00:00I'm traveling on Canyon Spirit's three-day train journey from Salt Lake City to Denver

00:07and lunch is being served.

00:14Canyon Spirit is an offshoot of Canada's Rocky Mountaineer train company, which Australians love.

00:21It has been operating a two-day train journey between Moab and Denver since 2021,

00:28but an extension between Salt Lake City and Moab will be launched in April next year,

00:35and I'm here to preview it.

00:38The American Southwest is home to some of Earth's most visually arresting landscapes.

00:45Fiery red craters and canyons, dramatic rock formations and arches, and mass-like misas and hoodoos.

00:54Carved by wind and water over thousands of millennia,

01:00Canyon Spirit glides its way through this breathtaking theater of mother nature.

01:06There are spellbinding views at every turn,

01:09but according to the company's CEO, Tristan Armstrong, the best stretch of scenery is...

01:15Gore Canyon. It has soaring thousand-foot cliffs. It's absolutely a stunning stretch of track.

01:22By day, guests travel from one location to another in luxurious carriages with expansive windows that

01:32capture the views. My favorite spot is the vestibule, where you can soak up views like this without glass

01:40windows. Or make your way to the lounge car, where more incredible views await alongside delicious cocktails.

01:50When it's time to fuel up, gourmet meals are served at your seat.
