The government have recently implemented age verification laws online, which mean people have to submit proof they are 18 in order to view some content. They say it’s in order to protect children, but there are concerns that the censorship could go too far.
00:00Personally I think it's a lot of censorship and over the top is to do your parents to curate what underage people can see and I think all information should be free and open to everyone.
00:19I don't think it'll really have much effect because it's easy to get around if you actually want to get around it.
00:26It is a worry that they might get too much control in order to do that and then censor stuff that doesn't necessarily need to be or that we need, that is a fear of that kind of control.
00:40I think it's right to protect children online obviously, however I'm not sure whether this current change of changes are going to be effective.
00:51I'm not sure if that's the solution. I don't know what the solution is but I'm all for protecting children online.
00:58I'm experts at safety owners and events along the way of getting involved in court at safety
