00:00The biggest lie young people are told
00:01when they're 18, 19, and 20 is go to university
00:05and you're guaranteed to get a high-paid job.
00:08This lie is drilled into through the school system
00:10and then reinforced by parents who are stuck in the past.
00:13While it might have been true in my time,
00:15it's not the reality anymore.
00:17Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying
00:19that studying is a waste of time.
00:21Many degrees are very useful
00:23and the student experience is unforgettable.
00:25However, relying solely on a degree to make you rich
00:29isn't the right approach.
00:30That's why it's so important for students
00:32to start some kind of side hustle
00:34that has the ability to grow into something
00:36much bigger in the future.
00:38Look, I wasn't wealthy enough to be able to afford university
00:41or probably academically smart enough,
00:44but I always had side hustles.
00:46Ultimately, my side hustles turned into
00:48multi-million dollar businesses and made me a millionaire.
00:52That's why today, I'm gonna dive into seven side hustles
00:55students can start this year.
00:57To be honest, these can actually apply to anyone, anywhere
01:00in the world.
01:01And because I hate those silly videos
01:03that just regurgitate the same list of side hustle ideas,
01:06I'm actually gonna share real life examples
01:09of people smashing it and rate them out of five
01:11in these important categories.
01:13How much time it takes to learn, how much money you need,
01:17and how difficult it is to make a thousand dollars per month.
01:20Side hustle idea number one, faceless short form content.
01:25This is Daniel Bitten, like many of you,
01:27he started using social media for fun at the age of 13.
01:31Now at 16, he's earning half a million dollars
01:34every single month creating short form content
01:37on Snapchat without even showing his face.
01:39It sounds unbelievable, but it's completely true.
01:42My son Curtis actually bumped into him at LAX airport.
01:46And after doing some research, I can assure you,
01:48he's not capping.
01:49So why can you make so much money doing this?
01:52Well, at the moment, there's a huge war going on
01:54between Snapchat, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
01:57During the pandemic, TikTok became so popular
02:00and grabbed the attention of the world.
02:02Since then, all the different social media platforms
02:05have been competing for this attention,
02:07as the more eyes they have on their app,
02:09the more money they can make from advertisers.
02:11Stick with me because this is where
02:13it all starts coming together.
02:14The one thing these platforms need more than anything else,
02:17is content creators.
02:19What attracts the best creators better than anything else?
02:22Money, because we all like a little bit of that.
02:25This is a once in a lifetime opportunity,
02:27but once a platform is established at the top,
02:30competition will decrease along with the payouts.
02:33So you'll need to jump in on this one quickly
02:35if you wanna be making close to half a million dollars a month,
02:38just like Daniel.
02:39The people that are paid the most
02:40are those that create original content,
02:42rather than just cutting up
02:44other people's content from YouTube.
02:46Daniel does this by using existing videos,
02:48but then adding different voiceovers, music, and edits.
02:52This strategy combined with consistent posting,
02:55led to extreme growth.
02:57He then expanded with multiple channels in various niches
03:00to attract diverse audiences.
03:02So for example, one of his channels is about rapper updates
03:05and the others is focused on live streamers.
03:07Now for those important ratings.
03:09I'll give this a four out of five.
03:11Although making short clips may seem quick and easy,
03:14there's a lot more that goes into it
03:15than you might first think.
03:17Saying this, if you regularly watch TikTok or shorts,
03:20then you'll be better prepared than most.
03:22Creating short form clips is a lot more
03:24about understanding human psychology
03:26than it is about fancy editing.
03:28If you can create a great hook
03:30and build towards some kind of payoff at the end,
03:32you'll increase the watch time.
03:34This is the only trick you need to know
03:36if you want your videos to go viral
03:38and earn you lots of money.
03:39Trust me, I've managed to get 7 million followers on TikTok,
03:43using this exact strategy.
03:45The best way to teach yourself this
03:47is to watch short form content on a daily basis.
03:50Make it part of your routine.
03:52This might sound different
03:53from what many people my age will tell you,
03:55but I'm not talking about using it for entertainment.
03:58Every time you stop and watch a short,
04:01I want you to ask yourself a simple question.
04:03What intrigued me enough to stop scrolling
04:06and watch the whole thing?
04:07Make a list in your notes app.
04:09And before you know it,
04:10you'll have a ton of different winning ideas.
04:12Secondly, how much money do you need?
04:15I'll give this one out of five.
04:18Because if you have a phone and an internet connection,
04:20then you can get started.
04:22And if you're watching this video,
04:23then I'd assume you've got both of those things.
04:25Thirdly, how easy is it to make $1,000 per month?
04:29I'll give this a one out of five.
04:31As I mentioned, social media platforms
04:33are handing out cash like there's no tomorrow.
04:36Just think, to make $1,000 a month,
04:38all you'd have to do is be 0.2% as good as Daniel.
04:43Now, if you don't think that's achievable,
04:45then you need to believe in yourself a bit more.
04:47Idea two, invest in.
04:49A lot of people are gonna disagree with me on this one,
04:51as it's technically not a side hustle.
04:54However, it makes me around about $17,000 per week.
04:57So I thought it was definitely worth a mention.
04:59It's taken me a lot of years to build up to that.
05:02However, I've managed to do it all on my own,
05:04without a financial advisor charging me commission
05:07on every investment.
05:08It's really not as complicated as people make out.
05:12Of course, I'm not a financial advisor
05:14and investments can go up as well as down,
05:16but my dollar cost averaging strategy
05:19is where it wonders for me over the years.
05:21This is when you consistently buy into the market,
05:23no matter if it's high or low.
05:25Over time, the idea is that the price
05:27you buy the stock at averages out.
05:30You can do this with pretty much any stock you want.
05:33However, the real secret weapon has to be index funds.
05:36If you were to invest $200 a month for 40 years
05:40and get an average return of 10% per year,
05:43then you'll have over $1.2 million.
05:46I know what you're thinking.
05:48How on earth am I gonna make a 10% return?
05:50You're out of touch, old man.
05:52Well, of course, past results
05:54are no guarantee of future returns.
05:56However, over the last 10 years,
05:58the average annual return of the S&P 500 was 11%.
06:03Okay, but I don't wanna wait 40 years
06:05to become a millionaire.
06:07This is exactly how you should be thinking.
06:09I didn't wanna wait until I was old and gray either.
06:12I went out and made quick money through my side hustles,
06:15started a business and made millions,
06:18all while investing around half of my earnings
06:20and multiplying it in the stock market.
06:22It's not a choice between one or the other.
06:25You really should consider doing both at the same time.
06:28Now let's get onto the ratings.
06:29Oh, I've forgotten the photo.
06:32Let's use that one.
06:32Firstly, how much time does investing take to learn?
06:36I'll give this a one out of five
06:37because as I said, the basics are extremely simple.
06:41I've got multiple videos on my channel
06:43breaking down the core concepts like passive income,
06:46the different types of accounts to open
06:49and my favorite, index funds.
06:51Once you master the tricky words,
06:53you'll see that it's really simple,
06:55especially with different investment apps,
06:57allowing you to automate your investments
06:59every single month.
07:00So you don't even have to think about them.
07:02My favorite for this kind of thing is Trading212.
07:05So I reached out to them to see if they'd be interested
07:08in sponsoring this section of the video.
07:10They agreed and are also offering a free stock
07:13worth up to a hundred pounds to anyone
07:15that uses the code Tilbury
07:17when they create an account
07:18and deposit as little as one pound.
07:20If you're a beginner,
07:21then definitely check out their pies feature
07:24as you can have a look at what other people
07:26are investing their money in
07:27and then either create your own pie
07:29or just copy theirs.
07:31You can then set it to auto invest for you
07:33as often as you like,
07:34and your money will be split
07:35between the different stocks in your pie.
07:37Secondly, how much money do you need?
07:40I'll give this a one out of five
07:42because you can start with as little as $1.
07:44I don't suggest you put all your money into stocks though.
07:47Make sure you're investing it back into your side hustle as well.
07:50And thirdly, how easy is it to make $1,000 per month?
07:54I'll give this a one out of five.
07:56As for me, I don't have to do anything.
07:58It's just easy.
07:59However, it took me a lot of years of consistency
08:01to get to this stage.
08:03In my opinion,
08:04investing should always be paired with a side hustle
08:07that generates you fast money.
08:09Side hustle idea three, Discord building.
08:12This is Chris Peters,
08:14and he's on track to make $15,000 a month
08:17from building and managing Discord servers.
08:20And he's only 19 years old.
08:22I remember first chatting with Chris a couple of years ago.
08:25He must've been about 17 at the time.
08:28I had just started my free Discord group
08:30and had absolutely no idea what I was doing.
08:34He messaged me and offered to help me for free.
08:37So I took him up on that offer
08:39and he completely revamped my server.
08:41By the way, I am still running the free Discord group
08:44and I'll drop a link in the description below
08:46if you wanna join us.
08:48Over the years, I've been more and more impressed
08:50with Chris's work ethic and quick thinking.
08:52So it's fair to say,
08:54I'm not letting him work for free anymore.
08:56If you don't know,
08:57Discord is basically this all-in-one communication hub
09:00with text, voice, and video chats.
09:03It started off just for gamers,
09:05but now it's pretty versatile
09:07used by all sorts of communities and businesses.
09:09There's a huge opportunity here
09:11because as the usage of Discord increases,
09:14there are people like me a few years ago
09:16who have no idea how to operate it.
09:19It's complex enough to confuse a beginner,
09:21particularly those of an older generation,
09:24but simple enough for a youngster to learn
09:26in a short amount of time.
09:28I mean, Chris started his Discord business
09:30while he was still at school sitting his GCSE exams,
09:33and I was one of his first clients.
09:35Just remember to offer huge value upfront
09:37before asking for any kind of payment.
09:40If you do good work and make yourself indispensable,
09:43you'll start earning big.
09:45Now it's time for those ratings.
09:47Firstly, how much time does Discord take to learn?
09:51I'll give this a two and a half out of five,
09:54as you can get to grips with the basics
09:56in a couple of hours.
09:57However, to do the really complicated stuff,
10:00it may take a bit longer,
10:01depending on how tech savvy you are.
10:03I asked Chris for his top tip for learning Discord skills,
10:07and he said it's important to join multiple communities.
10:10This way, you can learn what makes a successful server.
10:13Secondly, how much money do you need?
10:16I'd rate this a one out of five.
10:18You can get started with just your computer.
10:20Although finding clients, planning community features,
10:24and customizing the Discord servers
10:26to fit your client's niche may take time.
10:28In the early days,
10:29you should be able to manage all of this stuff yourself.
10:32Thirdly, how easy is it to make $1,000 per month?
10:35I'd rate this a one out of five.
10:37Let's look at the numbers.
10:38Now, assuming you can find four clients
10:40and put them on a monthly retainer,
10:42you'd only have to charge them $250 each,
10:45and boom, that's $1,000 a month right there.
10:49And honestly, if you find the right clients,
10:51you should be able to charge them much more than this.
10:54Side hustle idea four, online coaching.
10:57This is Jack Jefferson.
10:59He decided to quit his $70,000 nine to five in London
11:03to pursue his online fitness coaching side hustle full-time,
11:08as it started generating him $7,000 a month.
11:12Now, you may be thinking,
11:13that's only $14,000 more than his full-time job in London.
11:16However, now he has something even more valuable, freedom.
11:20He can now operate his side hustle from anywhere in the world,
11:24as long as he has an internet connection,
11:26so he can check in with his clients
11:28and review their progress.
11:29Jefferson Training now has over 40 clients
11:32and is growing by the month.
11:34I get that not everyone is a gym expert,
11:36and this might seem a little niche.
11:38However, notice how the title of this idea
11:41isn't online fitness coaching, it's online coaching.
11:45That's because there are countless things
11:47that you can teach people online
11:48and get the same results as Jack.
11:51From my travels to Dubai and Miami recently,
11:54all the young millionaires I meet
11:56seem to be coming from the online coaching space.
11:59They all have some kind of info product
12:01and they're earning thousands.
12:02It's honestly an absolute gold mine.
12:05I've only started to notice this recently,
12:07as most of the millionaires I bumped into before this,
12:10have their own physical products, like me,
12:13with my range of radio control models.
12:15The world is absolutely changing.
12:17People really value online support and expertise.
12:21This industry just didn't exist when I was younger.
12:24Now it's time for those ratings.
12:26Firstly, how much time does online coaching take to learn?
12:30I'll give this a two out of five,
12:33because if you already have a skill
12:35people are willing to pay for,
12:36then all you need to learn is
12:38how to package it up and sell it.
12:40Once you've created this process,
12:41you can then rinse and repeat the formula
12:44to get you thinking, here's what Jack does.
12:46He starts off by conducting an in-depth onboarding session
12:49to understand the needs and goals of each client.
12:52He then crafts personalized nutrition plans,
12:54detailing breakfast, lunch, and dinner,
12:57alongside tailored fitness plans,
12:59specifying both training and resting days.
13:02He then sets up regular check-ins
13:04where he guides his clients through video feedback.
13:07I hope you can see how something like this
13:08can be easily adapted to lots of different types
13:11of coaching.
13:12I think the key to making good money relatively quickly
13:15is to offer degree of personalization,
13:18rather than just selling an online course,
13:20as people are pretty sick of those.
13:23Secondly, how much money do you need?
13:25I'd rate this a one out of five,
13:27as all you need is your laptop and you're good to go.
13:30Of course, this does assume you have some kind of skill
13:32you can teach.
13:33It might cost you a bit more
13:35if you have to learn a skill first.
13:36Thirdly, how easy is it to make $1,000 per month?
13:40I'd rate this a one out of five on the difficulty scale.
13:43As from what I've seen, this is incredibly easy.
13:47People are lazy.
13:48So although they could probably learn this stuff
13:50from a book, they don't want to spend the time doing that.
13:52They would much rather spend some money
13:54and be spoon-fed the information.
13:56Remember, people pay for convenience.
13:58Side hustle idea five, AI animation.
14:02This is Mercy.
14:04He's responsible for all the animations you see on my channel,
14:07and he's making eight to $10,000 per month,
14:11creating these for multiple clients.
14:13This side hustle is really interesting,
14:15as AI is the biggest thing to happen to technology
14:18since the internet.
14:19Just think how many billionaires that created.
14:23Despite the ongoing buzz, you might be surprised
14:26how few businesses have actually begun to use it.
14:29You see, there are five stages to technology adoption,
14:32and they look like this.
14:33First, you have the early innovators,
14:35which make up 2.5% of the people.
14:38They are the people that are willing to take a risk
14:40and go against the grain.
14:42They'd go out and buy the Samsung Fold
14:44or the new Apple Vision Pro on its first initial release.
14:47Second, we have the early adopters,
14:50making up 13.5% of the population.
14:56Similar to innovators, they're willing to take a risk.
14:59However, they prefer to test the product
15:01before forming an opinion and recommending it to others.
15:04Thirdly, we have the early majority,
15:06which is 34% of the population.
15:09These are the people that look at the product reviews
15:12before making a purchase.
15:13They want to see proof of it working
15:16before committing to it.
15:17This is a line where I believe we currently are with AI,
15:20at the very first stage of early majority adoption.
15:24This is followed by the late majority,
15:26making up another 34%.
15:28And finally, the laggards,
15:30which is a surprising 16%.
15:33When you get to my age,
15:35you'll find that most people are in the laggards category.
15:38They like sticking with what they know
15:40and they really don't want to learn anything new.
15:43Now, here's the important thing.
15:44Whether you like it or not, AI will go through this cycle.
15:48So let me ask you this very simple question.
15:51Would you rather embrace it now
15:54or wait for everyone else to get the benefits
15:56and end up having to use it anyway?
15:58There are so many creative ways to use AI,
16:02but let's go back to Mercy for a solid example.
16:05He uses tools like ChatGPT to help him script ideas out,
16:09and then uses Midjourney to bring his ideas to life.
16:13Let's get into the ratings.
16:15I'll give this a four out of five.
16:18Although AI can do a lot of the heavy lifting for you,
16:20Mercy still devoted months
16:22to mastering top-notch animation skills,
16:25which helped him land clients
16:27and build relationships to keep the cash flowing in.
16:30So I'd recommend mastering the core principles of animation
16:34and actively participating in industry networks
16:37to keep refining your skills.
16:39Secondly, how much money do you need?
16:41I'd give this a one out of five.
16:44Because we're at an early stage in the adoption curve,
16:47it doesn't take a lot of expensive tools to stand out.
16:50When Mercy first started his side hustle,
16:52he managed to get featured
16:53on Andrew Tate's Instagram story
16:56because of some AI artwork he created.
16:58This gave him all the free promotion he needed
17:01to build a strong client base.
17:03This just shows that you don't need a lot of cash right now
17:06to make an impact.
17:07Thirdly, how easy is it to make $1,000 per month?
17:11I'd give this a two out of five.
17:13As online creators are getting more and more popular,
17:16there is more money flooded into the space.
17:19Creators wanna stand out and by adding animations,
17:22it's a great way to make their videos
17:24look more premium and engaging.
17:26So get started now and get so far ahead
17:30that the late adopters can never catch you.
17:32Side hustle idea six, reselling luxury items.
17:37This is Ben Gallagher,
17:39a normal lad who started reselling luxury items online
17:43as a side hustle.
17:44In 2023, he generated 7.2 million pounds
17:49through his business, Lux Collective,
17:51and even recently appeared on Dragon's Den,
17:54which is a bit like Shark Tank,
17:56and received investment from Stephen Bartlett
17:58in exchange for a 3% equity stake.
18:01I'm so proud of how far he's come
18:03since appearing on my old podcast years ago.
18:06The luxury resale market soared to a whopping $39.23 billion
18:11in 2023.
18:13So it's no surprise that Ben is having so much success.
18:16The growing millennial population is driving a lot of this interest
18:20in luxury resale.
18:22Along with social media culture increasing the importance
18:25of flexing designer labels, reselling is a really cool side hustle
18:30as now, with the internet, you're able to sell to anyone in the world,
18:34giving you access to a global marketplace.
18:36So let's look at the ratings.
18:39I'll give this a four out of five,
18:42as Ben spent countless hours learning how to identify fakes,
18:46learning about the market,
18:48and scouting for the best purchases.
18:50Ben looks out for items from brands like Louis Vuitton,
18:53Dior, Chanel, and even Hermes.
18:55Of course, you can imagine it's very important
18:57that he knows his stuff,
18:58as just one slip up could ruin his company's reputation.
19:03Ben has to carefully examine each bag for scent,
19:06stitching, material,
19:08and even send samples to a company in New York,
19:10which use microscopic technology
19:13to examine the exact structure of the materials used.
19:17So if you're passionate about designer items
19:19and are prepared to put the time into learning
19:21in all the details, then it's worth a shot.
19:24Secondly, how much money do you need?
19:27I'd give this a 3.5 out of five,
19:31as these designer items can be pretty pricey.
19:34I mean, some of these bags are worth up to $30,000,
19:38and that's the secondhand price.
19:40A lot of these high-end bags tend to keep their value,
19:42or maybe drop slightly.
19:44I mean, it's practically a designer bag stock market.
19:47Maybe that's why my son, Curtis,
19:49has bought his girlfriend so many bags,
19:51or maybe he's just a simp.
19:53But of course, you don't have to start off
19:55with items like this.
19:56You can go for more reasonably priced ones
19:58and work your way up.
20:00That's what Ben did.
20:01You also don't have to pay for marketing,
20:03as you can leverage social media platforms
20:06to grow your customer base completely free.
20:08I mean, Ben struck gold on TikTok
20:10when he started posting fashion content,
20:13and has now amassed over 1.6 million followers.
20:16Thirdly, how easy is it to make $1,000 per month?
20:20I'll give this a one out of five,
20:23as when you're dealing with luxury goods,
20:25the profit margins are usually very nice.
20:27Combine this with the average sell,
20:29and you can make this kind of money with just one item.
20:32The tricky thing for this side hustle
20:34is getting that initial money to start,
20:36which is something you don't have to worry about
20:39with online writing.
20:42This is Adam, and he earns over $10,000 a month
20:45through online writing.
20:46Before you get carried away,
20:48he's not writing the next Harry Potter or Game of Thrones.
20:51That kind of writing doesn't earn you a good income
20:54until you get published and hit it big,
20:56which is a one in a million chance for most writers.
20:59Adam instead writes what's actually in demand
21:01and publishes where the readers are online.
21:04He started off writing blog posts
21:06about his travels to earn passive income
21:08and live anywhere in the world.
21:10This later led him to working as a copywriter
21:13for large influencers.
21:14He got one client, which led to another, and so on.
21:18He told me when he offers a service,
21:20he always tries to be exclusive
21:22and do it in a way that no one else could.
21:25There's always gonna be someone cheaper than you,
21:28but not always someone more expensive.
21:31Find a client who can afford to pay the premium,
21:33then offer a world-class service.
21:36Words can make you sound smart,
21:39or they can do the opposite
21:40depending on how they're deployed.
21:42That's why businesses hire copywriters,
21:45basically salesmen, but in print.
21:48And it's not just websites either.
21:50People need quality writers for all sorts of things.
21:53Everything from TikTok scripts to threads on Twitter,
21:56content is king.
21:58And the magician behind all of this is often the writer.
22:01Firstly, how much time does writing take to learn?
22:05I'd give this a five out of five,
22:08as writing is one of the hardest things to do,
22:11not physically, but mentally,
22:14especially in this day and age,
22:15where it's so easy to get distracted by notifications.
22:18In order to be a good writer,
22:20you need to achieve a state of flow.
22:23And that only comes when you're able to focus
22:25for long periods of time.
22:27This is a dying skill.
22:29The declining quality of our films and TV shows
22:32can be partially attributed to the inability
22:35of many new writers to focus.
22:37So if you can master it,
22:38then you could be making some serious bag.
22:41Secondly, how much money do you need?
22:44I'd give this a one out of five,
22:47as you honestly only need the bare minimum.
22:50Even a cheap phone will do.
22:52This is an ideal side hustle for people
22:54that want to make some instant cash
22:56and not have to worry about ever really
22:58upgrading their equipment.
22:59Thirdly, how easy is it to make $1,000 per month?
23:03I'd give this a one out of five,
23:07as once you've mastered the art of selling
23:09through your writing,
23:10you can make insane amounts of money.
23:12I'm talking over $500 an hour in many cases.
23:16It all depends on how good you are at making connections,
23:19your skill with words,
23:21and how fast you can write.
23:22Some charge as much as $50,000 for just one webpage.
23:27You may be thinking, why so much?
23:29Well, it's all about value.
23:31If you charge $50,000 for a webpage,
23:34and it results in a business monthly sales profit
23:37going from $200,000 to $400,000,
23:41wouldn't you say it's worth it?
23:43It's all about leverage,
23:44making rich clients even richer,
23:47then asking for your slice of the pie.
