side seam.
21:30Mm-mm.
21:31There's no side seam.
21:32Interesting.
21:33You can do that.
21:35Look at her butt.
21:37That's crazy.
21:38These pants are styled after a Japanese hakama pant where there aren't really side seams and all of the volume is put into pleats across the back.
21:49Since we're paying homage to my Japanese ancestress, it's really important for me to nail this look that I make. And I am feeling the pressure.
21:59Bye models.
22:00Thank you so much.
22:01Hello?
22:02Oh, I have to take this.
22:03Sorry.
22:04You're going to be laughing when that little hem falls out.
22:06I'm going to tear it up.
22:07I'm feeling really good about my look.
22:08But what if your team doesn't?
22:09But after the model fitting, I'm feeling a little worried about my team.
22:10Alex has these grand ideas, but she is running out of time. And Angelo's work is looking a little simple. If Jesus kills it, then I lost a valuable player. I hope that I made the right decision.
22:19Guys, our muses are here.
22:20Look at this.
22:21All right, designers, send your models to the Ulta beauty salon.
22:26We got three hours to finish up these looks and send them to the Ulta beauty salon.
22:29I'm feeling a little worried about my team.
22:30I'm feeling a little worried about my team.
22:32Alex has these grand ideas, but she is running out of time.
22:35And Angelo's work is looking a little simple.
22:37If Jesus kills it, then I lost a valuable player.
22:40I hope that I made the right decision.
22:42Guys, our muses are here.
22:43Look at this.
22:44All right, designers, send your models to the Ulta beauty salon.
22:47We're here to finish up these looks and send these girls down the runway.
22:50It's crunch time.
22:51Glowy, dewy kind of thing.
22:53I love it.
22:54Maybe something that's been like smudged a little bit.
22:56That's it right there.
22:57Bye.
22:58Bye, everybody.
22:59Have fun.
23:00Until next time.
23:01Is there a leader this time?
23:04No, because I think we don't want to have a leader technically because we don't want to blame someone.
23:10The last team challenge, I think Jesus was acting as the leader because he talked a lot.
23:17But this time, we don't have a leader, so it's a mess.
23:21All right, five minutes, you guys.
23:23Five minutes.
23:24We're leaving this room.
23:25That's the back of the pant?
23:27Mm-hmm.
23:28Okay.
23:29Well, I know I ain't in the pant.
23:32I'm worried about Alex.
23:34She's looking not finished.
23:36Mm-mm-mm.
23:37Child.
23:38I mean, I got what?
23:39How many minutes?
23:40I am really concerned with how the top is turning out and the cut of the pant.
23:45Are there pockets?
23:46No.
23:47No.
23:48All right.
23:49But there's no more time and nothing else to do about it.
23:53All right, designers.
23:54That's it.
23:55That's time.
23:56Hello, designers.
23:57Welcome to The Runway.
23:58As you know, in fashion, one day you're in and the next day you're out.
24:02For this challenge, we ask you to create a cohesive activewear collection for Calia that goes from workout to weekend.
24:17You worked in teams and you had only one day to create your collection.
24:21All right, let's meet our judges.
24:23CFDA award-winning stylist and image architect, La Roche.
24:27Editor-in-chief of Elle magazine, Nina Garcia.
24:34And our guest judge and co-owner of the fashion line favorite daughter, Sarah Foster.
24:41I'm so excited to see Miss Sarah Foster.
24:44She has a really good head on her shoulders around how to make a woman feel beautiful and comfortable in the clothes.
24:49She's gorgeous.
24:50Okay, we're ready.
24:51Let's start the show.
24:52It's going to be flaming hot.
24:55I wish I had a marshmallow.
24:57This got flammable hair now.
24:59Wait a minute.
25:00I told you it was going to be hot and I was not talking about Hans and Franz.
25:02I do feel like I have successfully captured the essence of this challenge with creating something that goes from workout to weekend.
25:22With the pin tucking, the silhouette, the styling is really good.
25:26I'm feeling really confident.
25:28She's a professional.
25:29You know, you know.
25:31Look at us now.
25:33I'm very proud of this look.
25:35My look looks very modern, sexy, and fun.
25:38And the red line on the jacket is everything.
25:41That is a short skirt, but she's got some good legs.
25:45Look at us now.
25:46Oh!
25:47Baby or not, here I come.
25:50I'm just looking at the outfit.
25:52It's not as bad as I expected it to be, but I know what's going on on the inside.
26:00This messy, messy.
26:03I'm not happy about it.
26:05It could have been worse.
26:06It could have also been better.
26:08I like that.
26:09I would wear that.
26:10You're very generous.
26:11Oh, no.
26:16With my athleisure look, I'm feeling pretty satisfied.
26:19I like it.
26:20I think it's cute.
26:21It's nothing, like, really shocking.
26:24But I am just elated that the athleisure challenge is in the past.
26:28She's got it.
26:34She looks amazing.
26:35I've worked hard to achieve that details, that those string woven by hand.
26:41I cut all those holes individually.
26:43It takes a lot of work to create that textile.
26:45I want to make sure that every piece that I make is a labor of love.
26:50I don't get that curly hair with that.
26:55With that side fin, it's flowing down the runway.
26:58It's got movement.
26:59Oh, it looks so good.
27:01I would wear that now.
27:02I may have slayed a little bit too hard this week.
27:03So I'm hoping that it can pull this team through to the wind.
27:08This look, it's very universal.
27:13This girl can do Pilates and then put some heels on, put a jacket on, and go have a cocktail
27:19with the girl just at night.
27:20I'm proud of myself.
27:21It would mean a lot to win this challenge and have that collab with Leah.
27:36I'm happy with how this look turned out.
27:38I feel like it's me.
27:39And I'm starting to be more confident in what I'm designing and believe whatever I'm creating
27:44is good.
27:45I see my look coming down the runway and I'm thinking, okay, yes.
27:54Even though I didn't choose this fabric, I was able to be a team player.
27:59And I think that she looks fabulous.
28:01I love the drama.
28:05I nailed it.
28:06Oh, my God.
28:08Let's go.
28:14Well, we know who that is.
28:18My model is looking so everything.
28:21And then she unzipsed this jacket.
28:23And it's just like, oh, welcome to the party.
28:26Bring out the tata.
28:28I took a risk with almost recreating my previous look.
28:32And I hope this paid off.
28:39That's my girl.
28:40Wow.
28:41Like, I'm just literally getting chills.
28:43The way she's walking, the way that the pants are moving, how powerful she looks.
28:48I'm feeling great.
28:50I could definitely see this in stores and see a lot of people wanting these pants, wanting
28:54this bomber, even the bag.
28:56I love this.
28:57Our team, everything was executed beautifully.
29:00And I think that that showed on the runway.
29:02We did go good.
29:03We did it.
29:04I am not worried about myself.
29:06But it's hard to tell.
29:08You know, it's two different vibes.
29:10So I hope that the switch doesn't come back to bite me in the butt.
29:17Hello, hello, hello.
29:19Bravo.
29:20That was a show worthy of fire.
29:23Congrats to all of you.
29:24We have scored your designs.
29:26In one house, ran circles around the other.
29:29Antonio, Joan.
29:30Yes.
29:31Joseph.
29:32Jesus.
29:33And Belania.
29:34You are the winning house.
29:35What?
29:36Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
29:37I think that's it.
29:38I told you.
29:39Alex, Angelo, Madeline, Eugene, Vijay, and Ethan.
29:44You are our least favorite collection.
29:56Damn.
29:57We're going to talk to you later, and you can leave the runway.
29:58Damn it.
30:01My squad being in the bottom, it's unfortunate.
30:04I don't know what happened.
30:07My squad being in the bottom, it's unfortunate.
30:10I don't know what happened.
30:14I don't get it.
30:15We just clearly took two different directions team-wise.
30:20Chips fall where they may, right?
30:22This challenge meant a lot to me.
30:24I just got in my head.
30:27I just hope that I get to stay.
30:32Congratulations.
30:33What we really liked about your collection is that there was a cohesion.
30:36Thank you so much.
30:38All right, we would like to talk to the designers that were our three favorite looks.
30:42And that is you, Joseph.
30:44Olania.
30:45Yeah.
30:46And you, Jesus.
30:49So that means Joan.
30:50Yes.
30:51And Antonio.
30:52You're safe.
30:53But I do have to tell you, Antonio, we all thought that yours was our least favorite in the winning team.
31:03Thank you so much.
31:04You can leave the runway.
31:05Nice meeting you guys.
31:06Bye.
31:06My brother's in the top again for the second week.
31:09I thought my look was really good.
31:10I want to be on top.
31:11It sucks.
31:13So I am just ready to prove these judges wrong.
31:16All right.
31:16Let's bring out your models.
31:19Come on, girls.
31:22Yes.
31:22What's up?
31:22How we did it?
31:24We're going to start with the designer where we didn't have to guess a whole lot who made it.
31:29And that is Joseph.
31:29Without a doubt, when we saw her walk down the runway, we knew it was you.
31:34And I think she could actually work out in this because of her little shorts under.
31:37And she could throw on a pump or a heel and go straight to the weekend, which that was the challenge.
31:46Thank you so much.
31:47I would wear that jacket to the gym, but then I'd also wear it to dinner that night with a pair of jeans.
31:52And I'm into you.
31:53I don't know how else I can say it.
31:55I mean, I was into all of it.
31:56I like your look, too.
31:57I like her vibe.
31:58It stands out.
31:59It's memorable.
32:00To me, she's badass and flirty at the same time.
32:04Thank you, Joseph.
32:05Thank you so much, everyone.
32:07All right.
32:07Belania, you're next.
32:08Oh, Lauren.
32:09I really love the work that you did on this top.
32:13I think it's really beautiful.
32:14I love all the detail that you made with the pockets, correct?
32:21And I love the fact that you considered an option.
32:25She can be reserved with the turtleneck, and she can be super sexy without it.
32:30Yep.
32:30I mean, I like that fabric, as you can see.
32:32The detail of the skirt is really cool, and it's a flattering waistband.
32:38Waistbands can go very unflattering very easily.
32:43Whatever it is, I like it.
32:45All right.
32:46That leaves us with Jesus.
32:47Jesus, I have to say this.
32:49You have done something that a lot of people cannot do, and that is to shut me up.
32:57Wow.
32:57I was so tough on you on the runway, and you were in the winning group, and I was still
33:02tough on you on the runway.
33:03I actually hated your look.
33:05She doesn't look cool.
33:06She doesn't look young.
33:07I think this is so versatile.
33:09I think that a girl could really work out with this.
33:12Yeah, work out with it, and then wear it out on the weekend.
33:16I would wear those pants in a heartbeat.
33:18The pant turns into a straight-leg pant.
33:21She could wear it like this.
33:22I mean, she could open it up a little.
33:24Well done on that.
33:25It's great.
33:26Fabulous.
33:27Chic and effortless.
33:29What I also love is the detail.
33:32The fact that you thought about the zipper on the side.
33:35Can you turn around?
33:37And that little pocket with that little black detail.
33:42Those details all matter.
33:43Yeah.
33:44Right?
33:44Yeah.
33:44Thank you, Nina.
33:45I want to be this girl that would wear this.
33:47Thank you so much.
33:49But now is the moment of truth.
33:50They can only be one winner.
33:57And Jesus, it's you.
33:59You were our favorite look.
34:00Congratulations.
34:01Oh, he's crying.
34:03Don't be hiding those tears.
34:04I want to see them.
34:07Those are tears of joy.
34:09Yeah.
34:10Not only are you the winner.
34:12It's crazy.
34:13But that also means that Kalia will also produce and sell your look.
34:17And I'm going to buy it.
34:18Me too.
34:19I love it.
34:20Congratulations.
34:20We're all going to wear it.
34:22Wow.
34:23Thank you guys so much.
34:24All right.
34:25You can leave the runway.
34:27Oh, my gosh.
34:27We did it.
34:28Ethan, you got rid of me.
34:30And I prove you wrong.
34:32I truly believe that if I would have stayed in his team,
34:35we would have won again.
34:37I won.
34:41When I came on Project Runway 15 years ago,
34:44I was so young.
34:46I wasn't really out of the closet at that time.
34:48And I didn't know who I was as a designer.
34:51And now coming back, I am a loud, gay, queer boy.
34:55So to win the challenge and do this collab with Kalia,
34:58it just reassured my purpose of why I'm here,
35:01to create really amazing stuff and to be on top.
35:03I don't know who I was.
35:05I don't know who I was.
35:07I don't know who I was.
35:09Unfortunately, you were our least favorite collection.
35:14Ethan, your team, you.
35:16unfortunately you were our least favorite collection ethan your team you
35:30ethan tell us why do you think you guys are up here yeah i i i think it's i think we did a great
35:36job i think you did a great job you had my favorite piece i agree so modern thank you do
35:45you regret switching one person out i i don't want to say i shot myself in the foot because i love
35:52our team i don't believe you i think you knew that you had a great look and you didn't give a
35:58about the other people on the team damn all right alex angelo and bj you are our least favorite looks
36:08that means hugin ethan and madeline you're safe you can leave the runway thank you
36:19all right bj let's start with you let's start with the positives because there is a positive here the
36:24silhouette i think is nice i like the length i like that it's not a midi and it's not a mini i think
36:28that's versatile a lot of people can wear that it's just really that's that's all i liked about it
36:33you guys like the ties hey i love dangling i think it kind of looks like a tampon i think oh
36:40i mean this is this is unwearable i also don't understand this girl i think the work that you've
36:45done i think it's quite beautiful but it doesn't scream active wear to me at all like i don't get
36:50it that's the problem that's the problem yeah you needed to make this a top a pair of black leggings
36:58and call it a day and you would have had a hit this didn't need to be a cocktail dress out of
37:04context all right angelo let's hear about your look um i designed men's streetwear so i just wanted
37:11to stay true to myself i think where you have to be careful angelo is that it felt to me a little safe
37:20and boring you really need to bring in a sense of drama step it up listen i'm a basic
37:27bitch so i love sweats i think this is cool i like this it's different you know i mean it's not for me
37:33but i appreciate that you added that detail yeah on sweats i think it's really well made it's just
37:39there was no showmanship to it yeah you know i think that's where you fell flat okay thank you
37:44all right alex tell us about your look so quite a few of my pieces are also inspired by kimonos
37:51i incorporate into the way that i create different pieces is that part of your heritage to kimono
37:56yes my grandmother was japanese okay so i go to the sauna a lot and i love a corset i don't care what
38:03the situation is at the sauna well obviously you're not gonna wear a corset in the sauna but post-sauna you
38:10can but you gave her a corset she doesn't look comfortable at all she can't work out in this
38:16guys the story has to match you cannot piss on me and tell me it's raining i'm sorry okay well
38:22the corset you're right but the pant and the sweater top i did like i liked the movement coming
38:27down the runway i don't know when it was coming down i was like oh it looks kind of like laura piano
38:31vibes laura piano come on guys turn around please no do you see the seam of the pant when she turns
38:39around there's the puckering yeah it is a struggle in the back there's a little bit of a problem with
38:45this bib that falls from the corset i think there's too many ideas put in the flap in the front the
38:51flap on the arm she's playing homage to her heritage and yes i love that but i don't see that in the
38:57look at all no all right there's a lot for us to talk about you can leave the runway thank you thank you
39:04let's talk about angelo it is a tough competition to be in if you're that much of a minimalist because
39:14this is a show and you're competing with people that are going to razzle dazzle you have to remember
39:19you are in a competition you have to remember that give us a show vj's look was actually really good
39:28i hated it the ties were insane i thought the dress was really well made it was just out of context yes
39:35i would buy that it was the wrong story the sneakers with it is for me the worst yeah she has to really
39:42watch out for her styling because i don't think she's got it together and it's as we all know a full
39:48polish look that has to come down yeah it may not be at leisure wear but i hope that the judges will
39:55appreciate the hard work that i put in that dress alex's was an eyesore the execution was really poor
40:02and frankly i also thought her styling was bad yeah that is a top i could work with that like with jeans
40:09and i literally can't work with any any of it i do not want to be part of a judging panel where everybody
40:15gets a trophy it was really bad it was bad i agree i'm not ready to go home this early in the game
40:22i want my daughter to see her dad give it his all to achieve the dream of becoming the next big thing
40:29in fashion it has been so much fun i'm so pissed though it's disappointing knowing what you have to
40:39offer and not doing that i just hope that i have the chance to show people what i bring to the table
40:46as a creative oh god my girl alex she's in the bottom i wonder if things would have been different
40:55if i kept jesus and next vj maybe i should have been more of a leader there's a part of me that's thinking
41:03this is because of me one mistake can send you home
41:08project runway is i know it's gonna change my life for the better i just hope that the judges
41:18will give me another chance next time on project runway i think we're gonna blow it up ethan and jesus
41:27you'll be picking your houses i always wanted to start my own house each house must show that
41:33boring can be brilliant sofia vergara will wear the winning look what is all that fringe oh lord wait
41:44you have nothing to try on oh no ethan your team has no clothes it's super sexy it was perfect for me
41:53i'm in shock actually i did not come to work to look at a bunch of ugly clothes i am pissed off
42:03you
