00:00Hey everyone, welcome to our channel.

00:02Today, I'm going to tell you the story of a movie about a young Chinese boy who right after arriving in New York,

00:08comes face to face with the toughest street karate fighter in the city, and losing could cost him everything.

00:22While Lee is training at Master Han's Kung Fu School in China,

00:26his mother informs the master that she's decided to move to New York.

00:30And wants to take Lee with her.

00:32Master Han asks her to let Lee stay and finish his training, but Lee's mother has already made up her mind.

00:38Lee overhears the whole conversation from behind the door.

00:42As his mother leaves the gym, Lee stops her and tries to change her mind,

00:46but she tells him she's been offered a job at a hospital and has already accepted, so they'll be moving soon.

00:52A few days later, Lee and his mother arrive in New York.

00:55That evening, Lee goes out to buy something for dinner and finds a pizza place right next to their apartment.

01:01He orders a stuffed crust pizza.

01:03Do you guys have, um, like a stuffed crust?

01:07Oh!

01:07But the shop owner, Victor, mocks him, saying there's no such pizza in New York.

01:13Victor's daughter, Mia, walks in and apologizes to Lee for her father's behavior.

01:18Lee ends up ordering a pepperoni pizza instead and finds himself liking Mia.

01:23The next morning on his first day of school, Lee realizes Mia goes to the same school.

01:28On his way home, he sees Mia in the alley, struggling and needing help.

01:33And Mia recognizes him from the night before, the stuffed crust pizza guy.

01:38He walks her home, helping carry her things.

01:41On the way, Lee notices a karate gym.

01:44When Mia asks why he stopped, Lee says he used to practice kung fu.

01:48Mia begs him never to train at that gym.

01:51As Mia tries to lead Lee away, the gym owner, O'Shea, shows up.

01:54He tells Mia she needs to talk to her father, but Mia replies that her father's business isn't her concern and pulls Lee away.

02:02She explains that O'Shea is owed some money by her father, which is why she usually doesn't hang around that area.

02:09Meanwhile, inside the gym, O'Shea tells Connor, Mia's ex-boyfriend, that he saw her with another guy

02:15and that she seems to have moved on just fine without him.

02:18On the way back, Lee asks Mia to teach him a bit about living in New York, and in return, he'll help her with her daily errands.

02:26Mia agrees, and they plan to meet again the next day.

02:29The next day, Mia picks Lee up on her electric scooter, but it breaks down on the way, so they take the subway.

02:35On the train, Connor spots Mia.

02:37She asks him not to cause trouble.

02:39Lee, not knowing who Connor is, introduces himself.

02:43As they're getting off the train, Connor suddenly punches Lee in the face, leaving him with a black eye.

02:49They go to the pizzeria, and Victor tries to cover the bruise with some makeup.

02:53But the next morning, the makeup has completely worn off, and Lee's mother notices the black eye.

02:59She tells Lee that now that they're in America, he needs to leave fighting behind.

03:04She even hires a tutor named Alan to help him prepare for college.

03:08The next morning at school, Lee runs into Connor again.

03:11They get into a verbal argument, and Lee attacks him.

03:14But Connor is much stronger and quickly throws Lee to the ground.

03:18Lee remembers a move called the Dragon Kick that he had tried to master back in China.

03:23Seeing no other way, Lee attempts the move, but Connor easily blocks it and knocks Lee down again.

03:30School staff rush in and break up the fight.

03:33Lee feels humiliated by his defeat.

03:35On his way back home, a poster for an underground street fighting tournament catches his eye.

03:40It's an annual event in New York, and Connor's picture is on it as the reigning champion.

03:46Later, while Lee is fixing me a scooter, some thugs attack Victor.

03:50Lee immediately jumps in to help, unleashing his kung fu skills with rapid punches and kicks.

03:56Meanwhile, Victor is on the ground and can't do anything.

03:59The attackers grab sticks and try to fight back, but none of them can match Lee, and they're forced to flee.

04:06Lee helps Victor back into the pizzeria.

04:09Victor admits he borrowed money from some dangerous people and hasn't been able to pay them back,

04:14so they'll probably come after him again.

04:16He asks Lee to teach him kung fu.

04:19At first, Lee doesn't understand what Victor means.

04:22Victor takes him to the storage room and reveals that he used to be a street fighting champion,

04:26but after Mia was born, he quit.

04:30Now he's out of shape.

04:32A new tournament is coming up, and if he can win, he can pay off his debts and maybe save some money for Mia's college.

04:39That night, Lee calls Master Han and explains the situation.

04:43Master Han tells him that if helping someone benefits them, he should do it.

04:47Lee goes back to the pizzeria and agrees to help Victor,

04:50but he warns him that because of his age and slower body, he'll need to train extremely hard to have any chance.

04:57Victor immediately agrees.

05:00They hold a small match in the storage room so Lee can see Victor's skills,

05:04but Victor crashes straight into the wall in the very first move.

05:08Lee realizes they have a long road ahead.

05:11A few hours later, Mia catches them training.

05:14Victor explains his plan to enter the tournament, and Mia yells at both of them for such a reckless idea.

05:21Lee takes responsibility, and when Mia sees her father won't back down, she reluctantly accepts it.

05:28Training continues, and Lee even makes Victor practice while making pizzas to maximize his preparation.

05:34After weeks of intense training, Victor improves significantly.

05:38The day before the tournament, Lee shares the story of his brother with Victor.

05:43Years ago, his brother won one of these street fighting tournaments.

05:47But on the way home, his brother's defeated opponent ambushed them with several others and killed him with a knife.

05:54Lee was frozen in fear and couldn't help his brother.

05:57Later, Mia invites Lee and Alan to a party.

06:00At the party, Lee sees Mia with Connor, and it seems like they've rekindled their relationship.

06:06Before Victor's tournament, Lee tells Mia what he saw.

06:09Mia assures him there's nothing between her and Connor, and it was just a stupid moment.

06:15In fact, she's met someone new and wants to give it a chance.

06:19Lee realizes she's talking about him.

06:21As they're about to kiss, Victor walks in on them.

06:24They panic and try to explain, but Victor says he doesn't want to hear anything about it.

06:29At the tournament venue, O'Shea is also there, betting against Victor.

06:35Victor steps into the ring, and the fight begins.

06:38Victor starts off weak.

06:40His opponent lands heavy punches, cornering him and pounding his face repeatedly.

06:46Victor rallies with a strong punch to escape the corner and starts counterattacking with relentless strikes.

06:53He's about to win when O'Shea tells Victor's opponent to use an illegal move.

06:57The opponent delivers the dirty strike, and Victor becomes dazed.

07:01Lee and Mia protest, but the referee allows the match to continue.

07:05Victor takes one last heavy punch and collapses to the floor.

07:10Mia rushes to help her father, while Lee freezes on the spot,

07:37A few nights later, when he comes home, he feels like someone is inside.

07:42He calls out for his mother, but there's no response.

07:44He grabs a frying pan to defend himself, and suddenly someone jumps out and attacks him.

07:50Lee stumbles into the light switch, turning on the lamp, only to see it's Master Han.

07:55Just then, his mother walks in and is surprised to see Han there.

08:00At dinner, Lee's mother isn't too happy about Han's arrival,

08:04worried it might drag Lee back into fighting.

08:06Master Han finds the street fighting tournament poster in Lee's room.

08:09The next morning, Master Han and Lee visit Victor in the hospital.

08:14Victor tells them he's going to have to sell the pizzeria to pay off his debts.

08:17Master Han quotes a Chinese proverb,

08:20But Victor doesn't really understand what he means.

08:25Master Han tells Lee that Kung Fu alone won't be enough to win that tournament,

08:29and he needs to learn karate as well.

08:31Lee has two days to find a place to train,

08:34so that within 10 days, he can be ready for the fight.

08:36During those two days, Master Han travels to Japan to visit one of Master Miyagi's students.

08:43Daniel at first thinks Han came to see Master Miyagi,

08:46and tells him that Miyagi passed away some time ago.

08:49But Master Han explains he came to see himself, and asks him to train Lee.

08:53Daniel respectfully refuses Han's request.

08:57Then Han shows him a photo of himself with Master Miyagi.

09:00As he's leaving, he tells Daniel that they'll see each other in New York.

09:03Daniel insists he has no plans to go to New York,

09:07but Master Han is sure that he will, and then leaves.

09:11Meanwhile, Lee tells Alan he needs to find a place to train.

09:15Alan shows him a small garden he's built for himself on the rooftop.

09:19Lee says it's perfect for training.

09:21The next morning, Lee's intense training begins.

09:25Master Han shows no mercy, pushing him to the brink of exhaustion.

09:29Then, Daniel arrives.

09:31Master Han is thrilled to see him.

09:33Daniel tells him that no Kung Fu student can truly master karate in just a week,

09:39but after witnessing Lee's potential, he changes his mind.

09:43Daniel starts with simple movements, while Master Han pushes him even harder.

09:48At the same time, Connor is training relentlessly as well.

09:52One day, Mia delivers a pizza order to a rooftop, and finds Lee there.

09:57They sit together and talk for hours.

09:59Lee tells her he plans to enter the street fighting tournament.

10:03Mia thinks he's doing it just for her father, and tries to convince him not to.

10:07But Lee tells her it's not only about that, he's doing it for himself.

10:21Lee regains his composure, lands a series of strikes, and knocks him out, winning the first round.

10:26The next day, he defeats another opponent, moving one step closer to facing Connor.

10:32Connor also defeats all his opponents and advances to the finals.

10:36Lee wins his semi-final match.

10:38O'Shea's men are there too, thinking Lee might cause trouble for them.

10:41They move to rough him up, but Master Han and Daniel step in and protect him.

10:46Before the final match, Daniel feels uneasy about Connor, and doubts Lee can beat him.

10:51When Lee tells him about what happened at school, Daniel suddenly gets an idea.

10:57Daniel says Lee should use the dragon kick again, but this time, they know how Connor will defend,

11:02and they can use that against him.

11:03They head to the subway station, and Daniel explains that if Lee lowers his leg at just the right moment

11:09during the move, he can strike Connor and finish the fight.

11:13Lee starts practicing and fails repeatedly, but eventually, he perfects the technique.

11:18As Lee prepares for the finals, his mother comes to him, wishes him luck, and tells him

11:24that if his brother were alive, he would be so proud of him.

11:28The final match begins.

11:29Both fighters enter the arena.

11:31The match starts.

11:33Lee goes on the offensive first, but Connor deflects it easily and scores two points.

11:38Then Connor attacks again and racks up two more points.

11:41Lee is in pain and falls to the ground.

11:44Despite the pain, Lee rises, regains his focus, and starts circling Connor calmly.

11:51This time, he strikes with greater speed and lands his first point.

11:56Connor loses his temper and launches a full-force attack, but Lee blocks everything with precision

12:01and keeps scoring until the match is tied at 4-4.

12:04They both attack with all their strength.

12:07They get up again and both leap into the air at the same time.

12:10In midair, Connor's foot hits Lee's head, knocking him out cold.

12:15When Lee opens his eyes again, he sees the referee counting him out.

12:19Lee remembers Victor's defeat and that memory fuels him.

12:22He summons all his remaining strength and stands back up.

12:26Now it's time for the dragon kick.

12:29Lee takes a deep breath and charges at Connor.

12:32Connor recognizes the old move and tries to defend the way he did before.

12:36But just as Lee planned, Connor falls for the trap.

12:39Lee lowers his leg at the perfect moment and lands a powerful strike, knocking Connor to the ground.

12:45Lee scores the final point and wins the match.

12:48The fight is over, but Connor attacks Lee from behind in a cheap shot.

12:52Despite everything, Lee shows respect.

12:55He helps Connor back to his feet.

12:57Everyone rushes into the arena and embraces Lee.

13:01The crowd is overjoyed.

13:02After that day, Lee's name spreads everywhere.

13:06Victor's Pizzeria becomes more popular than ever, and they even add a new pizza to the menu.
