After a scientist living in a posh apartment complex slaughters a teen girl and kills himself, investigators discover that the murderer had been carrying on experiments involving deadly parasites. Roger St. Luc (Paul Hampton), a doctor living in the building, and his aide, Nurse Forsythe (Lynn Lowry), then realize that the parasites are on the loose, attacking fellow tenants. And those who become hosts turn into erotically obsessed maniacs who pass the bugs on through violent sex.

00:03:25Can I help you?
00:03:26Uh, yes, I, uh, we are looking for the ransom agent.
00:03:29We have an appointment.
00:03:31Ah, I'll just give him a little buzz.
00:03:53Jimmy, use that?
00:03:54This?
00:03:55No, never had it under the holster.
00:03:57A rival company has them, so we gotta have them.
00:03:59It's, um, just an advertising gimmick.
00:04:16Mr. Merrick's coming.
00:04:24Thank you for the time.
00:04:29Welcome to Starliner Towers.
00:04:32And you are?
00:04:33Christemere and Ben der Sweden.
00:04:35Ah, yes, Mr. and Mrs. Sweden.
00:04:37Sorry to keep you waiting.
00:04:38Uh, now, are we talking about one or two bedrooms?
00:04:41One or two bedrooms.
00:04:42I assume we're not talking about bachelors, eh?
00:05:11Now, Brenda, you take a look at this one.
00:05:41And tell me if that doesn't suit you right down to the ground.
00:05:45This is the one with the big view, the panoramic view.
00:06:11This is the one with the panoramic view.
00:06:23This is the one with the panoramic view.
00:06:39This is the one with the panoramic view.
00:06:55This is the one with the panoramic view.
00:07:05This is the one with the panoramic view.
00:07:09This is the one with the panoramic view.
00:07:19Did you say something, Nick?
00:07:21No.
00:07:23Breakfast is just about ready.
00:07:53This is the one with the panoramic view.
00:08:09This is the one with the panoramic view.
00:08:15This is the one with the panoramic view.
00:08:27Can I call you at the office?
00:08:31What do you want to call me at the office for?
00:08:33I don't know.
00:08:35I just thought I might like to call you.
00:08:38I don't know.
00:08:40I'm not going to bid the office except to sign in.
00:08:43But I want claims to check out.
00:08:45Garages?
00:08:47More garages.
00:09:13Garagne.
00:09:31accommodations.
00:09:33Yes, I know.
00:09:38What do you mean?
00:09:40We're going up.
00:09:55Oh, well, I'll just take a little ride.
00:10:00As I was saying, we have quite an exciting variety of completely furnished apartments
00:10:05ready and waiting.
00:10:07You could almost move in this afternoon if you wanted.
00:10:10Notice how the entrance way is too old.
00:10:56Annabelle, it's Nick.
00:11:07You in the bedroom?
00:11:26It's probably nothing at all.
00:11:36Actually, it's probably some form of fatty cyst or something like that that could easily
00:11:41be removed from the doctor's office.
00:11:43Has Nick seen a doctor?
00:11:45He hates doctors.
00:11:49Doctors and lawyers.
00:11:50He never goes to doctors.
00:11:52Look, why don't you do this?
00:11:54Why don't you go down to the clinic and see that nice doctor, what's-his-name, Saint-Luke?
00:11:59Mm-hmm.
00:12:00Go down to the clinic and explain to him that Nick is very ill and he has to stay in bed
00:12:03and ask him to come and see him.
00:12:06And then when he's there, they can fight it out between them.
00:12:11He'll be really mad.
00:12:12Well, so what?
00:12:13You can relax.
00:12:14You'll find out what's wrong with him and let him be the uptight one for a change, really.
00:12:19It's just ridiculous.
00:12:22You're horrible.
00:12:24You're horrible.
00:12:25You're horrible.
00:12:27You're horrible.
00:12:29Nicholas.
00:12:30I didn't expect you in today.
00:12:35I've been telling everyone to call back tomorrow.
00:12:54I want to call back tomorrow.
00:13:02It was Dr. Hobbs who paid the rent on him.
00:13:06Actually, it was her name that appeared on the residency list and on the intercom board.
00:13:11Annabelle Brown.
00:13:14Very civilized young lady and never complained about anything.
00:13:18That was her, Annabelle Brown.
00:13:21That was Annabelle.
00:13:22This was the man who called you up here?
00:13:26Yes, the Dr. Roger St. Luke.
00:13:29He's the director of our little medical clinic here.
00:13:33Medical clinic?
00:13:35Yes, we're on an island, you see. We have to be as self-supporting as possible.
00:13:41Okay, let's have a talk to the doctor.
00:13:45Dr. St. Luke.
00:13:49Dr. St. Luke.
00:13:52Dr. Dr. St. Luke.
00:13:57Dr. St. Luke?
00:13:59Detective Sergeant Allen on the side.
00:14:00I'd like to ask you a few questions.
00:14:02You're the one who found the bodies.
00:14:04Yes.
00:14:06Did you touch anything and move anything before we arrived?
00:14:08Well I removed some surgical tape from the girl's lips.
00:14:11examined the inside of her mouth.
00:14:13I gave the tape to the detective of the other man
00:14:15over there with the canvas bag
00:14:16and looked at the abdominal woman very quickly.
00:14:19Yes, well, the department will be getting back to you about that.
00:14:23Now, you knew these people.
00:14:26Well, I knew the man,
00:14:27Emil Hobbs. He was a doctor and professor
00:14:29at the university. I saw the girl around the building.
00:14:31I didn't know her. She never came into the clinic.
00:14:34So you came to visit this man, Hobbs,
00:14:37and you found him like that?
00:14:39No, I haven't seen
00:14:40Dr. Hobbs since medical schooling.
00:14:43You see, he taught me as my professor at the university
00:14:45in urology, venereology.
00:14:48He also conducted some seminars
00:14:49in psychopharmacology. That's about it.
00:14:53I never really had any idea
00:14:54he ever set foot in these 200 towns
00:14:55until the day.
00:14:57So what brought you up here?
00:14:59Well, he called me at 6 o'clock this morning.
00:15:02Hobbs called me.
00:15:04I thought I was dreaming.
00:15:04I hadn't heard that voice in so long.
00:15:07He said, meet me in apartment 15...
00:15:0911.
00:15:11At noon, we go out for lunch.
00:15:13It's time you for a larger education.
00:15:15That's it.
00:15:16How did he sound?
00:15:17Depressed?
00:15:17Nervous?
00:15:18No, he's fine.
00:15:241511.
00:15:27No, no.
00:15:28You've got the wrong man.
00:15:29Just a moment, please.
00:15:31Dr. St. Luke, it's for you.
00:15:33Someone wanting to know
00:15:33why you didn't turn up the lunch.
00:15:39Actually, I know it's not the kind of a
00:15:41lens that Hobbs had in mind for us,
00:15:42but that's all I got.
00:15:45Isn't it beautiful?
00:15:46Hmm?
00:15:46This was Hobbs and my project.
00:15:50See, what I'm trying to find
00:15:52was an alternative
00:15:54to organ transplant.
00:15:57Am I keeping you up?
00:15:58No.
00:15:59You're bored, right?
00:15:59To you, organ transplant is just yesterday's kishkes, right?
00:16:04Look,
00:16:06you've got man, right?
00:16:08And you've got parasites
00:16:09that live in, on, and around me, right?
00:16:13So,
00:16:14why not,
00:16:16why not breed a parasite
00:16:18that can do something useful?
00:16:21Huh?
00:16:22A parasite that can take over
00:16:24the function of a human organ.
00:16:26For example,
00:16:27you breed a parasite
00:16:28that you implant in the human body cavity,
00:16:31and it hooks into the circulatory system,
00:16:34and it filters the blood
00:16:35just like a kidney does.
00:16:38And so it takes a little blood for itself.
00:16:39Once in a while,
00:16:39what do you care?
00:16:40I mean, you've got enough
00:16:41you're going to afford to be generous.
00:16:43Huh?
00:16:45Are you following me?
00:16:46Oh, no, I am, I am.
00:16:47Look, same, listen.
00:16:47Look,
00:16:48you've got a guy with a bad kidney, right?
00:16:50Now, you put the bug in him.
00:16:51The bug goes to work on the kidney,
00:16:53dissolves it,
00:16:54though the body assimilates it.
00:16:55Now, what do you got?
00:16:56You've got a perfectly good parasite
00:16:58where you used to have a rotten kidney.
00:17:01Right?
00:17:01I know what you're going to say.
00:17:03You're going to say it's crazy.
00:17:05Actually, I was going to ask you
00:17:06if you had any mustard.
00:17:07Come on.
00:17:08Come on, garage, really.
00:17:09I know.
00:17:10What do you think?
00:17:11I think it's crazy.
00:17:12It's crazy,
00:17:13but who cares?
00:17:15I mean, look,
00:17:17Hobbs was a lousy teacher.
00:17:19I mean, we've got to face
00:17:20the facts of life.
00:17:20He was a lousy teacher.
00:17:21He was a dull, academic,
00:17:23just plain lousy,
00:17:24but he had a genius for one thing.
00:17:27That was getting grants.
00:17:29Why, he could raise money
00:17:30for crazy projects.
00:17:31For example,
00:17:32who do you suppose
00:17:32is paying the rent on this place?
00:17:33Not here.
00:17:36No.
00:17:37The Northern Hemisphere
00:17:38Organ Transplant Society.
00:17:40And that's for something
00:17:41that's supposed to put them
00:17:42out of business.
00:17:43Here.
00:17:44About here.
00:17:45Here is a...
00:17:46Here is a partial list.
00:17:49A partial list
00:17:50of some of the...
00:17:51some of the other research projects
00:17:53that we are underwriting,
00:17:55but with their money.
00:17:57Smart?
00:17:57Ashen and Gaunt
00:18:02Insurance Appraisals.
00:18:04Mr. Tudor?
00:18:07One moment, please.
00:18:09I'll buzz him.
00:18:09I'll buzz him.
00:18:09Nicholas?
00:18:19There's a call for you.
00:18:34Nicholas,
00:18:34it's that man
00:18:39whose Lamborghini
00:18:40caught fire
00:18:40on St. Catherine.
00:18:42He's very angry.
00:18:47Nicholas?
00:18:48What's wrong?
00:18:57We're going to get you
00:18:58to a hospital.
00:18:59It's probably an ulcer.
00:19:01I'm going home for the day.
00:19:02But, Nicholas...
00:19:03I'm all right, Mona.
00:19:05Call me a cab.
00:19:07All right, Nicholas.
00:19:13All right.
00:19:23How did Hobbs know this girl?
00:19:26Who is she?
00:19:26I mean, what is she?
00:19:28Some chick he met
00:19:29while he was lecturing
00:19:30at a girls' school.
00:19:32You know what happened?
00:19:32They caught him
00:19:34examining her titties
00:19:35for breast cancer
00:19:36in the faculty lounge.
00:19:41She was 12 years old.
00:19:44You don't talk about crazy.
00:19:47We used to bring her up here
00:19:48once in a while.
00:19:51I'll never understand
00:19:52how he could do
00:19:53what he did to her.
00:19:54Well, I think I'm going
00:20:04to have to go back
00:20:05and open up the store.
00:20:07It's been great.
00:20:09See you.
00:20:11All right.
00:20:12You think about
00:20:13what I just talked to you
00:20:14about?
00:20:15About joining your minutes?
00:20:17Sure.
00:20:18Deal.
00:20:19See you.
00:20:20Keep it in.
00:20:20All right.
00:20:21Hey, how about the pickle?
00:20:28It's used.
00:20:29Good afternoon, Mr. Tudor.
00:20:51I guess that the aging process
00:20:57is in any way reversible.
00:20:58I don't think for a moment
00:21:00that it is,
00:21:00but it might be stoppable,
00:21:02and that's where
00:21:02megavitamins come in.
00:21:04Mrs. Tudor,
00:21:05you ready now?
00:21:06Yeah.
00:21:07Excuse me, Brad.
00:21:08Go to the car.
00:21:08Oh, sure.
00:21:09I'll be with you
00:21:10in a minute.
00:21:10Right.
00:21:11All right.
00:21:11All right.
00:21:11All right.
00:21:11All right.
00:21:13All right.
00:21:13All right.
00:21:14All right.
00:21:15All right.
00:21:15All right.
00:21:16All right.
00:21:17All right.
00:21:17All right.
00:21:18All right.
00:21:19All right.
00:21:19All right.
00:21:20All right.
00:21:20All right.
00:21:21You know, I don't see any,
00:21:46any change in this company reported
00:21:50on your husband last year.
00:21:52I see a few too many
00:21:53escar bill,
00:21:56a little too many crepes
00:21:57with ice cream,
00:21:58strawberries,
00:21:59and a dash of grand mornier,
00:22:00but I don't see any chance
00:22:01of any cancer developing
00:22:03as fast as,
00:22:04you know,
00:22:04as you described me to.
00:22:06I think there might be
00:22:07some swelling gland
00:22:08to something.
00:22:08It's hard to see.
00:22:11Well, can you come up
00:22:12and take a look at him?
00:22:14That's what I'm here for.
00:22:15I don't think I can do it
00:22:17until about 9, 30,
00:22:1910 o'clock.
00:22:20Is that okay?
00:22:20Oh, that's terrific.
00:22:21Not too late, huh?
00:22:21No, that's fine.
00:22:22Oh, thank you so much, doctor.
00:22:24Don't worry about it.
00:22:25Okay.
00:22:26I'll take it.
00:22:29Are Mrs. Immenthal's ready,
00:22:30doctor?
00:22:32Well, tell Mrs. Immenthal
00:22:33I'll be right with it, will you?
00:23:03I'll be right with it.
00:23:33I'll be right with it.
00:24:03I'll be right with it.
00:24:33Look.
00:24:35Poor birdie.
00:24:36Oh, poor birdie.
00:24:40What?
00:24:41They're always crashing
00:24:42into tall buildings.
00:24:44The windows fool them, you know.
00:24:46Oh, come along, Ollie.
00:24:47It's such a shame.
00:24:49Such a shame.
00:24:49Come along, dear.
00:24:50Oh, oh, oh, I...
00:24:52The poor little...
00:24:53It's not cool yet,
00:24:56because it may be only hurt.
00:24:59Oh, don't be silly, dear.
00:25:00It's in heaven now, whatever it is.
00:25:04Now, come along.
00:25:06I'll get you tucked in the bed
00:25:07before the color TV.
00:25:09You know what a recipe is.
00:25:11And Friedler seems to think that the megavitamin therapy
00:25:20is the answer to the question of aging.
00:25:22That's not to suggest that the aging process
00:25:24is in any way reversible.
00:25:26I'm ready for you now, Brad.
00:25:28Oh, okay.
00:25:37Now, you just take your shirt off,
00:25:38and the doctor will be in to see you in a minute, okay?
00:25:41You don't have to go.
00:25:42I'm not shy.
00:25:43Now, don't be a tease, Brad.

00:35:28the time is seven o'clock this is john woodhouse with mediascope news sports and weather
00:35:48a bizarre murder suicide has montreal police baffled today as they attempt to untangle events
00:35:55leading to the discovery of two bodies in the star liner island apartment complex early this
00:36:00afternoon the body of a 68 year old retired professor of medicine was found lying in a
00:36:07pool of blood by an unidentified former student the professor apparently committed suicide by
00:36:13cutting his throat with a scalpel after performing an as yet unexplained operation on a 19 year old
00:36:19woman the woman's nude body was found lying on the dining room table badly mutilated police are not
00:36:27releasing any names pending notification of next of kin on the labor front talk of an impending steel
00:36:34worker strike has people on the defensive spokesman for the steel workers union are asking for a
00:36:40question
00:37:03got those things you asked for those files on horsefield
00:37:07and those are from the american journal of psychiatry
00:37:20yes this is this is the house paper and as an extra um these are some things that will compile
00:37:25you for your time here i thought they might be of interest to you
00:37:28and now how about a kiss
00:37:36hey how about a kiss sure oh that's the best thing i heard all day how about another kiss
00:37:45listen do we have some more people on the list no no that isn't that
00:37:48yes roger me rollo interesting you should call is just uh looking over this material you did with
00:37:57hobbs it's uh it's interesting well it's very flattering but i don't think you'll find much
00:38:03real meat on it no how come well you know i always thought hobbs was funny but i i told you that before
00:38:10right i just never knew how funny until now see when he kicked off he sent over his personal notes and
00:38:17stuff after all of his partner right anyhow i've been going through his papers and what it adds up to
00:38:21is this hobbs was shafting us all me the university the foundations the council everybody
00:38:29i don't don't quite get it here now hobbs believed that man is an animal that thinks too much
00:38:35an over-rational animal that's lost touch with its body and its instincts how you like that
00:38:40in other words you know too much brain and out of guts so what he came up with to help our guts along
00:38:45was a parasite that's uh here uh a combination of aphrodisiac and venereal disease that will
00:38:53hopefully turn the world into one beautiful mindless orgy well i think it sounds a little crazy
00:39:00yeah look the important thing to you roger is this you know annabelle well he was using her as a
00:39:08guinea pig guinea pig right now he implanted her with a parasite and once it took over well apparently
00:39:13she went berserk i guess hobbs wasn't ready for that so i guess he just had to kill her what was the
00:39:20point well the point was that well he wasn't trying to burn her he wasn't no he was trying to burn
00:39:29the things all of them yeah well he didn't make it what maybe hobbs didn't know it but annabelle brown
00:39:37was a pretty popular girl around starliner towers i've got three men here maybe four hosting large
00:39:42free-moving apparently pathogenic uh abdominal growths that nobody i've tried can identify
00:39:47uh hey listen i'd like to come over and take over with those guys well why don't you uh i'm uh
00:39:55i'm gonna meet one of them soon uh followed by the name of tudor it's on the you know on the
00:40:01directory there you can just uh meet me up at the apartment yeah look i'll be right over uh listen
00:40:07roger i don't i don't want to panic or anything but um the way the way hobbs design those things they
00:40:15get out of hand pretty fast so you got to be careful i mean before you even have a chance to
00:40:19know what's happening to you once they start pumping that juice into the old bloodstream well i
00:40:24don't know the point is if you see anybody doing anything compulsive i mean any kind of
00:40:29you know bizarre sexual things well once we can get a lot of things we can use maybe we'd start with a
00:40:37kind of a basic tropical kit and work up from there i'll bring a bag full over but the point is
00:40:42you got to get at them and fast
00:41:12so
00:41:42so
00:42:12listen i want to stay uh i gotta meet rollo with uh the two-door apartment you know it's
00:42:17gonna be pretty late oh well why don't you come up to my place with something to eat when you're
00:42:21finished no i'll tell you it's gonna be very very late oh it doesn't matter to me how late it is
00:42:26i'll keep it warm say is anything wrong i mean with the hobbs thing yeah good nothing we can't handle
00:42:35well how about supper at my place i'll keep it late okay see you later
00:42:49well

00:47:17I think he lives in the apartment house.
00:47:19He just attacked me, but now he isn't at all.
00:47:22I opened the door, I was fixing your dinner,
00:47:24and he just grabbed me, and he just tried to kiss me.
00:47:27Where is he now?
00:47:28I don't know. I think I killed him.
00:47:30I stabbed him with something, and he fell.
00:47:32I'll tell you what you do. Just stay here.
00:47:34I'll go up and check it out, all right? Just stay here.
00:47:36No, no, no. I'm not going to stay here by myself.
00:47:38I'm going to go live here.

00:49:57Get away, Robbie!
00:49:59Yes, Gunther. How many times do I have to tell you yes?
00:50:09Consider what it costs me.
00:50:18Sometimes, Gunther, I wonder if I should try to get along on my own and not do you anything.
00:50:22Oh, don't be that way.
00:50:24You're always helping me, Gunther, but you don't miss the chance to remind me.
00:50:29All right, now, what I want you to do is I want you to subscribe to that old taxi and the door comes.

01:06:58Well, there might be a connection.
01:07:00You see, it's about your locker, and I'm afraid somebody broke into it earlier in the evening.

01:15:05Roger, I had a very disturbing dream last night.
01:15:08In his dream, I found myself making love to a strange man.
01:15:18Only I'm having trouble, you see, because he's old and dying, and he smells bad, and I find him repulsive.
01:15:29But then he tells me that everything is erotic, that everything is sexual.
01:15:43You know what I mean?
01:15:44He tells me that even old flesh is erotic flesh, that disease is the love of two alien kinds of creatures for each other.
01:15:59That even dying is an act of eroticism, that talking is sexual, that breathing is sexual.
01:16:15That even to physically exist is sexual.
01:16:18That even to physically exist is sexual.
01:16:22And I believe him.
01:16:25And we make love beautifully.
01:16:28Look, I don't know why this was through some of the universe for me.
01:16:44Excuse me to挺 himself and the HORN voice.
01:16:48I'm supposed to be the libertarian by this man.
01:16:50This woman loves you, and I'm still a naughtyman that I can really know, is that dipper?
01:18:23Oh, my God.
01:18:53Oh, my God.
01:19:23Oh, my God.
01:19:53Oh, my God.
