00:00Today, I'm building a fully working submarine.
00:03We'll see beautiful fish, navigate through shark-infested waters,
00:07and even search for a lost shipwreck in the middle of the ocean.
00:09But first, we need to build our submarines, starting with the base.
00:11This is one giant test tube.
00:13It's funny that Noah says that because it's actually ready for its first test.
00:16We want to see if this tube floats or sinks.
00:19So it's time to go to the lake.
00:21All right, time to see what happens.
00:22Hopefully it won't flip over.
00:24What do they say? Bon voyage?
00:26Cowabunga, dude.
00:27Just a little kick and they'll be good to go.
00:30The whole point of making a submarine is so you can go deep under the water.
00:33But right now, this thing's floating like a boat.
00:35Hey, I think they might be floating away too.
00:36Hey, what was the rescue plan again?
00:38Right now, our design is so bad.
00:39I have to pull them back in with this string.
00:41We're definitely going to have to add a window right here to watch sharks swim by
00:44and explore this shipwreck.
00:46That's right.
00:46Once we build our homemade submarine,
00:48we're taking it to the middle of the ocean to look for a lost shipwreck.
00:51But first, we have to figure out how to build it.
00:52Right now, this looks nothing like a submarine and it also doesn't work either.
00:56We're going to have to do a ton of math to make this thing work.
00:58Let's go back to the warehouse.
00:59To build the submarine, we have to cut holes in the base for the windows,
01:02apply a waterproof paint coating,
01:04and a bunch of weight so our submarine can submerge deep under the water.
01:07But I think the next step is adding some massive windows right here
01:10so we can actually see what's in the ocean.
01:12So these are the windows we're going to be installing on our submarine.
01:14You can see through them crystal clear.
01:16Let's just hope they're all so strong.
01:18Hey, it's loud.
01:19If these windows break or leak at all when we're in the ocean,
01:21it'll be extremely dangerous for us.
01:23Yeah, we'll all die.
01:24So we need to test each window to make sure it's waterproof.
01:31Oh my...
01:31Well, on the bright side, it's leak-proof.
01:34Next, we need to cut holes in our base for the windows.
01:36We're going to grab some saws and start cutting this thing open.
01:39There you go.
01:40Why do you have that?
01:40Do you know how to use that thing?
01:43No?
01:47I think it's safe to say it's no longer watertight.
01:50Now we can install our viewing windows.
01:52I can't wait to see how a little fishy out this window.
01:55But for now, I just see Aaron.
01:58Love you too, buddy.
01:59We're going to add a lot more windows
02:00because the shipwreck is supposedly extremely hard to find.
02:03We're going to go around these edges and add a bunch of glue,
02:05and we're also going to be welding it.
02:07So hopefully it doesn't leak because that would be bad.
02:09I'm using a special tool to weld the window to the submarine.
02:12If there's even one small hole,
02:13the entire submarine will fill with water,
02:15causing us to sink and lose all of our air.
02:17We've successfully added all of the windows on our giant tube.
02:20The biggest problem that we have
02:21is this thing currently floats at the top of the water,
02:24so we have to weigh it down
02:25so it can sink down to the ocean floor like a real submarine.
02:28We're going to need a lot of weight.
02:31Why are you laughing?
02:32I got the perfect idea.
02:33Woo! Uncle Dave's here!
02:35We're going to get this under the water for us,
02:36if you know what I mean.
02:38I'm an expert.
02:39Submarine builder.
02:40No, you're just the weight.
02:41Oh.
02:41It's safe.
02:42Aaron built it.
02:43I just learned how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
02:45We're good to go.
02:46Hopefully Uncle Dave weighs enough to sink our submarine,
02:49but we'll worry about that later.
02:50So to transform this piece of junk into a real submarine,
02:53we're going to be using these foam blocks.
02:58Now we just have to do that about 1,000 more times.
03:01You got it?
03:01Hot to it!
03:03Oh!
03:04Oh!
03:04Oh!
03:04Oh!
03:05Oh!
03:05Oh!
03:05Oh!
03:06Oh!
03:06Oh!
03:07Oh!
03:07Adding these foam blocks will give us a better shape to navigate in the ocean waters.
03:10Now I'll put a foam block right there.
03:12We're using this Subway sandwich as a reference to build our submarine.
03:16Right now, this looks more like the Krusty Krab from SpongeBob,
03:18so we have a lot of sculpture to do to turn it into a submarine.
03:21This is like playing a violin, but except with a sock.
03:27That was actually just fake music.
03:29This is what it really sounds like.
03:30Oh, stop, please.
03:31We have to be very careful to not cut any holes inside of our submarine by mistake
03:34because it could eventually cause us to drown.
03:36It's crazy to think if this goes wrong,
03:38I could die inside of the thing that we're building right now.
03:42Kind of a scary thought.
03:43After literal days of sanding, it's time to apply our waterproof coating.
03:46We're about to bring this submarine to life with some paint.
03:49We're painting it yellow.
03:50Good thing sharks can't see yellow.
03:51I don't think that's true.
03:52We're just painting it yellow because it looks cool.
03:53We poured the paint and started applying it.
03:55This is about to look so good.
03:58Our submarine is about to look beautiful in the ocean.
04:02I just hope we're actually building a submarine and not our future coffin.
04:06Me and Noah have the perfect teamwork going right now.
04:08I'm pretty sure we're painting the same spot.
04:10Next, we started adding some details to make our submarine look more authentic.
04:13Right now, I'm adding the metal look to our submarine.
04:16I'm going to leave a secret Easter egg on our submarine.
04:18Nobody's ever going to know that this is here.
04:20Except for the millions of people watching this.
04:22Oh, well.
04:23We're going to start adding a clear waterproof coating across the entire submarine.
04:27So there's no leaks.
04:28At least we hope.
04:29With the last details completed, we're ready to look for the lost shipwreck in the dangerous ocean.
04:33We've officially made it to Florida.
04:34The ocean is right over there.
04:36We're about to put our submarine in the ocean for the very first time.
04:38Honestly, Brandon, I want you to get a bunch of beautiful shots of our submarine
04:41because it may never look like this again.
04:43This is when something really bad happened.
04:45The employees at the docks said our submarine can't go in the water with more safety gear
04:48and the proper tags.
04:49We need to find some sort of boat store or something so we can get all this stuff on our
04:52submarines and make it feel.
04:53So we went to the boat store to fix that.
04:55This entire store is filled with all kinds of different things for boats.
04:58The reason we're here is we can actually get our submarine legit.
05:01I hope.
05:02We're trying to get our submarine up to code.
05:03What would you recommend?
05:05If you follow me real quick.
05:06How experienced are you with submarines?
05:07I'm sorry.
05:08Uh, not at all, actually.
05:09But he said the most important things are safety equipment because this submarine is extremely
05:14dangerous.
05:14It's very important that your life jacket kind of fits you good.
05:17Probably this one is probably going to be easy to you, buddy.
05:19Regardless, that one's probably a small one.
05:22What do you think the chances of death are with our homemade submarine?
05:28I wouldn't recommend doing this, by the way, to anyone out there watching.
05:31We purchased all the proper equipment to make our submarine approved.
05:34Now it's time to dive our submarine under the water.
05:36All of our weeks of hard work has led up to this moment.
05:39We're about to put our submarine in the middle of the ocean.
05:45Our submarine is officially in the ocean.
05:49This actually feels insane right now.
05:51See, Matt, we're drifting further out.
05:54Unfortunately, our past problem of a submarine not going underwater is still here.
05:58It's going to be a lot deeper if it's going to be a submarine.
06:00Because our submarine is too light, it doesn't sink into the water and just floats on the
06:03top.
06:04And we're floating away from land, just so you know.
06:05Are we actually floating away from land?
06:06Yeah.
06:07No, we're not.
06:07I hate to break it to you guys, but it looks like it's about to rain.
06:10Are you being serious?
06:11This is not good.
06:12If too much of the rain gets inside of the submarine, we'll sink to the bottom of the
06:15ocean.
06:16This is how we die!
06:17We're going to die!
06:18We've got multiple problems.
06:19I just walked out here.
06:21Okay.
06:22Oh!
06:23We just hit a boat.
06:24We're grinding.
06:25We actually just hit a boat.
06:26Luckily, after an hour, the rain stopped, and we were able to paddle our way back to the
06:30dock.
06:30I feel like I'm walking a dog right now, but it's just a giant submarine.
06:33But unfortunately, we have to add even more weight to get our submarine to go onto the
06:36water.
06:37Basically, we need the same amount of weight that's inside of a school bus to make our submarine
06:41sink.
06:41These sponges are not heavy enough.
06:43Uncle Dave says he's scared of the ocean, so we've got to find something else heavy that'll
06:46weigh the submarine down.
06:47I feel like if we mix concrete, that'll be good.
06:52We had to get so much cement that we literally had to get a forklift.
06:55After buying all of the concrete from the store, we headed back to our Airbnb to begin
06:59our plan.
07:00It's 11 o'clock at night.
07:01It's actually 12.
07:02I was about to say it's 11.59.
07:03It's about to change on my watch.
07:04Come here, Noah.
07:04It's actually 12.
07:05We have to fix our submarine tonight because tomorrow's our only chance to try this before
07:10a massive storm comes in.
07:12We are mixing a bunch of concrete right now in these were barrels that we are handing up to
07:16Noah to put in our submarine.
07:17It's going to weigh more than Brandon's mom.
07:19Okay, you didn't have to go without.
07:21We are mixing concrete at an Airbnb with a submarine, by the way.
07:24The things we do for YouTube videos are truly insane.
07:27We need to add lots of weight, but if we add too much, we might sink forever.
07:30We added so much cement to try to make our submarine so much heavier that it literally just broke
07:35our trailer.
07:36If they check their cameras and see all of these cars and see us working on a submarine,
07:40they're definitely not going to be happy.
07:41We've been pouring concrete inside the submarine for the last few hours now.
07:50It's time to let the concrete dry, get some sleep, and take this thing back into the ocean
07:54tomorrow.
07:54Hopefully explore the depths of the ocean.
07:56Today's the only day where the water is safe enough before the storm.
08:00I have a lot of different concerns today.
08:02We're not even sure if the windows will be waterproof.
08:04We're not sure if the submarine will sink down.
08:06And we don't want to die.
08:09If today goes poorly, this might be the last time I ever drive a car.
08:12To help us navigate the dangerous ocean, we hired a captain to pull our submarine.
08:16We're going to tow the submarine with this bad boy?
08:18Oh, this will tell your submarine no problem, man.
08:20Let's go ahead and see how we're going to tow her.
08:23I got a special hat for good luck today.
08:26I'm the captain now.
08:27You know the captain goes down with the ship.
08:29Don't say that.
08:30So right now we're attaching these ropes to the back of his boat so we can actually get
08:33dragged out to the ocean.
08:34I brought a lot of safety stuff just because I don't know what's going to happen today,
08:37so I kind of want to be prepared for everything.
08:39Never done a homemade submarine.
08:41I'm hoping I don't have to save it today.
08:42Once we attach the submarine to the boat, we're ready.
08:44Right now we're taking this boat to tow us out to the middle of the ocean so we can board
08:48our submarine.
08:50That's a crazy visual.
08:51You can see million dollar yachts back there and our homemade submarine.
08:54We headed to deeper water where the shipwreck was last seen.
08:57We have made it to the middle of the ocean.
08:58I can't believe we built a homemade submarine.
09:00The storm is approaching, so we need to enter our submarine immediately.
09:03We're about to board an official submarine and explore the ocean.
09:06Are you guys ready?
09:07Yup!
09:09Oh!
09:11The entrance is actually this way, Noah.
09:12I guess it's time to go inside.
09:15Yo!
09:16Bro, this is crazy!
09:18I just got on and I can already see fish.
09:20This is so cool!
09:22Look at the stingray next to it!
09:23It's coming right towards us!
09:24We've been inside of our submarine for a second.
09:26Now I want to give you guys an official tour.
09:28Right over here, we added LED lights.
09:31As you can see on this side, we have our three bubble windows, and over here we have our giant
09:35one.
09:35Since we don't see the shipwreck down here, we need to keep moving to find it before the
09:39storm comes.
09:39We are moving so fast right now.
09:41Top speed, baby!
09:42The water is like crystal clear.
09:45There's literally a fish right there, look.
09:46Oh my gosh!
09:48There's an entire school of fish right beneath us.
09:50Our biggest goal is finding this lost shipwreck, but it's extremely dangerous being in here.
09:54To make this expedition as safe as possible, we have a boat monitoring us on the top and
09:58scuba divers in the water.
09:59I saw Mr. Beast do this once.
10:00We're going to print the scuba diver.
10:01We're going to write that there's a shark behind him.
10:03When I show him this message, we all have to scream, okay?
10:05Okay.
10:05Three, two, one.
10:07Oh, go!
10:07He's right there, right there!
10:09He's getting you!
10:10Go!
10:11We got him!
10:12Bro, that's insane!
10:14Look, he has a starfish.
10:16Oh!
10:17He's holding a starfish right now.
10:19That is crazy!
10:20We continued exploring the ocean and looking for the shipwreck.
10:23Oh, shoot!
10:24There's a turtle!
10:24Oh, no way!
10:25There is the biggest turtle ever!
10:27The coolest part about this submarine is we can actually move it, so we're about to go to
10:30shark-infested waters right now.
10:32Even though the water is beautiful and extremely peaceful, at any second, these windows could
10:37break from the pressure.
10:38I just learned how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
10:40Forcing the water inside, killing us all.
10:43Oh, that's kind of brutal.
10:44That's great.
10:45I just thought I would remind everybody how ridiculous this is.
10:48And this is just the start.
10:49We haven't even brought the submarine to the ocean floor yet, where the risks of drowning
10:53are extremely high.
10:54We're about to go under a bridge and under the water.
10:57We're in an actual working submarine right now.
10:59In case you're wondering how this submarine works, we have a bunch of concrete and sandbags
11:03on the bottom to help us sink down.
11:04But whenever we want to go even deeper, we can fill this bag up right here with thousands
11:08of gallons of water, which is very heavy, so we sink down.
11:11The only way we can find this sunken ship is if we submerge completely under the water.
11:15We are officially locked inside of our submarine.
11:17We're going to hook up a hose to this and put ocean water in here and start sinking down.
11:20These windows are about to be fully submerged underwater because we're going down.
11:24Let's go deeper!
11:25Right now, we're in the open ocean, but we're about to head to a coral reef so we can see
11:30so much more wildlife.
11:32There's water in this window right here.
11:34Really?
11:34Yeah.
11:35Why?
11:36Oh, there's a lot.
11:37Are you being serious?
11:37Yeah.
11:37Hey, we got a window leaking.
11:39We got water pouring in this window over here.
11:41We got to fix it fast.
11:42I'm trying to find tape.
11:43Can I put it on my camera?
11:44We got to get tape right now.
11:45Do I have to take you to the red light?
11:46Here, just come right here.
11:49Okay, I have tape for you.
11:50All right.
11:50Right now, the window's just leaking a little bit, but if that thing bursts, this entire thing's
11:53going to fill with water.
11:54I'm going to try to apply this flex seal to stop the leak before it gets too big.
11:57I can't rip it.
11:57Here, help me.
11:58Hurry up.
11:58Okay, you won't.
11:59I can't get the tape.
12:00Just give me a, give me a, give me a.
12:02The water's pouring in.
12:03All right.
12:06All right.
12:06I think we might be good.
12:07We were really lucky to patch the hole quickly.
12:09Now, we can start sinking to the bottom of the ocean floor.
12:12Bro, this is actually beautiful down here.
12:14Being down here, we can see so many different things than before.
12:17You can see the ocean floor now.
12:19We are way deeper.
12:20Do you see that?
12:20Yo!
12:21Oh my God.
12:24What?
12:24I just saw something.
12:25I'm not even joking.
12:26I see it.
12:26What was that?
12:27That was, I saw it there, and then I just thought, the water's so murky.
12:31Look, I think we just hit the sand.
12:33We just hit the sand.
12:35What does that mean?
12:36What does that mean?
12:36We actually just touched the bottom of the ocean.
12:38Look at all the sand getting kicked up right now.
12:41Our goal is to explore the bottom of the ocean, and we just hit the bottom.
12:44Let me try to call the captain.
12:45Yeah, yeah, yeah.
12:45Are we free?
12:46Are we good?
12:46I don't have any service.
12:47I can't tell.
12:48We didn't rock around here.
12:49We don't even have service down here.
12:50Are we good?
12:51Are we floating?
12:51Are we just stuck?
12:52I don't have service right now.
12:54Oh, I see bubbles.
12:55Okay, we're going up.
12:56We're going up.
12:56We're going up.
12:57Okay, we're good.
12:57We honestly just touched the bottom of the ocean.
12:59That is so cool.
13:01So we decided to go back above since we only have limited oxygen when we're below the water.
13:06Whoa.
13:08This is crazy.
13:09Right now, we're moving to a different location in the submarine.
13:12We want to see the entire ocean.
13:13There's a bunch of places that we can explore.
13:15Supposedly, there's a sunken shipwreck near here surrounded by vicious sharks.
13:19Look at that.
13:20We're moving so fast.
13:23Look at all the bubbles.
13:24As we were searching for the shipwreck, the storm started.
13:26The waves are actually picking up a ton.
13:28I think there's a storm coming in.
13:30This is so bad.
13:31Look at the waves.
13:31The waves are starting to get really big.
13:33You can see the waves crashing against our windows.
13:35I don't actually know what to do right now.
13:37As the big waves continue, it's putting a lot of pressure on our glass windows.
13:40I don't know what's more concerning, that we're in a homemade submarine or that Noah's
13:44our captain.
13:45I'm getting scared.
13:46I'm actually trying to freak out because if water comes in here, this is going to flood
13:49really quick.
13:50If anything bad happens out here, we're in the middle of the ocean all alone.
13:53I don't know if this would be a bad time to mention or not, but we are currently
13:56surrounded by sharks.
13:57And the sharks in this area can be very dangerous and hungry.
14:01Whoa, that shark is as big as our submarine.
14:04Those are some massive sharks.
14:05Bro, why are we even doing this?
14:06Behind us, behind us.
14:07Look, where's our scuba diver?
14:09I have no idea.
14:10Look on that side.
14:10Look on that side.
14:11See over there?
14:11Oh, it's going right towards him.
14:12It's going right towards him.
14:13Oh, shoot.
14:14We're safe inside of our submarine, but our scuba divers are still out there getting shots.
14:18Captain, get us out of here.
14:18Since we started to see sharks, we knew we were close to the sunken ship.
14:22Oh, look, there's fish coming.
14:23No way.
14:24Oh, shoot.
14:24This is so cool.
14:25There's a whole school of fish coming towards us.
14:28Whoa.
14:28There's so many fish right there.
14:30Oh, my gosh.
14:31You can literally see it.
14:32Look at all the plants and stuff down there.
14:34We got a sunken ship on the starboard side right now.
14:37Check it out and let me know what it looks like.
14:38Oh, I see it.
14:39Look at that.
14:40Do you see that?
14:41Look.
14:41We're about to hit it.
14:43Oh, my gosh.
14:44Oh, my gosh.
14:47Bro.
14:47How big is this thing?
14:48I feel like I can just touch it.
14:49Oh, my gosh.
14:51Are you seeing this on the camera?
14:52Yeah, I got it.
14:53This is the most incredible thing.
14:54Is it safe to be that close to it?
14:57The waves are really heavy right here.
14:59Yeah.
14:59Wow.
14:59Oh, my gosh.
15:02I think we just hit the ship.
15:03Oh, we just hit it.
15:04We just hit the sunken ship.
15:05See what's rocking?
15:07Get to one of these stuff.
15:09Oh, my gosh.
15:10We're literally right above it.
15:11We're on top of it.
15:12We're on top of it.
15:12We're going to hit this thing again.
15:14I'm trying to get you so close.
15:15I can't stop hitting it.
15:16This is actually insane.
15:18This is uncharted, dude.
15:19Nobody's ever seen this wreck before.
15:21Wow.
15:22Bro, we're the first people to find that shipwreck.
15:24I can see this sunken ship from my window.
15:26Look at this.
15:27There is so many fish around the ship.
15:29That is actually crazy.
15:30We don't even have to get wet to see it.
15:32We're diving in style.
15:33That sunken ship kind of looks like our submarine.
15:36I hope that doesn't happen to us.
15:37I'm trying to figure out if we should call ourselves explorers or survivors
15:40because we did it.
15:41All right, Captain, get us out of here.
15:42This is just crazy.
15:43All right, we're going to get you out of here before you're the next shipwreck.
15:46Thank you so much for watching.
