00:12PNP Chief Nicholas Torre III unveiled his latest law and order brainchild

00:17in front of his commander-in-chief in PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City,

00:22earlier today as part of the police force's celebration of the 124th founding.

00:28President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. looked intently on the PNP Chief's demo

00:33on his five-minute response scheme on 911 nation calls

00:37placed to the PNP's 40-man emergency response unit.

00:41Using Trece Martires City in Cavite as the sample in his demo,

00:45Torres showed how the city's PNP station dispatched a unit to the alarm location in City Hall

00:51within the five-minute time frame window.

00:53He said the use of the real-time maps, live monitoring equipment,

00:57and global position systems, or GPS, have afforded the police to track incidents in the real,

01:03cutting down response time and allowing quick, decisive action.

01:07Torres said the police from June 2 to August 10 had handled 3,500 911 calls received

01:14by their emergency response unit for a 94% success rate,

01:19assuring his commander-in-chief of even higher or better results moving forward.

01:23There's a new sheriff in town to uphold the law in the nation's capital.

01:28In a bold, unprecedented move, U.S. President Donald Trump, with the chiefs of the Pentagon,

01:34Justice Department, FBI, and the Secretary of the Interior behind him,

01:38announced the takeover of law enforcement from the D.C. police and the development of National Guard from here on.

01:44Citing an existing emergency on lawlessness gripping the nation's capital,

01:49the president made good on his warning to take over the reins of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department

01:55to address crime and homelessness more efficiently and promptly as he sees fit.

02:00Even with the police data showing a 30-year low drop in the crime rate

02:04and a slide in nearly all focus crimes,

02:06Trump issued the order over the recent bugging of a 19-year-old Department of Government efficiency staffer.

02:12Likewise, he warned to duplicate this order in liberal or Democrat-held cities and states,

02:18tagging Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and Baltimore, to name a few.
