00:00Vladimir Putin's private life has long been shrouded in secrecy.
00:07But in recent years, the veil has begun to lift, thanks in part to Elisaveta Krivonugik,
00:13widely believed to be Putin's secret daughter.
00:16Born on 3 March 2003 in St. Petersburg, Elisaveta is the daughter of Svetlana Krivonugik.
00:23Svetlana's relationship with Putin allegedly began in the 1990s, when she was working as a cleaner and living in a communal apartment before moving to housing known for St. Petersburg elites.
00:37Her rapid financial ascent coincided with her alleged relationship with Putin.
00:42While official documents omit Putin's name, his so-called secret daughter Elisaveta carries the patronymic Vladimir Ovna,
00:51signalling daughter of Vladimir, a detail fueling persistent rumours about her lineage.
00:57Initially, Elisaveta led a somewhat public life, flaunting a lavish lifestyle on Instagram under the pseudonym Luisa Ruzova.
01:06Her posts often hinted at privilege, expensive getaways, luxury cars and exclusive Moscow clubs.
01:13But scrutiny intensified after investigations by independent Russian media linked her and her mother's sudden wealth to Putin.
01:22One report claimed that Svetlana's daughter has an uncanny resemblance to Putin.
01:28In a 2021 audio interview, secret daughter Ruzova neither confirmed nor denied her resemblance to Putin.
01:36She simply stated that many people share similar features.
01:40She also spoke about living in a quote-unquote bubble, avoiding news and focusing on fashion and socialising with friends.
01:48One Russian media outlet during its 2020 probe connected Elisaveta's mother and Putin's secret lover Svetlana to properties purchased under Rudnov's name.
01:59In 2023, the UK imposed sanctions on Svetlana identified her as a shareholder in Bankrosiya and National Media Group that consistently promotes the Russian assault in Ukraine.
02:11Opposition leader Alexei Navalny also highlighted these connections in 2021, which sparked widespread interest and controversy.
02:20The Kremlin, however, dismissed the rumours, calling them unfounded and unconvincing.
02:26All this changed drastically in February 2022, with Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
02:32Elisaveta's online accounts vanished and she slipped from public view, reportedly leaving Russia for Paris.
02:40There, she reportedly re-emerged as an art school graduate and a manager at Art Gallery in Paris, noted for anti-war exhibitions.
02:49She adopted a new name, Elisaveta Rudnova, likely referencing Oleg Rudnov, a Putin ally who passed away in 2015.
02:57But it was in mid-2025 that Elisaveta broke her silence in dramatic fashion.
03:03On her private telegram channel and social media, she reportedly posted intense, cryptic messages.
03:10She said,
03:11It's liberating to be able to show my face to the world again.
03:14It reminds me of who I am and who destroyed my life.
03:18The person who took millions of lives and destroyed mine.
03:22Though she stopped short of naming Putin, the allusion was clear.
03:27In addition, she lamented growing up in a golden cage.
03:30Her life shaped and overshadowed by the actions of a quote-unquote man who killed millions.
03:35Elisaveta's condemnation did not explicitly mention the war.
03:39But her alignment with anti-war art and her sharp separation from her Russian past suggest she views herself as a victim of her family connections.
03:50A sentiment captured in her haunting question.
03:54Am I really responsible for the activities of my family who can't even hear me?
03:59As per reports, today Elisaveta remains in Paris, focusing on art and for the first time publicly voicing her inner turmoil over the legacy that has defined and haunted her life.
04:12I am!
