Dans les années 90, la Bosnie est en guerre, et les habitants de la capitale, Sarajevo, subissent un siège violent. Certains des assiégés ont trouvé en la musique un soutien, un espoir, et même une arme. Ce documentaire raconte la rencontre de ces gens avec le militant humanitaire Bill S. Carter et avec le chanteur de U2, Bono, qui prit à l'époque fait et cause pour la Bosnie. Après la guerre, les liens tissés par la musique culminèrent lors d'un concert de réunification.

00:17The Yugoslav army is supposed to protect you, and all of a sudden your protector becomes a monster.

00:26It was really made for trouble.

00:28It was a very bright shining light, Sarajevo, and they needed to kill that light.

00:35Without electricity, running water, the urge for art amplified.

00:41We had this wonderful scene, having a disco in the middle of the war.

00:45It's the only thing that kept us going.

00:48You two, they represent a personification of our resistance.

00:53I thought they were a force of good.

00:55I went to Syria, trying to find my way into an aid organization.

00:58I thought, if I could get Bono, talk to him about these people, maybe we could have a conversation.

01:06Poets, writers, filmmakers, musicians, can inspire people to find the strength and courage to resist.
