00:00Last year and did the Davis Cup as well. What goes through an umpire's mind before such a big clash?
00:30Fence and defence from both players, serving and returning. Djokovic there on full stretch.
00:51And there was a different intensity from Djokovic from his semi-final, wasn't there, against Stanislav Vrinken. That's what he had to give.
00:59He knew he had to be on his guard against Andy Murray. He had to be shot right from the word go.
01:04In fact, they both were. And there wasn't much in it in this tiebreak.
01:09Is that the Maresmo effect? We saw that backhand volley there, Andy being more aggressive with his tennis.
01:16Yeah, he looked to come forwards. He was finishing points off at the net, as was Djokovic.
01:22But again, I mean, the amount of court that was covered between these two.
01:29In the first two sets in particular, Murray got an early break at the start of the second set, but was only immediately broken straight back.
01:38This is another one of their superb points.
01:42It's like shuttle runs on the tennis court.
01:44Yeah, like a bleep turn. Take the bleep turn. I mean, it was breathtaking tennis.
01:47And we were just sitting in here astounded. Jake Garner had a hard time of it. It was a security issue, wasn't it?
01:51Yes, this was up 4-3 in the second set. And there were a few intruders, which actually seemed to help Murray, because then he went on to win the next two games.
02:00There were some, again, more excellent points.
02:13Murray looking to come forwards wherever possible. He just wondered how long they could keep going at each other from the back of the court.
02:21And bearing in mind that, you know, we're looking at a five-set match, a five-set match normally takes about three, three and a half hours.
02:28The first two sets were well over an hour each, so we were stretching it.
02:32Yeah. It was two and a half hours for two sets.
02:34Quite incredible. Andy Murray managing to turn things around there, getting it on the tie break again.
02:41And it was a bit like their 2013 final. They exchanged tie break sets. 6-7, 7-6, and thought, okay.
02:50Here we go again. Are we going here? Yeah, are we going to see? It was a bit of deja vu here.
02:56But this was a huge game in the third set. Murray had his opportunities to break.
03:06And it is worth mentioning, you know, we've spoken about it during the course of the tournament.
03:12Against the top guys, you've got to take your chances.
03:14You've got to take your chances. He had his break points there, wasn't able to take it.
03:18Took his frustrations out on his racket.
03:21And really struggled after that. Just seemed to lose focus, a red miss.
03:26And the histrionics from both parties were setting in as well.
03:30Novak was stretching his quad and complaining of a tight hammy.
03:33And then Andy was getting frustrated as well.
03:35And this is what we're worried about, Andy, that those demons come back to haunt him.
03:39He controlled them so well against Burdick.
03:41But here, he was gesticulating and shouting at his box as he normally does.
03:46But this is an incredible point.
03:48One of the best points of the match. They kept the crowd thoroughly entertained.
03:55But Murray just wasn't able to get back into it.
03:58He lost his way completely.
04:00And he just looked physically and mentally spent.
04:03Yeah, it was nine games on the bounce, wasn't it, for Novak Djokovic.
04:12Championship point, he's a champion once again.
04:15A winner in 08 against Songer, a winner in 2011 against Andy Murray.
04:19He beat Rafa in 2012, Andy Murray in 2013.
04:35Those other people that go to support him and that support the tournament
04:39and make this great championship possible.
04:41And that's for Novak.
04:44Right through the championships, Mark Woodford.
04:47We've had plenty of shots of Novak on his way to and from.
04:50Practice courts always willing to stop and pose for photos.
