Caroline Willgoose speaks to The Star about Harvey's legacy and how hard the process has been on the family.
Transcript
00:00I want him to be known as the kid he were. I hate that saying, Harvey Will goes to the pupil that was stabbed to death at school. He'd hate that. I want him to be remembered as the fun-loving kid, cheeky chapé, sociable kid that he were.
00:19And how's this process been for you? It must have been really difficult.
00:23It's shocking. Terrible. I don't go up into the gallery. I sit in the family room. I just can't stand listening to it and CCTV. Well, I haven't looked. But family's had to look. And coming down the broker, who wants to see that?
00:47And he could have just admitted it from the beginning.
00:50Yeah, we could have been. It's just torture. It's mental torture. And for what?
01:00How's it been with the police? Have they sort of guided you through what to expect at trial?
01:05Yeah, they tell us, obviously, like, if there's going to be CCTV shown.
01:10And they tell us what story's going to be told and things like that.
01:14So, sometimes Mark's come out as well. You don't want to sit and listen to it.
01:22But I can't listen to any of it.
01:25And then two of my friends, well, Mark's cousin and then my friend, come down.
01:29And I were doing a jigsaw.
01:30And they came down and the faces.
01:35And I think I couldn't go to work.
01:37I couldn't go on Friday because it upset me all night seeing their faces.
01:43What they must have seen.
01:46Horrendous.
01:50It's just so sad.
01:52It is just sad, isn't it?
01:53I just feel so sorry for him.
