We look ahead to the 2045 Total Solar Eclipse, the next one that will cross over the continental U.S. from California to Florida.
Transcript
00:00Millions marveled at the 2024 total solar eclipse, a moment when the moon briefly turned day into night across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
00:09Now, an even more breathtaking celestial show is on the horizon.
00:13On August 12, 2045, a total solar eclipse will once again sweep across the United States, this time from coast to coast,
00:21casting a shadow across the country in a rare event known as a total solar eclipse.
00:26The path of totality will stretch from California to Florida, cutting across major cities including Sacramento, Colorado Springs, Jackson, Montgomery, and Orlando.
00:36Those in this path will witness one of nature's most awe-inspiring displays.
00:40The sky darkens, temperatures drop, and the sun's corona becomes visible in a surreal midday twilight.
00:47Lasting longer, stretching further, and plunging more of the U.S. into darkness,
00:51the 2045 eclipse may be the most breathtaking celestial event in American history.
