00:00President Donald Trump has called for the immediate resignation of Intel CEO Lit Bu Tan.
00:05In a post on his Truth Social platform, the president said the CEO of Intel is highly
00:09conflicted and must resign immediately. There is no other solution to this problem. Thank you for
00:14your attention to this problem. Trump's post stems from Tan's involvement with several Chinese
00:18companies, as well as a past criminal case involving a company Tan previously helmed.
00:23And according to a Reuters report, Tan has invested in companies linked to China's military.
00:27Senator Tom Cotton wrote to Intel saying Tan's ties to these companies call into question the
00:32company's security and integrity of Intel's operations and its potential impact on U.S.
00:37national security. The news also comes as Trump says he will impose a 100 percent tariff on chips
00:42made outside of the U.S. Intel has not yet responded to Trump's request. That'll do it for your daily
