00:00It's a big day here at Blackpool and the Fowl College as A-level results are in.

00:04The campus is buzzing and emotions were high and today futures are taking shape.

00:08All across the college students are opening those all-important envelopes.

00:12My name is Jack Mason, I did a Level 3 triple diploma in engineering, electrical engineering to be precise.

00:18My final grade was DDM which I opened today and I was quite nervous while I was opening it

00:25but hopeful for a good grade which luckily I got.

00:29After this I have an apprenticeship lined up with Westinghouse up in Springfield.

00:33My name is Ryan Gerard and I have studied T-Level Management and Administration here at Blackpool and Fowl College

00:39specialising in team leadership and management.

00:43It's been a really valuable experience for me especially doing my industry placement up at DWP Digital

00:48in which I'm now waiting to hear back from a degree apprenticeship

00:51and Blackpool and Fowl College has been a really supportive and engaging environment for me.

00:55I'm Logan Bennett and I've just completed my Level 3 extended diploma in aeronautical engineering

01:01which I collected my results today and I came out with a triple distinction star

01:05so best result I ever could have hoped for.

01:07Wasn't expecting it to be found expecting one grade lower

01:09but it's been an absolute gem and highlight of my morning.

01:11It's Fia Kelly and I studied Education and Child Care Level 3 at Blackpool and Fowl.

01:17I really didn't expect to get a distinction.

01:19I was happy with the merit but really happy and I'm going to go study working with children, young people and families at Leeds University.

01:26I'm going to be Animal Management at BNFC and I'm going to study Veterinary Nursing.

01:32Hi I'm Ella, I studied Health and Social at Blackpool and Fowl College.

01:36I was really nervous to open my results but I got distinction, distinction, distinction

01:40and I'm hoping to study Mental Health Nursing at UCLan.

01:44We're very pleased with the results this year.

01:45There's been an improvement in our T Level and our BTEC Extended Diploma results

01:50both in terms of pass rates and in terms of high grades.

01:53It means that those students are now really well prepared for their next steps which may well be directly into employment for many

01:59or onto university and further study for others.

02:02The kind of broader subjects that people are interested in,

02:06at this college at Blackpool and Fowl we teach predominantly technical and vocational subjects

02:11and we're very pleased to see that the numbers who are applying for T Levels,

02:14the numbers who are taking BTECs, particularly Extended Diplomas are increasing

02:18particularly in areas like Engineering, Health and Social Care, Education, Digital and Creative Subjects.

02:27Hi, my name's Lily and I studied at T Level Assisted Teaching this year at college.

02:33I got a distinction. I was a bit nervous about opening my results but I'm really excited now

02:38because I'm going to university this September.

02:39My name's Juanston Threlfall, I also did T Level Teaching and Education.

02:43I got a distinction. I was quite confident in results.

02:48And I'm going to do a Level 3 teaching job at a local school and I'm also doing my university degree on the side.

02:55Hi, my name's Liv Melvin and I also study the T Level.

02:59I got a distinction and I felt sick when I was opening in. I was so scared.

03:05But I got a distinction as well so I'm happy now.

03:08I'm not going to uni next year but I'm going to work in a school.

03:12Throughout the morning and afternoon, hundreds of students collected grades across a range of subjects

03:17with guidance from teams and tutors available for one-to-one support.

03:21Many secured places at universities across the UK or are starting apprenticeships or moving into full-time employment.

03:28And I walk in so many of those students already for the university.

03:33So I walked in and I asked my PhD to help.

03:36I asked the PhD to make the PhD to help.

03:37I was able to learn a PhD to help but I'm going to submit a PhD to help me to be able to provide a PhD to help me.
