00:28This is the country that we love. People and generations before us have fought.
00:38Is that better? Yeah. Generations have come before us and fought for this place. And they have fought
00:45against terrible odds. They have fought against dangerous, violent opposition. I am a female
00:53senator. I would not be here had there not been generations and a hundred years of women
00:59fighting on my behalf before me.
01:03So don't for one moment, don't for one moment give up that hope. We cannot. We owe it to our
01:14kids and our grandkids to fight when the chips are down and to do what we know how to do,
01:20right? The country, we love our country. We believe in our country and we want it to be
01:25better. But our country is ill right now. We are ill. And what do we do when we have a loved
01:31one who's ill? I know you all know what to do this. You care for them. You nurse them
01:37back to health. You figure out whatever you need to do to get them back to living life
01:42again. And that is what we are doing right now. That is our responsibility to ourselves,
01:48to our kids, and to our grandkids. So we cannot abide despair. And we cannot accept that while
01:55other generations stood against water hoses and dogs and years and years of disappointment,
02:01we get to give up now. So don't do it. Don't abide it from your friends and from your, your
02:08neighbors. Um, and it's okay if every so often you need to go home, turn off the news and watch
02:15trash television. It's okay. It's okay. Because whatever you need to do to refuel, whatever internet
02:23diet you need to take for a while so that you go to a lake and enjoy yourself and recharge,
02:30you do it, but you come back. You come back to the fight because we owe that to people we
02:35love and to the country we love. So don't give up the ship.
