00:00Malaysia and regional partners are preparing to send a joint delegation to Myanmar
00:04to push for peace and deliver humanitarian aid to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.
00:10Bangladesh is hosting more than 1 million Rohingya in Cox's Bazar,
00:14now recognised as the world's largest refugee settlement.
00:19The announcement came as Bangladesh Interim Leader, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus,
00:24began a three-day visit to Malaysia.
00:26Prime Minister Dato' Sri Anwar Ibrahim said securing peace in Myanmar was a top priority.
00:32He added that immediate aid was vital for refugees and earthquake victims.
00:37Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Dato' Sri Muhammad Hassan coordinated the mission
00:41with counterparts from Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand.
00:45The delegation was scheduled to depart in the coming weeks.
