London’s “Wet Wipe Island” has become a notorious feature of the Thames since it started to form a few years ago, posing a threat to wildlife and proving an embarrassment to capital.An enormous pile of wet wipes has formed an island along a 250-metre stretch of the tidal river near Hammersmith Bridge.
