00:00Ty, how excited are you for the new season to finally get underway?
00:03Yeah, I mean, it's been an interesting off-season, pre-season for me
00:09because I've never been used to playing playoffs,
00:12playing an extra three, four weeks in the end and then having a month off.
00:16But I've enjoyed it.
00:17You know, pre-season has been good.
00:19New manager, new style of play, new way of playing.
00:22But it's nice to be able to get back to business, you know,
00:26and playing in the league again.
00:27So, yeah, we're all excited.
00:29Have you got over the play-off final yet?
00:32Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:33I mean, obviously it hurts now even when you speak about it and stuff.
00:38And it took me a couple of weeks really to sort of get my head around it all.
00:43But it's only motivation to spur you on again and hopefully do it again
00:48and go on better this season.
00:50So that's what we're all aiming towards.
00:52And, yeah, that's the target.
00:54When you look back now, it was quite the first season,
00:57both for you and the club, wasn't it?
00:59Last year.
00:59How do you reflect on what you managed to achieve both personally and as a team?
01:03For me, it was just, I think it was quite easy to sort of fit into the team style of play.
01:13And, you know, there's a lot of great people, characters that the squad last season for me,
01:18as I've said before, was the best squad I've ever been involved in.
01:21And to get going in that and playing and being an important part of that was something that I sort of relished
01:28and that competition up front, you know, me and Keefe are playing together, one of us will play.
01:32It was, it's what every player needs, you know, that competition.
01:35And I think that helped me go to another level in my game and my career.
01:40And I'm just, you know, grateful for the opportunity that I got last year.
01:43And because previously, the season before, I was probably injured for most of it.
01:49So, you know, to take that sort of gamble was good.
01:52And, you know, I've got a lot of repayment to do to this club, so.
01:59Obviously, Keefe has departed this week.
02:01Rhian's also moved on, a couple of low needs as well.
02:04Is there a little bit more responsibility on your shoulders this season, do you feel?
02:09Yeah, but I feel, personally, I don't feel any different to last season.
02:14You know, every team I go into, I feel a responsibility to score and to do well and to help the team win.
02:20And I back myself and I've always done that since I came into the game.
02:25So, it doesn't really change anything for me.
02:28But I just, with them sort of big characters going, it's made me feel a lot more,
02:33as I've stepped up more as a leader sort of thing.
02:35So, yeah, that's the only thing that's really changed from my side anyway.
02:40Clearly a new boss, new way of playing.
02:43How is your role going to change this year?
02:45Are you looking at maybe being quite adaptable down the middle?
02:49Maybe out wide?
02:52What's Ruben said to you and what are you expecting to be more regular at?
02:57No, I'd imagine I'd be playing strike at the old time.
03:00But if I have to play out wide, I'll play out wide.
03:02I don't really mind.
03:04You know, I don't mind playing wherever for the team.
03:07Even can do a job at left back if I'm needed.
03:09So, no, I'm joking.
03:11But I could actually, I could.
03:12But no, I don't expect to play down the middle, up front.
03:18So, it's a bit of a different way of playing for me.
03:22But I can adapt and I've enjoyed what we've done so far in training and pre-season.
03:27So, I'm excited to take it into the league now.
03:30What are those key differences as a team in terms of what you're used to last season
03:35and what Ruben says is asking you all to do this year?
03:39I think it's just, it's not major changes.
03:42It's just like key details in terms of my starting positions
03:45and where I'm expected to be when we have the ball in different parts of the pitch
03:52and pressing as well.
03:54So, apart from that, it's mainly the same.
03:58You know, there's a lot of good players here
03:59and it's more just trying to get our best players on the ball.
04:02How have you found Ruben since coming in?
04:05Have you gotten well with him?
04:07Do you like his kind of messaging and how he's been around the group?
04:10Yeah, I mean, I don't think, you ask any of the lads
04:12and I don't think anyone can complain about him.
04:14He's a really honest coach.
04:17A good guy to speak to as well on a level and he's honest
04:21and he's told me what he expects from me and what he wants from me
04:24and as a player, I don't think you can ask much more from a manager.
04:30It seems easier said than done from my past experiences,
04:34but my last two coaches have been great
04:37and I can't complain with regards to that, so yeah.
04:40Do you think he can help bring more out of you
04:43that you can take your game on even further
04:45because you've still got plenty of career left, hopefully?
04:49Yeah, 100%.
04:50I mean, he pulled me in his office straight away
04:53and sort of said, I feel like we as a coaching staff
04:57can take your game to the next level in terms of goals
05:00and playing week in, week out, you know,
05:04and that's something for me I want to hear
05:07and I want to be scoring as many goals as I can in the league
05:10and aiming as high as possible, you know, promotion with the team.
05:13So, for me, that's just my motivation.
05:17I want to score goals and I want to help the team do well.
