00:00What happened to your son as a GP? So he's conducting a GP surgery and a patient leans
00:05over the desk brandishing a knife, threatening him with a knife. Now he dealt with it really
00:09well, he's fine, but this is not an isolated incident. You know, one in six NHS workers
00:15in England have been abused physically, attacked physically. One in three ambulance staff.
00:24Yes. 10% of nurses have been sexually harassed by visitors or patients. And it's something that has
00:30to stop. I mean, it's basically an abuse of the NHS. In 1948, when the NHS was created,
00:36everyone was so in love with it and so grateful. This never happened. But now it's as if, you know,
00:41oh, we can just abuse those staff. They're here, you know, at our bequest. We'll do anything that
00:46we want them to do. And we can threaten them if they don't do it. So we do need more protections.
00:51We need better reporting systems. And that's really what I'm saying.
00:55That's really, yeah, really. I hope I'm glad it turned out well for him and that he had
00:59the presence of mind to be able to handle that. That would be terrifying.
01:01Well, he's six foot five. That helps.
01:03That does help.
