00:00A question for you on this specific issue.
00:05Do you expect more cities to follow D.C.'s path if this goes through?
00:09So the idea is that Chicago, L.A., San Francisco,
00:12would they expect similar action what we've seen in D.C.?
00:15Any other questions, sir?
00:16There is reporting that the administration is going to reclassify marijuana.
00:20Would that send mixed messages that if marijuana is okay,
00:23some drugs are okay, or we're trying to clean up crime?
00:25How do they go hand-in-hand?
00:26We're only looking at that. That's early.
00:28But, you know, somebody reported it, which is fine.
00:30We're looking at it. Some people like it. Some people hate it.
00:33Some people hate the whole concept of marijuana,
00:35because if it does bad for the children,
00:37it does bad for people that are older than children.
00:40But we're looking at reclassification,
00:42and we'll make a determination over the next,
00:44I would say, over the next few weeks.
00:46And that determination hopefully will be the right one.
00:49It's a very complicated subject, you know, the subject of marijuana.
00:52I've heard great things having to do with medical,
00:55and I've had bad things having to do with just about everything else.
00:58But medical and, you know, for pain and various things,
01:02I've heard some pretty good things.
01:03But for other things, I've heard some pretty bad things.
01:06The other part of your question, I mean,
01:10we're just going to see what happens with it all.
01:12You're going to have...
01:13We're going to have a tremendous success in what we're doing.
01:16Other cities are hopefully watching this.
01:19They're all watching, just like everyone's watching here.
01:22They're all watching.
01:23And maybe they'll self-clean up,
01:27and maybe they'll self-do this and get rid of the cashless bail thing
01:31and all of the things that caused the problem.
01:33I mean, if you go back, this whole thing with cashless bail is a disaster.
01:37So many problems came that we never had before.
01:41So they're watching us today.
01:44And if they don't learn their lesson, if they haven't studied us properly,
01:48because we're going to be very successful.
01:49I have zero doubt about that.
01:51It's going to be...
01:52It's a question of will it be really fast, like the border.
01:55And everyone said, they used to say, Biden used to say,
01:58I need legislation.
01:59I need...
02:00You didn't need...
02:01I didn't get any legislation.
02:02I called up our people, and we did a great job.
02:08Tom Homan was great.
02:10Our...
02:11As you know, our secretary did a great job.
02:13They did a great job.
02:14There's no games.
02:15They didn't play games.
02:16And we're going to have the same thing here.
02:18But then I'm going to look at New York in a little while.
02:22Let's do this.
02:23Let's do this together.
02:24Let's see.
02:25It's going to go pretty quickly.
02:26And if we need to, we're going to do the same thing in Chicago,
02:30which is a disaster.
02:31We have a mayor there who's totally incompetent.
02:33He's an incompetent man.
02:36And we have an incompetent governor there.
02:39Pritzker's an incompetent.
02:40His family threw him out of the business, and he ran for governor.
02:45And now I understand he wants to be president.
02:48But I noticed he lost a little weight, so maybe he has a chance.
02:51You know?
02:52You never know what happens.
02:53But Pritzker's a gross incompetent guy thrown out of the family business.
02:57But when I look at Chicago and I look at L.A., if we didn't go to L.A. three months ago,
03:06L.A. would be burning like the part that didn't burn.
03:09If he would have allowed the water to come down, which I told him about in my first term,
03:14I said, you're going to have problems.
03:15Let it come down.
03:16We actually sent in our military to have the water come down into L.A.
03:20They still didn't want it to come down after the fires.
03:22But that was it.
03:24We have it coming down.
03:25But hopefully L.A. is watching.
03:28That mayor also, the city's burning.
03:31They lost like 25,000 homes.
03:33I went there the day after the fire.
03:35You were there.
03:36And I saw people standing in front of a burned-down home.
03:40Their homes were incinerated.
03:42They weren't like, even the steel was literally, it was all warped and literally disintegrated
03:49because of the winds and the flame and the whole thing, like a blowtorch.
03:52They were standing on this beautiful day, maybe a couple of days after.
03:57We gave it a little time because what they had suffered.
04:01Almost 25,000 homes.
04:03And you see what's happening now.
04:05They didn't give their permits.
04:06I went to a town hall meeting.
04:07I said, we're going to get you the federal permits, which are much harder.
04:11Almost immediately.
04:14Lee Zeldin is a star.
04:15He did an incredible job.
04:16They have all their federal permits.
04:18They don't have their city permits.
04:20And the mayor said to me, we think we can have them in two years.
04:23I was walking down the street and I met with firemen and police.
04:28And I was saying hello to many people that were standing in front of their homes with yellow tape.
04:34You can't go in.
04:35You can't go onto the lot.
04:36And those people wanted to start rebuilding their homes then and there.
04:40And the mayor said, we should be able to get them the permits within two years.
04:43I said, that's a shame.
04:44Two years.
04:45Are you kidding?
04:46I'm going to get them the federal permit, like almost immediately.
04:48Two years.
04:49Two years.
04:50And she drew it back.
04:51Well, maybe one year.
04:52The place was booing her out of the place.
04:54They don't have their permits to build their homes.
04:57And now they're talking about putting this is among the most beautiful areas was in the country.
05:03Now they're talking about putting low income housing there.
05:06Can you believe this?
05:08I love low income housing.
05:09I made money with low income housing.
05:11I built low income housing.
05:12I know more about low income housing and luxury house.
05:14I know about everything real estate.
05:17They want to replace some of those homes with low income housing.
05:22They haven't gotten their permits yet.
05:24We've gotten all the federal permits, which are much tougher to get.
05:28And it was done almost immediately through Lee Zeldin and federal environmental.
05:32And I watched the other day.
05:34Those people are angry.
05:35And now, you know, they had tremendous.
05:37They love that area.
05:38They loved a whole big area, different places, but they loved it.
05:42It was all luxury stuff and beautiful stuff.
05:44And some wasn't that luxury.
05:46But the level of love for that neighborhood, their neighborhoods, was incredible.
05:51And you know what?
05:53I watched people on television.
05:54They want to go.
05:55They want to leave.
05:56They've lost their spirit.
05:57They've lost their heart.
05:58Because the mayor is incompetent.
06:00And Gavin Newsom is incompetent.
06:03Got a good line of bullshit, but that's about it.
06:05He's incompetent.
06:06And you have Los Angeles is, you know, it's amazing.
06:10You know, I called.
06:11The first thing I did, I got the Olympics to go there.
06:13I was the one that got it.
06:15And by a rare thing that happened, I'll be the president.
06:18I was very upset because I got the Olympics.
06:20And I said, I won't be president when it comes.
06:22But bad things happened and illegal things happened.
06:26Really illegal things happened.
06:27Now it turns out one good thing was I'm going to be the president for the Olympics for 2050,
06:33for 250, which is going to be fantastic, and also for the World Cup.
06:37So we have a lot of good things.
06:39And I hope 250 is going to be the 250th anniversary is going to be the best.
06:43But when I looked at those people, and I saw last night on television,
06:48that they still don't have their permits, it's a disgrace what's happened in Los Angeles.
