It’s not often you and your childhood friend get to become country music stars. In this video, country music artist Dylan Scott shares what it’s like to grow up with Lainey Wilson in the industry and how they got their start in Louisiana.

00:00We've known each other since we were like probably 14 or 15 years old, just playing, you know, the same little festivals down in Louisiana.

00:07Or we used to play this thing at these little theaters with a house band.

00:11And so we would go out and she'd sing a couple of songs and I'd sing a couple of songs.

00:16So, yeah, we spent a lot of time together as kids.

00:18It's really cool to see somebody that you've known for so long from the same part of the country having great success as well.

00:24We see each other out on the road here and there.

00:26And it's just like we were kids again, like, dang, can you believe you're doing this?
