00:04Britain's unemployment rate remained at a four-year high in the latest quarter.
00:10The ONS said the rate of UK unemployment was 4.7% in the three months to June.
00:17It was the same as the previous three-month period, which had been the highest level since June 2021.
00:23Meanwhile, average earnings growth, excluding bonuses, remained at 5% for the period of June.
00:31It came as UK job vacancies tumbled by 44,000 over the three months to July to 718,000,
00:39the lowest number of job openings since April 2021.
