00:03:20I want to play.
00:03:21I want to play.
00:03:22about it but you know let's try to focus on the first idea okay oh okay sure I
00:03:26like to watch all kinds of programs I think I think crime shows are my favorite
00:03:31no I like I like sitcoms what do you want to watch I'm down for anything
00:03:37really okay sure well let's talk about snails then hey remember the doctor
00:03:44wants you to focus on finishing one idea before moving on to the next okay I
00:03:49don't want it well we're gonna have to if you ever want to get better
00:03:57I just want to talk about hey stop it stop it hey it's okay hey look at me I love
00:04:07you okay it's okay
00:04:19you don't hate me
00:04:21of course I don't
00:04:22you and your friends got a lot of time on your hands bro what it's a lot of board games
00:04:48Christ some of those take hours just to set up at least it feels like it no no
00:04:52they're for my they're for my sister she has a she has a condition she gets a
00:04:57little manic sometimes the games just help calm her down to each their own you
00:05:01know ever since our parents died she's 32 65 sorry 32 dollars and 65 cents for the games
00:05:07yeah that should be enough that'll do guess you don't need a bag then
00:05:19Sammy it's me solid noise I'm making dinner for us and Rebecca shoot don't forget about that
00:05:38you really don't have to do that I know but I want games mm-hmm there's so many uh-huh you can play
00:05:47whichever one you want after dinner okay yeah dinner yeah yeah oh this one looks like fun
00:05:52hey Sylvia hey dinner okay I'm on it I'm on oh look at this one look at this one hey Sylvia
00:05:59just seemed really narcissistic and I wanted to go with something kind of a
00:06:28unassuming and Jeremy seemed to fit the bill where'd you come by this recipe I saw it on TV
00:06:35like a cooking show no it was on it was on grandpa Floyd's pickle patch that's a cartoon show
00:06:43you don't like it calm down it's fantastic you don't have to lie to me I know you don't like it I
00:06:57I know you don't you don't you don't you don't you don't know what you're missing just try a bite
00:07:02it's really good
00:07:03I worked so hard on it
00:07:09it's sensational
00:07:13oh you two must have colds here's something this is this is horrible I'm gonna make something
00:07:31different tomorrow night I'm gonna go get a granola bar set up a game for me sure hey grab
00:07:37one for me too okay you want one as well oh yes please sorry no sweat you know I'm crazy about her
00:07:48right has there been any kind of development since she's been seeing the new therapist well she hasn't
00:07:55had a major outburst in a couple months but you know I'd just be happier she can walk outside again
00:08:00give it time all you can do all this can make it a little difficult to concentrate on writing
00:08:06you know you're doing great you're a great brother so many people would have just sent her away by now
00:08:12you won't give up on her you're amazing it's just really frustrating now the advance for the novel is
00:08:20the only thing keeping the lights on around here you know and as crazy as it seems the powers that be
00:08:24actually expect some sort of writing for the money they gave me it'll get better I know it
00:08:37are you sure you don't want me to take off I know how you like to work in your home at night
00:08:40it's fine I'll just work out later
00:08:42hey Sylvia you want me to play around with that with you
00:08:45no thank you it's funner this way
00:08:47and the doctor no it's it's fine if that's how she prefers it it's supposed to be a good
00:08:52way to keep her you know focused then I'll try not to be too offended
00:08:55I won that's awesome good job so what would you like to play next
00:09:04it's a a Ouija board well it's actually pronounced Ouija but yeah it's a little different from the
00:09:20games you have been playing so how do you win well there's no winning exactly but if you can't win
00:09:28then how do you play well you you talk to ghosts with it Sammy I know my brain doesn't work right
00:09:37but I'm not dumb no you're not does it work for real well I don't know how it works exactly but see
00:09:46the fun part is seeing how the little pointer thing moves supposedly on its own
00:09:50and answers you get to your questions questions mm-hmm yeah check this out so
00:09:56what you do is it put your fingers on the pointer like this and then you ask the
00:10:00board questions and then spirits guide this pointer around and it spells out
00:10:06the answers to whatever you ask it is it a scary game yeah I guess so are those fingers up for
00:10:24anything a little more exciting than a Ouija board I'm sure they can manage
00:10:29.
00:10:40.
00:10:48.
00:10:52Spirits,
00:11:19Spirits, what do you think about soda?
00:11:26Okay, okay, that might have been a little open-ended.
00:11:32Spirits, do you like chalk?
00:11:38Okay, I might have come on a little strong there.
00:11:44Okay, um, Spirits, what in the hell is a crumpet?
00:11:50I mean, is it something you eat?
00:11:53It sounds like a kind of food.
00:11:56Oh, that's a good question.
00:11:58Spirits, do you eat food when you're a ghost?
00:12:02Oh, fine, I didn't want to talk to you anyway.
00:12:09Goodbye.
00:12:11Bye.
00:12:14Bye.
00:12:22Bye.
00:12:28Bye.
00:12:33Bye.
00:12:35Bye.
00:12:37What else?
00:13:07Why did she leave me here?
00:13:33Don't you love me anymore?
00:13:35I don't need to be here, Sammy.
00:13:37Don't hug me or keep me safe.
00:13:41All I do is take the crazy out of me.
00:13:44It hurts.
00:13:45I just want Mommy and Daddy.
00:13:47I can be good.
00:13:49It hurts.
00:13:51It hurts!
00:13:53It hurts!
00:14:01Jesus.
00:14:05Good morning. How did you sleep?
00:14:19Great. Just great. And you?
00:14:21I slept... okay.
00:14:29Anything you want to ask me?
00:14:31I don't think so.
00:14:33Nothing about... a game?
00:14:37The Ouija board, sorry.
00:14:39Yeah, uh, how'd the session go?
00:14:41Horrible.
00:14:42Ghost didn't answer boo.
00:14:44I'm sorry.
00:14:45I mean, I asked all the hard-hitting questions and I did not get a single vibration on the planchette.
00:14:51Planchette.
00:14:52Sure.
00:14:53Well, maybe the ghosts were just shy.
00:14:55You know how you find it difficult to talk to people you don't know?
00:14:58Yeah.
00:14:59Maybe the ghosts were the same way.
00:15:02Yes! I bet you're right!
00:15:04Here's my suggestion.
00:15:05I think you should try even harder tonight.
00:15:08And maybe even start earlier.
00:15:10That's a great idea!
00:15:11Maybe see if one of the spirits can read a book.
00:15:25Come on, spirits. Nothing to be afraid of here.
00:15:27Just good ol' Sylvia.
00:15:31Alright.
00:15:32Come on, guys.
00:15:34Ghosts and goblins.
00:15:35Well, okay, not goblins.
00:15:37But ghosties!
00:15:38Come on, come on, come on.
00:15:39Talk to me.
00:15:46My parents.
00:15:50Those are some spirits that wouldn't be afraid to talk to me.
00:15:55Okay, okay.
00:15:56Spirits.
00:15:58Are my parents there?
00:16:00Mom?
00:16:03Dad?
00:16:05Please.
00:16:06Say something.
00:16:08Mom?
00:16:09Dad?
00:16:11Why won't you talk to me?
00:16:12Come on.
00:16:13Please.
00:16:14Please.
00:16:15Please.
00:16:16Please.
00:16:17Say something.
00:16:18Why won't you talk to me?
00:16:19Why won't you talk to me?
00:16:20Come on.
00:16:21Please.
00:16:22Please.
00:16:23Please.
00:16:24Please.
00:16:25Say something.
00:16:26Please.
00:16:27People.
00:16:29incerely.
00:16:34Things.
00:16:35You were guilty.
00:16:36They were guilty.
00:16:37Will you talk to me?
00:16:38They were guilty.
00:16:39They were guilty.
00:16:41They were guilty,
00:16:53And how about your ability to go outside?
00:17:00How has that fared since our last session?
00:17:03Still fearful?
00:17:06Well, I tried to go to the mailbox a couple times last week,
00:17:09but the thought of going outside was just too much to handle.
00:17:13And how does it make you feel?
00:17:15I don't really think about it most of the time.
00:17:19Well, is this an area we need to focus on right now?
00:17:22Do you think being around other people is a good thing for you?
00:17:25Well, I am around other people.
00:17:27You are?
00:17:28Yeah, I see Sammy all the time.
00:17:31Yes, but we're talking about benefits upon your psyche through conversations with people, not your direct relation.
00:17:36Well, Sammy's girlfriend Rebecca comes over sometimes. Does that count?
00:17:41We'll come back to this next time.
00:17:44Anything else been bothering you?
00:17:48I've been frustrated.
00:17:51Frustrated? How so?
00:17:54I think Sammy doesn't like my cooking.
00:17:57I mean, he does so much to help us keep this place and all.
00:18:01And I try to help too, but sometimes I just screw up.
00:18:06And then Sammy gets mad.
00:18:08It makes me so anxious and frustrated and I lose control.
00:18:18And those pills you gave me are the only thing that help.
00:18:21It's only natural for one to get upset after feeling about being valued.
00:18:24The key here is to channel that frustration and speak to the person who got you upset, instead of allowing yourself to fall into an unending tantrum.
00:18:34I understand, Doctor. I really do. Do you like pork?
00:18:39Yes, I do, Sylvia, very much.
00:18:43I'm going to need your focus right now, okay?
00:18:46Do you need to try one of those mindfulness exercises we talked about last time?
00:18:52No, I think I'll be fine.
00:18:54Okay. Let me know if you lose focus, okay?
00:18:57Will do.
00:19:01Have you tried the board games again?
00:19:03Oh, yeah. Sammy brought a whole new stack of them last week.
00:19:07And has the solo play allowed you to keep focus throughout the entire game?
00:19:11Yeah, um, except, um...
00:19:14Except?
00:19:16The Ouija board. That one's got me agitated.
00:19:20Agitated?
00:19:22Yeah.
00:19:24Those darn ghosts just don't want to talk to me.
00:19:28I think the key thing to remember, Sylvia, is that it's just a game.
00:19:33There aren't real ghosts.
00:19:35The game works to the power of the imagination.
00:19:38For some.
00:19:39The thrill of being scared.
00:19:41No ghosts?
00:19:42None.
00:19:47I thought my parents just didn't love me anymore.
00:19:50Sylvia, wherever your parents are, they love you very much.
00:19:53And I know they're proud of the progress we're making here.
00:20:02Let's call it out for today, shall we?
00:20:04See you in a few days, okay?
00:20:06Okay. Thank you, doctor.
00:20:08You're welcome, Sylvia.
00:20:10In the meantime, I'd like to focus more on the other games your brother's got you.
00:20:13And I'd like you to keep your emotions as even as possible.
00:20:16Okay. It's not like I'm fixated on it anyway.
00:20:20Good. Good. Well, you should be aware of such things.
00:20:23And, uh, how are your meds? Are you needing a script?
00:20:26Nope. I've still got plenty.
00:20:28Okay. Excellent.
00:20:29Well, then the last thing is just a matter of your insurance.
00:20:32It appears your insurance provider's not going to pay for our sessions here.
00:20:37If you get it to your brother, he'll take care of it.
00:20:39Okay. Will do.
00:20:43It's a beautiful day out.
00:20:49I don't know. It looks kind of cold.
00:20:52Only a little.
00:20:55Wouldn't you like to be outside with other girls?
00:20:59Soon, Sylvia.
00:21:01We'll be there soon. Take care.
00:21:03Thank you. You too.
00:21:11I really hope you like it.
00:21:12I know how much you like cheese, so I added a little extra.
00:21:16Yeah, I'm sure it's just fine, Sylvia.
00:21:19So, what's that letter about?
00:21:21The doctor said that it was something about insurance
00:21:24and that you'd know what to do with it.
00:21:26Yeah, I'm starting to figure it out.
00:21:29So, this therapist you're seeing, he's helping, right?
00:21:34Oh, my God. Yes.
00:21:36I have never felt better than after today's session.
00:21:40Good.
00:21:42Now, I hate to say it, but I think I'm going to have to get a job.
00:21:46Just until the novel's finished.
00:21:48Oh, that'll be fun.
00:21:49You can go out and you can meet people and make friends.
00:21:53I would love to do that.
00:21:57Yeah, yeah.
00:21:58No, I'm sure it'll be a party.
00:22:00Look, are you going to be okay being a little bit more alone during the day?
00:22:05Of course. Of course.
00:22:06I'll play games and I'll watch TV and cook, of course.
00:22:12Yeah.
00:22:14So...
00:22:16So what?
00:22:19Are you going to eat any?
00:22:22Yeah, yeah.
00:22:31Are there cranberries in this?
00:22:33Uh-huh.
00:22:35Surprised?
00:22:36Very.
00:22:37Yes!
00:22:38A TV surprise all gotten is a success!
00:22:41If surprise is how you measure success, I'd say you hit a home run there, so...
00:22:44Yay!
00:22:46I love you.
00:22:47I love you, too.
00:22:49I love you.
00:22:50I love you.
00:22:51I love you.
00:22:53I love you.
00:22:54I love you.
00:22:55I love you.

00:22:59Thanks.

00:23:01something on your mind no yes kind of spill well you've spent a lot of time getting this game all
00:23:19set up and I know you've spent a lot of money on all of these games but I think the Ouija board's
00:23:27my favorite even though you haven't talked any ghosts yet well I'm not sure that there are any
00:23:33ghosts and my doctor certainly doesn't seem to think they exist but the idea that there there
00:23:42might be ghosts is the fun of it you can like what you like there's no shame in that I just I didn't
00:23:47want you to think that I don't like or appreciate all of the games that you got for me it's okay I'm
00:23:53just happy you're happy so I I cannot play this one then I can just go upstairs and play the Ouija

00:30:13Uh, really well, actually, I think.
00:30:15I have another interview tomorrow.
00:30:17Are you going to be okay being by yourself?
00:30:19I won't be by myself.

00:34:58Sammy loved it.
00:34:59He cleaned his plate.
00:35:00That's just aces, Dolly.
00:35:02Just aces.
00:35:04Can we play again sometime soon?
00:35:05Absolutely.
00:35:06I've got a real ring-a-ding meal that'll top that last one.
00:35:10I just gotta head down to your pantry and make sure you got the goods.
00:35:13Then I'll give you the rules.
00:35:15Yay!
00:35:17Ah, what the hay.
00:35:18Let's say we don't wait and head down to the kitchen later and play another cooking game.
00:35:23We can follow the rules and whip them up a breakfast that we used to wolf down.
00:35:27Well, before we went to the big casino, that is.
00:35:31I would love that.
00:35:32Sammy does so much for me and I, I, I just want to do something for him in return.
00:35:38Oh, you're just platinum, pussycat.
00:35:40Platinum.
00:35:41Well, it's time for me to go now.
00:35:45Ciao.
00:35:47You're leaving so soon?
00:35:48I'm afraid so.
00:35:50But maybe when we're friends longer, these visits can be longer.
00:35:54I would really love that.
00:36:09Boo!
00:36:11You scared the life out of me.
00:36:13I know how that feels.
00:36:15Yeah, so, so what are you up to anyway?
00:36:19Just hoping you could play is all.
00:36:21Oh, I, I like that.
00:36:22What do you have in mind?
00:36:24What about drop spindles?
00:36:26I'm afraid I don't know what that is.
00:36:29Oh.
00:36:30Well, we could play Game of Graces.
00:36:33We could go outside.
00:36:35I, I don't know what that is either.
00:36:39Outside.
00:36:41Oh, that's okay.
00:36:43I can't go outside either.
00:36:46Um, what about hide and seek?
00:36:48I know that one.
00:36:50Who hides first?
00:36:51Me.
00:36:52I'll hide first.
00:36:53Now cover your eyes and count.
00:36:55And remember, no peeking.
00:36:58Got it.
00:36:59Okay.
00:36:59Five, four, three, two, one.
00:37:06Ready or not, here I come.
00:37:07You're getting colder.
00:37:24Ice cold.
00:37:26I'll give you a hint.
00:37:46I smell food.
00:37:48The kitchen.
00:37:52Milk, milk, wherever you are.
00:37:54Where are you?
00:37:59Holy hell, Syl.
00:38:00What's all this?
00:38:01It's an 18-karat breakfast for a real big liter.
00:38:04You've been to Vegas in the last 24 hours?
00:38:06What?
00:38:07I've never heard you use phrases like those.
00:38:09My friend's been teaching him to me.
00:38:12Your friend Dean Martin?
00:38:15Silly Sammy.
00:38:16No, I've just, I've been watching a lot more TV than usual lately.
00:38:20And the people on those shows are, they're like friends to me.
00:38:25Especially since I can't go out and make real friends of my own.
00:38:28I know.
00:38:29But hey, I mean, you'll get there soon, okay?
00:38:32I mean, look how much progress you've made this past week alone.
00:38:35I'm going to try my best.
00:38:37I know you will, Syl.
00:38:38So I'm so proud of you.
00:38:39Good God, this is delicious.
00:38:47We're two for two, huh?
00:38:48You bet.
00:38:49Hey, look, I've got to run, but I'm going to eat this on the road, okay?
00:38:52All right.
00:38:53Love you.
00:38:55How's it hanging, Toots?
00:38:57Um, great.
00:38:59Cool.
00:38:59Hey, you got anything to drink around here?
00:39:02Yeah, we've got water and coffee and we've got some juice.
00:39:06No, I was talking about something a little bit harder.
00:39:13Harder?
00:39:14Yeah, like booze.
00:39:16Oh, oh, yes.
00:39:17Sammy's got some upstairs.
00:39:19He doesn't know that I know about it, but he has it every night.
00:39:23He smells like it in the morning.
00:39:25Maybe he's not such a spaz after all.
00:39:28You and I are going to play a game.
00:39:31Okay, I want you to pretend that you're a secret agent and you are in enemy territory
00:39:37and you're going to get a secret potion called Agent Booze.
00:39:43Yeah?
00:39:51What are you doing with that?
00:39:53Sammy!
00:39:54It was for, it was for my...
00:39:56Your what?
00:39:57It was for me.
00:39:59It was for me.
00:40:02I see you drinking it all the time, so it's gotta be good.
00:40:06Trust me, you don't want that, okay?
00:40:09You're not in any trouble, okay?
00:40:12I'm just going to take this with me.
00:40:14Have a good day.
00:40:19Lame.
00:40:19I knew he was a real spaz.
00:40:21No, no.
00:40:22Sammy is just watching out for me.
00:40:25You've got to learn to be your own person.
00:40:28Kick it against the pricks and all that.
00:40:30I don't know about all that.
00:40:32Well, I do.
00:40:35My doctor's here.
00:40:36Hey, you've got to look out for that guy.
00:40:39He's a major creep.
00:40:41No, no, no.
00:40:42Mr. Rose is a kind man.
00:40:44He makes me feel good.
00:40:45I think he wants to make you feel good in a very, very different way.
00:40:51If you catch my drift.
00:40:54I gotta go, but you need to keep your eyes on that guy.
00:40:59How are you?
00:41:00I'm good, Sylvia.
00:41:00And you?
00:41:01Just peachy.
00:41:02Good, good.
00:41:03You ready to begin?
00:41:04Okay.
00:41:06Let's see.
00:41:07Where were we last time?
00:41:10Board games and the insurance.
00:41:12Let's start with a board game, shall we?
00:41:15How has that been going?
00:41:17It's been going great.
00:41:19I have made a ton of new friends.
00:41:21Friends?
00:41:22Well, friends in my mind.
00:41:25They're practice friends for when I really meet real ones.
00:41:29That's actually a very positive change.
00:41:31I've also been making a lot of friends on TV.
00:41:35They help me make recipes for Sammy.
00:41:38Delicious ones.
00:41:40You've been watching cooking shows.
00:41:41Yeah.
00:41:44Well, I must say, Sylvia, watching shows like that and then successfully replicating them
00:41:48is another huge step forward, especially when it alleviates some of the tension you spoke
00:41:53about last time.
00:41:54I must say, I'm very impressed.
00:42:00And what about the Ouija board?
00:42:02Have you listened to your play with that?
00:42:04Oh, yeah.
00:42:04I haven't even touched it.
00:42:06Good.
00:42:06Well, then, I guess the last thing to talk about is the insurance.
00:42:11Were you able to talk to your brother about that?
00:42:13I did.
00:42:14He's been out looking for a day job to cover the cost of my sessions.
00:42:18Oh.
00:42:21That's unfortunate.
00:42:23Yeah.
00:42:23I miss him around during the daytime.
00:42:27He's gone all day now?
00:42:36Sylvia, remember the hug you gave me last time?
00:42:40Uh-huh.
00:42:41Could I have another one of those?
00:42:43Sure.
00:42:43I think we're done for the day.
00:43:06Are you okay, doctor?
00:43:08I don't feel well.
00:43:09I don't feel well.
00:43:13We'll reschedule another time.
00:43:17Feel better soon.
00:43:21You shouldn't let him touch you like that.
00:43:24It's bad.
00:43:26Bad?
00:43:26It was just a hug.
00:43:28He wanted to go further than that.
00:43:31How do you know?
00:43:32He left his notebook behind.
00:43:34I saw what he drew.
00:43:35Take a look for yourself.
00:43:37I don't even know what that is, but I know it doesn't make me feel good.
00:43:50You have to show this to your brother when he comes home.
00:43:54Tell him who drew it.
00:43:56He'll know exactly what to do.
00:43:58Won't he want to thank you for letting us know that Dr. Rose is a bad man?
00:44:03Just tell him that the doctor hugged you and that he left his notebook behind.
00:44:17I know.
00:44:19Let's do a super secret handshake to show that we're best friends.
00:44:23Okay, okay.
00:44:24Put her there.
00:44:25And go like this and pull it.
00:44:28Keep up, keep up, keep up, keep up.
00:44:30Up top.
00:44:31Up top.
00:44:31Yeah.
00:44:35How do you know so many bad things?
00:44:38You're just a little girl.
00:44:42You ready to try another hot dish for that little clam bake you got tonight, Dolly?
00:44:46Sounds like a real ring-a-ding time.
00:44:49Now you're talking.
00:44:50Let's go, go, go.
00:44:52Wow, so it smells amazing.
00:45:01I'm glad you think so.
00:45:04Damn.
00:45:05I don't know how you've done it, but you've become one of the best chefs in the world.
00:45:07Just another great cooking show is all.
00:45:12Oh, so how'd your, uh, how'd your therapy session go?
00:45:17Something wrong?
00:45:19What's this?
00:45:21It's Dr. Rose's notebook.
00:45:22He left it behind.
00:45:26Did he touch you?
00:45:27No, no, no, he, he just gave me a really long hug and then he said you didn't feel well and he, he left really quick.
00:45:33I'm gonna call his goddamn office right now and have that bastard arrested.
00:45:36Well, maybe we could just find a different therapist.
00:45:38What do you don't understand?
00:45:43Hey, not bad, kid.
00:45:45You got that creep red-handed.
00:45:47Still doesn't feel right is all.
00:45:48Like, why?
00:45:49Maybe it was just a big misunderstanding.
00:45:52Misunderstanding my ass.
00:45:53That creep would have been all over you.
00:45:56You think so?
00:45:57I know so.
00:46:00Still.
00:46:01Well, Dr. Rose has been seriously resigned from the practice today.
00:46:05This is not over.
00:46:06Well, let's just, just put it out of our minds for tonight and just have dinner.
00:46:09I'm so mad.
00:46:11No.
00:46:11You know, I left you alone with that bastard and then you-
00:46:13Calm down, okay?
00:46:14Don't.
00:46:15No butts.
00:46:17Just sit at the table.
00:46:17Rebecca's on her way.
00:46:22Yeah.
00:46:24Yeah, you're right.
00:46:26We have this, we have this deliciousness to look forward to.
00:46:29Yeah.
00:46:30Yeah, we do.
00:46:37So, your bro Squeeze is coming over for dinner tonight.
00:46:40Yeah.
00:46:41Her name's Rebecca.
00:46:42She's really nice.
00:46:44I don't think she's the peach you think she is.
00:46:46Really?
00:46:47Nah.
00:46:49I bet she wouldn't like anything more than to have your bro all to herself.
00:46:54I bet she wants to see you sent away.
00:46:57And I've got the perfect game to prove it.
00:47:00I don't think that's a good idea.
00:47:02Well, was I wrong about the therapist?
00:47:05No.
00:47:06You bet your ass I wasn't.
00:47:07And I'm not wrong about this, either.
00:47:11Trust me, kid.
00:47:12Trust me.
00:47:13Time to prove it.
00:47:17No.
00:47:17Babe.
00:47:22Oh, wow.
00:47:22Wow.
00:47:23Samie said you'd really been pulling out all the stops with your cooking, but that doesn't
00:47:33do justice to how good this really is. Thanks.
00:47:41Something wrong? No.
00:47:45Is it that business with your doctor? No.
00:47:49I'm so sorry. You really don't deserve it.
00:47:53I'll get it. You too enjoy.
00:48:03Get up, whore.
00:48:05What did you just say?
00:48:07I know what you're planning with my brother.
00:48:09You little bitch.
00:48:11You can't have him.
00:48:13I'll kill you before you do it.
00:48:15Sam!
00:48:17She is out of control.
00:48:19What are you talking about?
00:48:21She's insane. She's worse than what we thought.
00:48:23You're overreacting. She had an accident.
00:48:25She's dangerous.
00:48:27Look, we're not going to help them get out.
00:48:29I can't do this anymore. What do you want me to do?
00:48:31You wouldn't have her locked up. You wouldn't have her committed.
00:48:33I don't know.
00:48:35Maybe.
00:48:37Yes.
00:48:39Get out!
00:48:47It's okay. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
00:48:49No, no, no.
00:48:51You have nothing to apologize for.
00:48:53Okay? I'm here.
00:48:55I'm here for you, okay?
00:48:57I love you too, brother.
00:48:59I love you too.
00:49:15Why so sad, friend?
00:49:19It just...
00:49:21It just didn't feel right.
00:49:23You heard what she said.
00:49:25She wants your brother to send you away.
00:49:27They probably think you're out of control.
00:49:31Maybe I am.
00:49:33I don't know what came over me.
00:49:37I took the game too far.
00:49:39Rebecca was my friend too.
00:49:41Well, you do have us.
00:49:43We're your friends.
00:49:45And we wouldn't do anything to hurt you like she would.
00:49:49I know, and that makes me so happy.
00:49:51It makes all of us happy too.
00:49:53You're the only friend we have.
00:49:57The only one?
00:49:59Yeah, there was another, but now it's just you.
00:50:03What happened to the other one?
00:50:05We finished our game.
00:50:07What game was that?
00:50:09Oh, it's a fun one.
00:50:11It's a fun one.
00:50:13I love the games we've been playing with you.
00:50:15I do like the games.
00:50:17Even if they turn out crummy sometimes.
00:50:19Well, sometimes the bad parts
00:50:21are just part of the overall bigger game
00:50:23that we're already playing together.
00:50:25A bigger game.
00:50:27Is there a way to win?
00:50:29Yup.
00:50:30We always win though.
00:50:31We're really good at the game.
00:50:33And we've been playing it for a long, long time.
00:50:39Well, as long as it's fun at least.
00:50:41Oh, it's fun.
00:50:43You'll see.
00:50:45Lolly?
00:50:47See?
00:50:49You're having fun already.
00:50:51Candy makes everything better, doesn't it?
00:50:55Just a bit of fun.
00:51:11Bye everyone.
00:51:13Look, I know you just need some time to think things over.
00:51:40But I just wanted to call and let you know how sorry I am for what happened.
00:51:52And I think you might be right.
00:51:59I can't write and look for a job and babysit any longer.
00:52:10Every step she takes forward, she can so easily take a step back.
00:52:20So just call me.
00:52:22Call me when you get a chance, when you're ready.
00:52:28I love you.
00:52:38I'm so sorry.
00:52:54Thank you for calling Glen Gary Assisted Living.
00:53:04Our operating hours are 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
00:53:14No one can take your call at this moment.
00:53:16Take a message out to the town and we'll be happy to get back with you immediately.
00:53:20Thanks a lot.
00:53:31Yeah.
00:53:32Hi.
00:53:33Um.
00:53:34Yeah.
00:53:35I'd like to schedule a consultation.
00:53:38It's all this meal is going to be wow-ee-wow-wow.
00:53:54You look a little down in the dumps.
00:53:55What gives?
00:53:56I'm just thinking about Rebecca.
00:53:57I thought she was my friend.
00:53:58Forget about her.
00:53:59Your brother isn't the first one to be confused by a tomato down for a little hey-hey.
00:54:09I guess.
00:54:10I mean, I think I know what you mean.
00:54:12He was thinking with the brain in his little head.
00:54:15And there's nothing you can do to stop that.
00:54:17It's how we're wired.
00:54:19But anyway.
00:54:20She's out of the picture.
00:54:22So all is Coolsville.
00:54:25And you got all us hip cats to be pals with.
00:54:28And that's the most important thing.
00:54:30Now let's get back to cooking.
00:54:32I really am lucky to have friends like you guys.
00:54:34Now that's the spirit.
00:54:36Hey, Sammy.
00:54:37Hey, Sammy.
00:54:38Breakfast is going to be a little bit late.
00:54:41No, it's okay.
00:54:42Um.
00:54:43Let's just do a breakfast for dinner kind of thing, okay?
00:54:46Do you have another interview?
00:54:48Yeah.
00:54:49Um.
00:54:50Yeah, and then I have one more stop to make and then I'll be home.
00:54:53Where else are you going?
00:54:55No, we're fun.
00:54:56I have to go to the auto parts store and pick up some belts.
00:54:59The car's running kind of funny.
00:55:01Okay.
00:55:02Well, good luck.
00:55:03Thanks.
00:55:16Hello.
00:55:17I'm Jacqueline Bradley.
00:55:18Are you Sylvia Grau?
00:55:19Yeah.
00:55:20I work at the Hanson Psychiatric Hospital.
00:55:22The doctor I interned for.
00:55:24You want me to drop this off?
00:55:26I guess your brother left it when he was visiting this morning.
00:55:29So can you make sure he gets it?
00:55:31Yes.
00:55:33Yeah.
00:55:34No problem.
00:55:35You have a good day now.
00:55:36Okay.
00:55:37You.
00:55:38You too.
00:55:43Man.
00:55:44Psychiatric hospital.
00:55:45It sounds to me like your bro's trying to send you off to the loony bin.
00:55:48No.
00:55:49He wouldn't do that.
00:55:50I don't know.
00:55:51It seems pretty obvious to me.
00:55:54Maybe he's just trying to find me another therapist.
00:55:56Yeah.
00:55:57Maybe.
00:55:58We'll ask him about it when he gets home.
00:56:02Hold on.
00:56:03You could do that.
00:56:05Or we could snoop around and we could look for clues that prove his innocence.
00:56:13You know.
00:56:14You know, like Scooby Doo style.
00:56:16I love Scooby Doo.
00:56:17Where are we going to look for clues?
00:56:19Yeah.
00:56:20Awesome.
00:56:21Okay.
00:56:22Good girl.
00:56:23So.
00:56:24Clues.
00:56:25Upstairs.
00:56:26Upstairs.
00:56:27On his computer.
00:56:28He keeps all kinds of stuff up there.
00:56:30Let's go.
00:56:31Oh crap.
00:56:32I wanted a password.
00:56:35Don't worry.
00:56:36I can fancy any lock, machine, or jukebox.
00:56:45Oh, sorry kid.
00:56:49Believe it.
00:56:52Come on.
00:56:53Let's get you some of those pills.
00:56:55I don't want them.
00:56:58I don't need them.
00:57:02I don't need them.
00:57:05Come on kid.
00:57:06You know you need them.
00:57:16So, how do you think you're going to deal with this?
00:57:19I don't even know.
00:57:20I'm going to have to talk to them and tell them I'm getting better and beg them not to send me away.
00:57:30Nah, I don't think that's cool.
00:57:33What do you mean?
00:57:35Well maybe the best thing to do is act like you're all normal.
00:57:39Why?
00:57:40Well because here soon we're going to give you a few ideas to make our game so much more fun.
00:57:45Really?
00:57:46Yeah.
00:57:47But in order to get the max amount of jollies out of the old game we've got to have the element of surprise on our hands.
00:57:53And to have the surprise we can't let your brother know that we're in on him until later in the game.
00:57:59If you think that's best.
00:58:01You bet your ass I do.
00:58:04Okay.
00:58:05What do I have to do?
00:58:07Well, he's come to expect your whole Julia Childs act so go cook him a delicious dinner.
00:58:14Now go!
00:58:16How was your day?
00:58:26Um, it was fine.
00:58:30What did you do?
00:58:32TV.
00:58:33Games.
00:58:35Cooking.
00:58:37Sounds relaxing.
00:58:41You'd be surprised.
00:58:42How do you mean?
00:58:47How did your, uh, how'd your interview go in the auto parts store?
00:58:53On a veffo.
00:58:58I'm just, uh, I'm gonna go upstairs.
00:59:01You alright?
00:59:02Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just tired.
00:59:05Okay.
00:59:07I'll go ahead and clean up then.
00:59:08I'll probably head to bed early myself. It's been a long one.
00:59:12I, uh, found your cell phone.
00:59:15Oh, great.
00:59:18Figures I left it here.
00:59:19You didn't.
00:59:20Didn't.
00:59:21I mean, you, uh, you didn't take it with you, right?
00:59:23You just left it here at the table.
00:59:25I found it, like, two minutes after you were gone.
00:59:28I would have called you, but, you know.
00:59:32Well, thanks for finding it.
00:59:35What was that for?
00:59:36Surprise me.
00:59:37No.
00:59:38Oh.
00:59:39Let's go.
00:59:41What was that for?
00:59:42It's a big one.
00:59:43What was that for?
00:59:44It's a big one.
00:59:45Oh, I, was going to go outside my house for my garden to you?
00:59:47You look like you could use some more candy.
00:59:48Here you go.
00:59:49You look like you could use some more candy.
01:00:02Here you go.
01:00:04No, we were going to tell you something really important soon.
01:00:10Your friend said you would.
01:00:14I just wanted to let you know that we're your friends and we're going to make everything all better in the end.
01:00:25I really want to believe that.
01:00:27Well, you should because it's true.
01:00:31Why would Sammy send me away? Doesn't he love me?
01:00:36Of course he loves you. He's just confused right now.
01:00:41But pretty soon we're going to play a game that's going to make him see everything much more clearly.
01:00:49Trust me, you'll love it.
01:00:51Have we ever lied to you?
01:00:54No. In fact, everything you've said has been true.
01:00:59And that's not going to change any time soon.
01:01:02Here, have a couple more lollipops. They're like little explosions of fun on a stick.
01:01:09Oh, and this one's for your brother.
01:01:14The blue last band.
01:01:16That's his favorite.
01:01:18I knew it would be.
01:01:20I bet it's going to make his whole day when you give him that tomorrow.
01:01:26Bye for now.
01:01:29I love you.
01:01:34I love you.
01:01:39I love you too.
01:01:41I love you too.
01:01:42I love you too.
01:01:44I love you too.
01:01:45Ah no.
01:01:46Oh.
01:01:47I love you too.
01:01:48Yeah.
01:01:49Whoa, I love you too.
01:01:50I love me too.
01:01:51What y'all let's look anymore.
01:01:52I love you too.
01:01:53What do you mean?
01:01:54Why would you see Kevin?
01:01:55просút Aerown man or his face!
01:02:00I love you too.
01:02:01I'm sure shients.
01:02:02I don't have much time.
01:02:32The dead needs a living to do their bidding.
01:02:39I don't understand.
01:02:44I'm sorry.
01:02:52Yes, hello.
01:02:56Yes.
01:02:58Yeah, yeah.
01:03:00Could I just...
01:03:02Could I just call you later in the week?
01:03:04Okay.
01:03:06Okay, thank you.
01:03:08Bye-bye.
01:03:09Don't forget to give your brother his treat.
01:03:23I know.
01:03:24Yay!
01:03:25It'll make him so happy.
01:03:26Good morning.
01:03:28Good morning.
01:03:29We had so much leftover from dinner last night that I heated you up some extra for today.
01:03:35And there is a special treat inside the bag.
01:03:39The rice is probably my favorite.
01:03:44I know.
01:03:45I didn't know we had treats in the house.
01:03:47It was leftover from last Halloween.
01:03:49I was saving it for a special occasion.
01:03:52Oh yeah?
01:03:53What's the occasion?
01:03:54It's...
01:03:55I love you day.
01:04:00I love you too.
01:04:02I gotta go.
01:04:03I'll...
01:04:04I'll see you at dinner.
01:04:06Hey, Dolly.
01:04:09We got a lot to do to set up the game before your brother gets home.
01:04:12We got a motor.
01:04:19Oh, um, it's you.
01:04:21Hello again, Sylvia.
01:04:22Dr. Brewer from the hospital.
01:04:24He asked me to stop by and do an interview with you just so I can get a better understanding
01:04:28of the nature of your condition.
01:04:29Oh, okay.
01:04:31Uh, do you know how long this is going to take?
01:04:33Oh, no more than ten minutes.
01:04:35Okay, come on in.
01:04:40So I understand that you've had incidents of OCD and anxiety since you were very young.
01:04:45And this worsened your mental health after the death of your parents, correct?
01:04:51All of that's true.
01:04:53Yes, how do you know that?
01:04:56You do know that your brother came to speak to us yesterday, remember?
01:05:00Would you mind if I used the restroom?
01:05:04Go ahead.
01:05:06Sammy!
01:05:07You don't look so good.
01:05:08Yeah.
01:05:09I don't feel so good.
01:05:10Well, I'm sure a little bit of rest is probably all you need.
01:05:13Looks like somebody ate their treat.
01:05:14Is that what did this?
01:05:15Yeah.
01:05:16It's just part of the rules of the game.
01:05:20Are you sure he's going to be okay?
01:05:21Are you sure he's going to be okay?
01:05:22Oh my, yes.
01:05:23This is just a problem.
01:05:24You don't look so good.
01:05:25You don't look so good.
01:05:26I don't feel so good.
01:05:27I'm sure a little bit of rest is probably all you need.
01:05:29Looks like somebody ate their treat.
01:05:40Is that what did this?
01:05:42Yeah.
01:05:43It's just part of the rules of the game.
01:05:45Are you sure he's going to be okay?
01:05:48Oh my, yes.
01:05:49This is just to prepare him for the final round.
01:05:52I'm not sure about the rules of this game.
01:05:55Oh, the lady from the hospital.
01:05:58She's upstairs.
01:05:59She had to use the bathroom.
01:06:00Is that going to mess anything up?
01:06:02Don't worry about her.
01:06:05Let's go to the other room.
01:06:22Well, well, the gang's all here.
01:06:32Whoa, that really did the trick.
01:06:37Are you sure that's necessary?
01:06:40Don't worry about it.
01:06:42You're out of toilet paper.
01:06:45You're out.
01:06:46Now, please.
01:06:48Now it's all.
01:06:49This next part's going to be a little tough.
01:06:51And then things are going to get a little bumpy.
01:06:54But once it's finished, you'll be much more happy.
01:06:59One bullet is for you.
01:07:01The other one's for him.
01:07:03This is my dad's old handgun.
01:07:06I haven't seen this since before he died.
01:07:09Yeah, just another secret he kept from you.
01:07:12I don't like this.
01:07:14I'm scared.
01:07:15Come on, man.
01:07:16You've got to toughen up.
01:07:17This ain't even that bad.
01:07:20Yeah.
01:07:21You want to be with your friends, right?
01:07:24Besides, your brother was just going to throw you away.
01:07:29Throw you away and forget about you like a piece of garbage.
01:07:33That's right.
01:07:34All love he had for you is long gone.
01:07:39We are your friends now.
01:07:41We are your love now.
01:07:43You're going to be like the sister I never had.
01:07:47Yeah.
01:07:48For me too.
01:07:49Won't that be great?
01:07:50Yeah.
01:07:51Okay.
01:07:52What do I have to do?
01:07:53Easy, doll.
01:07:54First you spill his blood.
01:07:55And then yours.
01:07:56All over.
01:07:57On this cuckoo thing right here.
01:07:58Easy with it.
01:08:00Easy with it.
01:08:01It'll do the rest.
01:08:02It won't even hurt either of you.
01:08:03I got to tell you, dolly.
01:08:05You should feel honored.
01:08:07Usually, when we finish the game, we have the other player check out.
01:08:13You're the first person we want to have join us permanently.
01:08:29In the big casino.
01:08:30Does Sammy get to come too?
01:08:32We only want you.
01:08:34But he'll be so much happier where he ends up.
01:08:38It's for the best.
01:08:40Him with his friends and you with us.
01:08:45Who have friends?
01:08:47So many friends.
01:08:49Doesn't that sound like the best thing ever?
01:08:52Yeah.
01:08:53Yeah.
01:08:54Now that's the spirit.
01:08:57The board demands it.
01:09:01Hey!
01:09:02That's not part of the rules of the game.
01:09:07He lied to you.
01:09:11Didn't he promise not to send you away?
01:09:14He talked to the hospital.
01:09:16He was going to try to get rid of you.
01:09:19Maybe that's true, but he did that to make me better.
01:09:24Sammy did everything to make me better.
01:09:26I want you to cut that crap.
01:09:28Stick this bath and hang out forever.
01:09:31Normally, I'd be a good girl.
01:09:40I'd forgive and forget.
01:09:45But not today.
01:09:48Today is my day.
01:09:51Today, I make the rules.
01:09:54Right on.
01:09:55Today, I'm going to make friends.
01:10:01Today, I'm going to be somebody.
01:10:07Today, I'm going to be a little bittersweet.
01:10:10We're going to be a little bittersweet.
01:10:15Well, it's been a real party.
01:10:23But you...
01:10:28...gotta go.
01:10:31Hey, darling, what do you think you're doing?
01:10:43I don't know.
01:10:44You're so smart.
01:10:45You tell me.
01:10:47Don't you want to be our friend?
01:10:50You don't have any friends.
01:10:52All you want to do is hurt us.
01:10:54Totally lame.
01:10:55We just wanted to be your best friends, and you turned on us.
01:10:59Who knew this mouse was going to be a mishplash?
01:11:02We were so close.
01:11:18Sophie, you did it.
01:11:22You took control.
01:11:26I think we should have...
01:11:28I think we should stay somewhere else for a couple days, you know?
01:11:32And I'll find someone to...
01:11:35inspect the place.
01:11:38Yeah.
01:11:39That's a good idea.
01:11:41That means I have to...
01:11:44Go outside?
01:11:48I haven't done that since...
01:11:51Mom's dead's funeral.
01:11:52I don't think I can do this.
01:11:57Well, if it helps make up your mind, I think I really do need to see a doctor.
01:12:02We destroyed you!
01:12:15I am the eldest.
01:12:17The first.
01:12:19Not this time.
01:12:20I'm going out that door, you bitch!
01:12:25We will continue our game soon, friend.
01:12:29Are you okay to drive?
01:12:33No, I don't think so.
01:12:35Now don't worry, I'll ride shock and I'll tell you what to do.
01:12:37It's as easy as riding a bike.
01:12:39I never learned how to do that either, remember?
01:12:41Sorry.
01:12:43None of all the excitement I forgot.
01:12:47You alright?
01:12:49Yeah.
01:12:51I'm okay, it's just...
01:12:53I forgot what outside smelled like.
01:12:57It felt like...
01:13:01I miss this so much.
01:13:05I never want to go back in that place again, ever.
01:13:09I just...
01:13:11I just want to live.
01:13:17I just want to be alive.
01:13:27So what do I do first?
01:13:29Take that key there.
01:13:31Put in the slot and turn it.
01:13:37Yay!
01:13:38Alright, you're halfway there.
01:13:39Now comes the hard part.
01:13:41Not getting us killed?
01:13:43I've been poisoned.
01:13:45Held hostage by...
01:13:47Ghosts I don't even know right now.
01:13:49Not to mention almost shot by my sister.
01:13:51I'm feeling pretty indestructible right now.
01:13:54For the record,
01:13:55I was only pretending I was going to shoot you.
01:13:59Still feeling indestructible.

01:14:43Actually, yes.

01:14:49You know the type.

01:14:54Take your gander at this.
01:14:56It's got some light scorch marks here and there,
01:14:58but it just adds to the ambiance, right?
01:15:00I mean...
01:15:01Sure.
01:15:02Why is it burned?
01:15:03Could it be...

01:15:05That's good.
01:15:06That's a good one.
01:15:07How much...

01:15:14Fifteen?
01:15:15I mean...
01:15:16It's burned.
01:15:17It's missing pieces.
01:15:18That's history, right?
01:15:19I mean...
01:15:20I wouldn't call it damaged.
01:15:21I'd call it...
01:15:22Well-loved.
01:15:23Well-loved or not, man.
01:15:25Like, clearly the previous owner didn't love it too much
01:15:28because they burned it.
