Nick Morton, Jenny Halsey et leur équipe viennent de mettre au jour une momie. Le duo est pour l'heure à bord d'un avion, en train d'escorter la précieuse relique. Mais une nuée de chauve-souris provoque un crash. Nick, pourtant déclaré mort, revient miraculeusement à la vie. Jenny et lui rencontrent alors le docteur Henry Jekyll, spécialiste de l'Egypte ancienne, qui leur raconte les origines de la momie et la malédiction qui lui est rattachée. Il s'agit de la princesse Ahmanet dont l'arrogance lui valut d'être emmaillotée et enterrée vive. Nick et Jenny se retrouvent bientôt les proies de cette Momie vengeresse...
