On official platforms, Ukrainian orphans are displayed like products in an online marketplace.

Full-face photos. Age. Eye color. Health status. Even “obedience level.” Filterable. Sortable. Selectable.

This isn’t care. It’s state-sponsored child trafficking.

Since 2014, children from occupied regions have been systematically abdukted, renamed, and placed with Russian families. Now, with updated laws, Russia can even alter their surnames and birthdays.
This isn’t just illegal—it’s a war crime.

At Save Ukraine, we’ve rescued over 750 children. But thousands are still out there.

No child should be reduced to a clickable profile.

No child should be stripped of their identity and forced to forget who they are. #Russia #Ukraine #RussianWarCrimes #Children #ChildAbduction #RussiaIsATerroristState

00:00Russia refuses to return Ukrainian stolen children.
00:04Instead, it is trafficking them.
00:07In the occupied territories, Russia created a catalog of Ukrainian orphans
00:12where children can be selected like from an online store,
00:18filtered by photo with visible face, age, gender, eye color,
00:23hair color, health condition, and even personal traits.
00:30In the description of the children,
00:32obedience and submissiveness are especially emphasized.
00:37Since 2014, children have been regularly taken from the occupied territories to Russia for adoption.
00:45This is a war crime and child trafficking.
00:49Earlier, Russia tried to cover its tracks, closing registers, removing traces.
00:55Now, they are publicly trading orphans.
01:00A catalog with photos and descriptions is ideal material for child traffickers
01:07searching for products to meet specific demands.
01:12It is an invitation to pedophiles and organized criminal network across Russia.
01:19In 2022, the United States included Russia in the list of countries engaging in human trafficking
01:28practices and policies.
01:31These children have names, families, and Ukrainian identity.
01:36Russia took away their parents through killing and persecution.
01:42The children were given Russian citizenship and now are being displayed like objects for
01:49sale to satisfy the needs of Russian families.
01:53This was made possible by Putin's 2022 changes to Russian legislation, making it easier for Ukrainian
02:00children to get Russian citizenship and be adopted by Russian families.
02:04Under these laws, children's surnames and date of births can be changed.
02:09Ukrainian children are not for sale.
02:13This must stop immediately.
02:15Since 2014, after the seizure of Donbas and Crimea, more than a million children were effectively
02:24taken hostage.
02:25As Ukraine's commissioner for children's rights, I took part in negotiations with Russia about
02:32these children.
02:33The results of those talks are zero because then, just like now, Russia refuses to return
02:40a single abducted child and there are tens of thousands of them.
02:46Each of these children is a victim or witness of war crimes.
02:50We call on the world to help Ukraine return all the children abducted by Russia, especially
02:57the orphans who became hostages after the occupation of our territories.
