Les équipes de National Geographic ont suivi le grimpeur Alex Honnold (héros du film FREE SOLO, Oscar® du meilleur documentaire en 2019) et un groupe d'alpinistes chevronnés mené par l'explorateur Mark Synnott alors qu'ils cherchent une nouvelle route vers un tepui niché au plus profond de la jungle amazonienne, un immense plateau rocheux aux contours abrupts englouti dans les nuages.
