A golf competition that started a year before the inaugural Masters Tournament, The FarmFoods British Par 3 Championship returned to the West Midlands, celebrating its 92nd year at the historic Nailcote Hall in Warwickshire.  Like the Masters Par 3 in Augusta, the British Par 3 combines a relaxed, community feel with serious competition – and at Nailcote Hall in the Midlands, boasts a stage that keeps this unique tradition thriving.

00:06the Farm Foods British Par 3 Championship, returned to the West Midlands,

00:11celebrating its 92nd year at the historic Nailcoat Hall in Warwickshire.

00:17With a week of golf involving celebrities and professionals,

00:20the event once again showcased the precision and nerve required for Par 3 golf at the highest level.

00:26Now, Nailcoat Hall proprietor Rick Cressman, who built the Cromwell course specifically for this tournament,

00:35said he wanted to create a venue that offered the intimacy and drama of short-form golf.

00:41It's great to see, you know, some of the regulars as well, like Keith Deller and some of the footballers that we've got here.

00:50Lee Hendry, who's won the Celebrity Challenge.

00:53I think there's, yeah, there's just a great mix of people.

01:00Away from the main leaderboard, former West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odenwingi

01:05impressed fans with his natural touch around the greens.

01:10While actor Danny Walters, known for roles in EastEnders and Benidorm,

01:14brought a touch of celebrity glamour to proceedings.

01:17Both took time to meet spectators, adding to the festival atmosphere that has become a hallmark of the event.

01:26But I think that's when you can test your golfing skills, really.

01:29So I'm really happy to come here always and compare myself to last year.

01:34So hopefully this year I'm better a bit in the bunkers than any time I've ever come here.

01:40So I think this could help me.

01:44And yeah, unless you're hitting the ball high and it lands, it's just going to roll off the back into the bunkers.

01:48And I think I was in every single bunker today.

01:51So my bunker play is A1.

01:54But yeah, it's definitely testing every year.

01:57Like the Masters Par 3 in Augusta, the British Par 3 combines relaxed community feels with serious competition

02:06and a nail-cut haul in the Midlands.

02:08It boasts a stage that keeps this unique tradition thriving.
