Chiefs coach lauds Mahomes' leadership

Kansas City's pass game coordinator, Joe Bleymaier, said Patrick Mahomes has a unique ability to communicate.

00:00His ability to communicate with the veteran guys who have been here,

00:05and then also the younger guys, Jalen, who's learning our offense,

00:09some of the newer tight ends, exactly what he wants through their eyes.

00:14So he can speak to Rasheed and Xavier, Hollywood, Trav, a certain way.

00:19They have a communication that sometimes is unspoken.

00:23But then with Jalen and some of our newer tight ends and newer pass catchers,

00:27he's been able to communicate exactly what he wants through their eyes,

00:31which is you can see him almost taking a breath and seeing,

00:36hey, I know exactly what you were thinking or here's what I think you thought,

00:39and here's how I saw it, and it's just clicking.

00:43I think that's a maturity and an experience thing from Patrick

00:46to be able to recognize the game through their eyes

00:50and see it through their experience and then meet them where they are.

00:53It's been incredible to watch.
