00:13The alleged mastermind, a former Trinamool Congress leader already facing multiple corruption
00:17probes in West Bengal.
00:18Bhivas Adhikari allegedly fled to Noida while facing multiple investigations related to
00:22scams and corruption.
00:24Once in Noida, he established a bogus international law enforcement setup complete with an Interpol
00:29style police station, IB office signboards and even vehicles with fake stickers, all
00:34with the help of his associates.
00:36The accused allegedly sent out fake notices to residents in West Bengal, threatening international
00:40legal action and extorting money by promising to settle land disputes or secure bureaucratic
00:45favours.
00:46Bhivas Adhikari's son also played an active role, using vehicles with Interpol stickers
00:50to project an image of legitimacy while extorting money.
00:53During the raid, Delhi police recovered fake signboards, ID cards, cash and mobile phones
00:57from the premises.
00:58Further investigations revealed that this is not Adhikari's first attempt.
01:02Kolkata police had earlier foiled a similar plan in Belia Ghatta, Kolkata.
