00:04Or how should we think about your capacity to arrest 50 people?

00:07Look, I think, Department of Justice, you know, 3,000 arrests, people say, what a ridiculous number.

00:12Do the math.

00:13We have to arrest 7,000 people every day for the remainder of this administration just to remove the people Joe Biden would have seen.

00:203,000, in my opinion, is not a target.

00:23It's not my target.

00:25But, you know, everybody says 3,000 is ridiculous.

00:28What is, you know, goal?

00:31I'll say look at the numbers.

00:32We can address more than twice as many of that.

00:35Just to remove the people that Biden led in, that's not counting the 12, 15 million already here.

00:39So I don't think anybody's working on a goal of 3,000.

00:43I think I look at the numbers every day, and I think the men and women are just doing a great job.

00:47I hope we get over 3,000 a day when we bring these additional resources on, additional beds, additional transportation contracts.

00:54Because, again, and despite what some of you are all saying, most people arrested aren't criminals.

01:02I look at the numbers.

01:03Every morning, the first thing I do is look at the numbers.

01:05The numbers I looked at this morning, 70% of everybody ICE arrested is a criminal.

01:11But some of you all say, well, they're not criminal enough.

01:15Just the DUI.

01:1610,000 people a year died in DUI.

01:18Bottom line is 70% of everybody ICE arrested is a criminal.

01:23Who's the other 30% that are arrested?

01:26So when you write the stories, why don't we just be honest and tell the whole story?

01:29Many of them are national security threats that don't have criminal history, for most national security threats lay low.

01:35They don't want to encounter law enforcement while they're here.

01:38For instance, over 300 Iranian nationals.

01:40Probably not criminals.

01:42They're not in criminal history, but they're national security.

01:43And they need to be arrested and checking out the streets.

01:47Who are the other ones?

01:48Many of them are final orders.

01:49These are people who have due process at great taxpayer expense.

01:52And a federal judge ordered them removed.

01:55And our job, under statute, is to remove them.

01:58So we find them, we remove them.

02:00May not be criminals, but they have the due process.

02:03The reason we're doing that, because if we don't, we send a message to the whole world.

02:08It's okay to cross the border illegally.

02:10It's a crime, but don't worry about it.

02:12Show up in court or not show up in court and get a final order of removal from a federal judge.

02:17But don't worry about it.

02:18As long as you don't commit another crime, no one's looking for you.

02:21If that's the message we send to the whole world, you're never going to fix this issue.

02:26There are millions of people standing in line doing things the right way.

02:29Taking their tests, doing their background investigation, paying their fees.

02:33They're sitting in the back seat.

02:35Boy, you had 10.5 million illegal immigrants come to the border.

02:38Who, a vast majority of them, were asylum cheaters.

02:41You can call them asylum seekers all you want.

02:43I guess that's an accurate term.

02:44But look at the immigration court data.

02:46Nine out of ten people claim asylum out of the border end up with an order of removal.

02:49They cheated the system ahead of thousands of people in the world who really do need our protection.

02:56They really do need asylum, protect them from their home government.

02:59They're sitting in the back seat.

03:01What the Trump administration is doing, we're enforcing laws and acts by Congress.

03:03President Trump is keeping his promise.

03:05And look at the crime rates already.

03:07Every public safety threat ICE takes off the street makes this country safer.

03:11Every national security threat we take off the street makes this country safer.

03:16Every illegal animal with a final deportation order that we remove sends a strong message to the whole world.

03:22It's not okay to enter this country illegally.

03:24It is a crime.

03:25It is not okay to be here illegally.

03:28And if you're here illegally, you've got a problem.

03:30You should be looking over your shoulder.

03:32It's not okay to be here illegally.

03:33Like it wouldn't be okay for me to be in any other country illegally.

03:36We're enforcing the immigration law.

03:38That's what the American people put President Trump in the office for.

03:41President Trump's success on the border is unprecedented.

03:44We've got the most secure border in the history of the nation today.

03:47I've worked with six presidents, starting with Ronald Reagan.

03:50No one has come close to the success of the Trump administration on border security.

03:55And I looked at the numbers this morning.

03:57Again, over 300,000 repatriations since January when President Trump came in office.

04:02Do the math.

04:03That's historic.

04:04Especially when 70% of those are public safety threats and national security threats.

04:09No one does it better than the man sitting in the White House here, Donald Trump.

04:12And I'm proud, every day when I wake up, I'm proud to work for this president.

04:17Because he's making this country safe again, every day.

04:20And we all see the numbers.
