02:41and steve tonight here on showbox
02:43kind of a little bit of the same thing we've been doing
02:45going to see a lot of new faces
02:47going to see some familiar faces
02:48we're going to see some guys just trying to break through
02:51and going to see a couple of other guys just try to stay in the conversation
02:54one guy who may be all of the above
02:56is in our feature fight of the evening
02:5819 year old devon haney
03:00this is a guy who comes here with all the goods
03:03supposedly he's brash
03:05can be a little bit arrogant
03:06he's flamboyant to be sure
03:08he's got all the sizzle
03:10that we know
03:11the question that i have to ask you
03:13he's got the sizzle
03:14does he have the steak
03:15does he have the steak
03:16i knew that was coming
03:18barry i hope you asked me the same question
03:20at the end of the night
03:21because i'll be able to give you a lot better answer
03:23after the main event
03:25this is what we know about devon haney at this point
03:27he's making a huge step up tonight against mason minard
03:30and he's doing so at the age of 19
03:32which is very bold
03:33now expectations are very high for haney
03:36as barry said
03:37and the reason for that is haney
03:39he's talking about fighting for a world title
03:42in his next fight
03:43so far at this point
03:46haney's been about potential
03:47and about hype
03:50after tonight
03:52he's going to be about performance
03:54as it should be
03:55let's see what the young kid has
03:57this is all you need to know about devon haney
04:01boxing prodigy
04:02a couple of years ago
04:04the nevada commission made an exception to the rule
04:06allowing him to fight pro
04:08at age 17
04:09he's now all of 19
04:11and already talking title shot
04:13at 130 or 135
04:14he also understands
04:16he's being held to the highest of standards
04:18he says
04:19it's not good enough to just win
04:21mason minard is two for two on showbox
04:26with both wins having come by crushing ko
04:29minard's coming off a layoff and shoulder surgery
04:31he has a new trainer
04:32and he's one fight removed from a disappointing loss
04:35yet he's fully confident
04:36that he's too experienced
04:38too powerful for devon haney
04:40minard knows he's a big step up for haney
04:43too big a step
04:44he intends to prove
04:45and with that we say hello to the third member of our broadcast team al diamante
04:52raul marquez former junior middleweight champion of the world is with us and we talk about devon haney
04:56and we know this guy has really got the goods but he has matched really tough tonight
05:01mason minard is a guy we have seen we've seen him take on guys like devon haney and we've seen him knock those guys out so the question i have to ask you is for devon haney is it too much too soon
05:14well barry that is the million dollar question
05:16mason minard is not no pushover he's not coming to lay down
05:19he's coming to fight and he's going to bring it all night long
05:22he's got the experience he's fought way better opponents
05:25and he displayed incredible knockout power in past showbox fights
05:29now i'm not saying devon haney cannot win this fight
05:31because he's got the ability and skill to do it
05:33but he's never faced anybody like minard
05:36and it's hard to judge a fighter that's never been battle tested
05:39and he's dealt with some adversity he's got to really dig deep in there to win the fight
05:43so far for haney it's been an easy ride
05:4618-0 12 knockouts no problem
05:50but there's still so many questions to answer from this kid
05:54trust me
05:55mason minard will test him like he's never been tested before tonight
05:59and hopefully we'll get the answers that we're looking for
06:02you know what i trust you
06:04all right that's our main event it really should be an outstanding one
06:07let's get started then on a busy night in boxing
06:10so from the 2300 arena here in philadelphia
06:13we are ready for our first fight of the evening
06:15it takes place in the 122 pound division
06:18and it features undefeated ukrainian arnold haggai
06:22against adam lopez
06:24and here is a look at 27 year old adam lopez
06:31comes to us from san antonio
06:33and tonight he makes a record-breaking seventh showbox appearance
06:37this time however it's in an absolute crossroads fight for him
06:41lopez first appeared here three years ago
06:44after three consecutive wins and a draw on showbox
06:47we saw him get absolutely run over by daniel roman
06:51that was just over a year ago
06:53and roman went on to win the wba
06:55122 pound world title in his next fight
06:58lopez returned to showbox in his next fight
07:01that was last july
07:02earned a draw against glenn de zern jr
07:05who will be seeing later tonight
07:07in his most recent outing in november
07:09and away from showbox lopez lost an eight-round decision
07:13in what was described as a quote
07:14poor contest in execution
07:16end quote
07:18lopez is at his best when moving and counter-punching
07:21and he has perhaps gotten away from that in the last few fights
07:24he's only won two and two in his last five
07:27and he hasn't won since november of 2016
07:29tonight he reunites with trainer carlos famoso hernandez
07:33in hopes of getting back on the winning track
07:36so steve takes behind the numbers on adam lopez
07:39will do barry for start better days
07:42lopez was unbeaten in his first four showbox appearances
07:45but he's won only one of his last five fights
07:48at 27 can he turn it around
07:50bad loss
07:51last time out lopez lost a very close decision
07:53to one-time contender jorge diaz
07:56not a good result
07:57he has had been inactive
07:58and he had won only one of his previous six
08:00and true test
08:02give a guy credit
08:03for his first fight in the states
08:04he could have gotten an easier safer route
08:06lopez may have peaked
08:08but he's gritty and he's experienced
08:10the other half of our matchup
08:18in our first fight of the evening
08:20arnold he is fighting here in the united states
08:23for the very first time
08:24and in fact
08:24he fights outside of russia
08:26for the very first time
08:27born in the ukraine
08:29but of korean descent
08:30a guy began as a muay thai fighter
08:33before his 105 amateur career
08:35as a boxer
08:36he brings an 11-0-1 record
08:39with eight knockouts
08:40to the ring with him tonight
08:41and he's 6-0 with four knockouts
08:44since the draw
08:45back in april of 2016
08:47he won his last fight
08:49back in november by knockout
08:50stopping an undefeated russian prospect
08:52with only two seconds
08:53remaining in the fight
08:55a guy has an interesting style
08:57he aggressively attacks
08:59and then he disengages
09:00he can be a little rough
09:02perhaps due to his muay thai upbringing
09:04he describes his style
09:05as explosive
09:07steve let's go behind the numbers
09:09with arnold he got
09:10well we start with
09:12from russia with glove
09:13all 12 of the guys fights
09:15have been in russia
09:16so there'll be an adjustment
09:17what does philly have in common
09:19with moscow
09:20have to think about that one for a while
09:22rounds we go
09:23this is a scheduled eight rounder
09:24so it's good that a guy went 10
09:26for the first time in his last fight
09:27but of course he's facing a veteran
09:2910-round fighter
09:30in lopez
09:31and comparison's sake
09:33the guy's been fighting opponents
09:35with good records in moscow
09:36but lopez has faced a couple of world
09:38titolists
09:39and some other tough guys too
09:40so big advantage
09:41lopez
09:42all right with that
09:43we are set to go

12:16for luck to both
12:17we take a look
12:20at the tail of the tape
12:21for these two
12:22not much separating
12:22these two
12:23as far as numbers go
12:24interesting that
12:25for his u.s. debut
12:26a guy
12:27scaled 120
12:28which equals
12:29the lowest weight
12:30of his broken rule
12:30and the rules here
12:33are the unified rules
12:34no standing eight
12:34count no three
12:35knockdown rule
12:35only the ref can
12:36stop the fight
12:37fighter cannot be
12:38saved by the bell
12:38in any round
12:39if the fighter
12:39stopped because
12:40of that accident
12:40of a foul
12:41before four
12:42no decision
12:43after that
12:43we go to the cards
12:44for a technical
12:45decision
12:46and with that
12:48we are set to go
12:49first fight
12:50of a four fight
12:51card here on
12:51showbox
12:52the new generation
12:53and we are
12:54underway
12:55lopez in the blue
12:55trunks
12:56and a guy
12:56in the black
12:57with the gold trim
12:58and we talk
13:02about this being
13:02a crossroads fight
13:03for lopez
13:05and that is probably
13:06an understatement
13:07i would think
13:07yeah and he's back
13:09with carlos hernandez
13:10the former world champion
13:11who told me whether
13:12he has to box
13:13he has to stay off
13:14the ropes
13:14that's the key
13:15in terms of amateur experience
13:19a guy 100 bouts
13:20all in the former
13:21soviet union
13:22lopez was a top
13:23u.s. amateur
13:24for the 2012
13:25Olympic trial
13:25we talk about
13:28we talk about a guy
13:28of korean descent
13:30his mother and father
13:32as you look at the
13:33croaks
13:33or the pro experience
13:35for these two guys
13:36and lopez
13:37almost twice as much
13:38experience in terms
13:40of rounds fought
13:41than the guy
13:42the guy's mother and father
13:43even though they are
13:44of korean descent
13:45are both
13:46one is russian
13:47one is ukrainian
13:48it is his grandparents
13:49that immigrated
13:51from korean
13:53to the north
13:55i think the problem
13:59with adam lopez
14:00in fast fights
14:00has been
14:01he stays a little bit
14:02too much on the ropes
14:03he's got to keep
14:05the fight more
14:05in the center of the ring
14:06and sometimes he's
14:08a little bit too hesitant
14:08he lets his combinations
14:09go but not enough
14:10he needs to
14:11bunches and bunches
14:13three four combinations
14:14and keep turning around
14:15his opponent
14:16and that's when
14:17he's successful
14:17so far this fight
14:25going
14:25the way we would
14:27anticipate
14:28the pressure
14:30he still wants
14:36you know he's not
14:37that old a fighter
14:38but this is the first
14:39time on showbox
14:40where he's been
14:40the b-side
14:41he knows that
14:41and he said
14:42i have to pull up
14:43and upset to prove
14:44i still belong
14:44and significantly
14:45you talked about
14:46that shot
14:46he's got a hitting
14:47with
14:47it wasn't a great shot
14:49but he's
14:50he's going to go
14:51back
14:52forward
14:52he's got a great shot
14:58he's got a pretty strong
14:59jab
15:00generous
15:00he's got a good
15:20the body
15:21It's going to be out for the second half of it.
15:35Spreex.
15:37Spreex.
15:38Spreex.
15:39Spreex.
15:4210 seconds.
15:4510 seconds of round one.
15:48We had a chance to talk to Adam Lopez about what he feels he needs to do in this fight.
16:10But here's what he said.
16:14I feel like if you just box him, good jab, faint a lot, you can get him to commit to something,
16:20you can catch him coming in with something.
16:22Or you know, he's a bully, he likes to come forward, that's all he knows how to do.
16:25And I've seen a couple of his fights where the guys would actually go forward on him,
16:30and he actually had a hard time and he didn't really know what to do going backwards.
16:40Take a look at action from round one.
16:48It was a hook, they both hooked at the same time, and you saw a guy landed,
16:52and also Lopez kind of touched his forehead like he thought he got butted, maybe he did.
16:57So round two, good news for Lopez, he kept it in the middle of the ring.
17:03We talked about he wants to stay up to the ropes, he's having so caught in the vent unless he took the harder punches.
17:10Adam Lopez, these two, you just jab more.
17:13Not a single jab, maybe double, triple jab, and find the right range, find the right distance.
17:18Obviously, the guy fighting, I think it's in the inside.
17:22It seems like a stronger fighter, more powerful.
17:26The guy's built like a tank.
17:33Yeah, he is.
17:35Oh, sharp left hand again.
17:39We're talking about low pedal changing angles, you know, watching the guy on tape.
17:43Obviously, he's never fought in the US before.
17:45I saw a lot of subtle things, he changed angles as well.
17:48It's much more than a weight-in sludge.
17:52Yeah, he's a stylist.
17:55Get off his head, get off his head.
17:58That's most of his punches in combination.
18:02He doesn't strike me as a one-punch guy.
18:06No, I would agree with that.
18:08I think he probably has heavier hands than him.
18:10No, it's shot fights on showbots.
18:12Greg, stop!
18:13Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop.
18:15Stop, stop, stop.
18:17I said stop, you stop.
18:18Don't put his head down, let's go.
18:20I'll tell you what, I really like the guy's jab.
18:31I mean, that shotgun jab and he's very smart with it.
18:34He changes it up.
18:35Throws it to the body, faints it, throws a pop jab.
18:38And he's letting Lopez know, look, I'm here.
18:41You gotta respect me.
18:46I think you just saw something key there from the guy.
18:48He kinda got inside, landed a couple of shots.
18:50Come on, come on, come on.
18:51Come on, come on.
18:52He's not anxious to make this an in-fight, necessarily.
18:54He feels he cannot box lower.
18:58So far, I would have to say he is.
19:00Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on.
19:05I think no punching, no punching.
19:08You know, bigger muscles and a tighter body
19:10does not usually translate to better punching powers.
19:13No!
19:14No!
19:15No!
19:16No!
19:17No!
19:18No!

19:48No!
19:49You have to keep those hands up and you have to move.
20:01Move that head.
20:02Keep those hands up, keep it loose to angle it.
20:05And come back with those pushing.
20:08Remember when you were pushing?
20:10Turn around.
20:11Come back with that left hand.
20:13And remember that double jab.
20:16One jab, and he's countering.
20:18Boom, boom.
20:19He's got a double jab.
20:20He's got a right hand.
20:22He's a deep breath.
20:25I need you to attack him.
20:26I was saying, a guy who's got the muscle,
20:28does that mean he has the punch?
20:29I think it does.
20:30And that was a beautiful timed punch,
20:32counter right hand.
20:34Lopez did well to prevent any further damage.
20:37Watch Lopez lead.
20:39And that was a nice counter right hand.
20:41Perfect timing.
20:43That's what I mean by the guy.
20:44It's more than just the way it is.
20:46He timed Lopez perfectly, though.
20:48Quick hand, too.
20:50Yeah.
20:50Straight shot.
20:51That was a straight shot.
20:52But I think the reason he timed Lopez
20:54was if you heard a famous tsunami in the corner,
20:56he threw just a single jab.
20:58That's just what I said.
20:58He got thrown more jabs.
21:00That way the guy won't time you.
21:01The guy won't time you.
21:02That's exactly what happened.
21:05Need more jabs out of Lopez.
21:09See, single jabs again.
21:12The guy's going to time him with that same leap.
21:15Straight right hand.
21:21I thought it was imperative that Lopez
21:23could also get a good start for his mind.
21:25Remember, this is a fight.
21:26It was one year ago.
21:27A little over a year ago.
21:28It was one fight away.
21:30He was hearing a shot at the work.
21:32The guy who watched the work.
21:33Don't pull the side down.
21:35Don't pull the side down.
21:36You all right?
21:37Good morning.
21:37He's going to push the head of Lopez down.
21:39Give it to you.
21:40You're right, Barry.
21:50He's pretty fast at this point.
21:52He really is.
21:52I'm at this point.
21:55I'm not going to see it.
21:56Very spontaneous.
21:57In fact, powers.
21:59He's very focused.
22:00I think it's the more focused fighter in the ring.
22:02in the ring.
22:03He's running away.
22:05Two.
22:06Yeah, Jack.
22:07Yeah.
22:08Jim.
22:09Everybody's trying to Ahícar.
22:12Nice right hand.
22:13Oh, yeah.
22:14Right hand.
22:16Come on up.
22:21Come on up.
22:21Don't spike my single punch in there.
22:23I'm going to do a single punch that immerse.
22:24I'm getting counted in me.
22:26All right.
22:26And I am thatenrado.
22:28Everybody's right.
22:29I've stolen praise.
22:30Yeah, good job.
22:31He's a short puncher, and you know, he's very happy now to let López leave because he's been so effective with his counter.
22:44He's right in there. Left hand behind him.
22:48He's fighting.
22:50Yeah, he is.
22:51Well, he was at least 40 times.
22:53He's going to be too.
22:53He's going to be too.
22:53He's going to be too.
22:54He's going to be too.
22:55He's going to be too.
22:56He's going to be too.
22:57He's going to be too.
22:58He's going to be too.
22:59He's going to be too.
23:00He's going to be too.
23:12If my memory serves me correctly, Daniel Román did a lot of right hands against López.
23:18And they were counter punches as well.
23:22Here he goes again trying to counter with the right hand.
23:24I don't think I really like the guy.
23:40I don't think I really like the guy in the season.
24:03It's great.
24:05It's a good one.
24:07It's a good one.
24:09It's a good one.
24:11It's a good one.
24:13It's a good one.
24:19Do you feel it?
24:21Is it not comfortable?
24:23He's lying.
24:25You need to move the left to the right.
24:27You need to move the left.
24:29You need to hold it a little.
24:31It's a good one.
24:33It's a good one.
24:35Go to the left.
24:37Check him out.
24:39And then go with the right hand.
24:41Right off.
24:53This is round four.
25:01Very safe to say a guy not exactly overwhelmed by fighting in America for the first time.
25:05It looked very concerned to match.
25:07I like what he told us.
25:09He said he's a good boxer.
25:11We'll see what he's made of.
25:13We'll see what I'm made of.
25:15He did tell us it was a dream of it.
25:17He did tell us it was a dream of it.
25:19The fight here in America.
25:22Yes.
25:23So far.
25:25This performance.
25:27I don't know if I said.
25:28He's a good guy.
25:29He's a good guy.
25:30He's been on the show about seven times.
25:31Yeah.
25:37We're seeing so many of these Ukrainian and Russian fighters come to America and they're all, first of all, they're all in impeccable shape.
25:44technical shape yeah he moves his feet after he jams that's why he's not getting hit with
25:57chances either moves to the leg or moves back he's constantly moving
26:03hey smart at the same time he's baiting lopez and come in and he takes that step back
26:07then he catches him coming in with a counter right hand
26:14he's a very polished fighter look i got this vision with the jab from what i see is kagani
26:30just get a scissors give me the scissors cut it just cut it stay right
26:39momentary repairs here
26:40just cut just cut it get a little off the side there we go
26:52time in
26:54and
27:08I still think Dolphins is weighing a little bit too much, he needs more combinations to keep searching.
27:30Keep pumping that jab, sliding out to the right, to the left.
27:34Standing in front of him too much, and they're too long.
27:40He's done his best work to the body.
27:43The thing is, if you're banging to the body too much from distance, you're going to get countered.
27:48You're going to get countered, especially with a guy.
27:50I mean, he's close to him.
27:52He's ready for that counter.
27:54Come on.
27:56Now, we're going to push him.
27:59Pushing his head down.
28:02He's been a little quiet around.
28:05Ten seconds.
28:10I didn't think I'd really do it.
28:12Ah!
28:17And there are numbers.
28:20We see a pretty good percentage for Hagai of jabs.
28:23And he's got the advantage in power shots as well.
28:27Although Lopez has almost matched him in terms of number of power shots.
28:31But 39% is a pretty good percentage for Hagai.
28:34So overall, he's got the edge.
28:37He's doing a great job.
28:38He's boxing.
28:39He's putting pressure.
28:40He's paying them in.
28:41I think he's winning the fight.
28:42For Lopez, there we see Lopez.
28:43He's got to throw more punches.
28:44He's weighing a little bit too long.
28:45Keep circling him.
28:46And don't stand too much in front of him.
28:47That's what Lopez needs to do, Barry, to win.
28:48Good.
28:49Again, a sharp right hand.
28:50You saw the legs kind of sticking up for just a second on Lopez.
28:51You're breaking up.
28:52People talk defense in boxing.
28:53You talk moving your head.
28:54You talk blocking shots.
28:55Slipping shots.
28:56Parrying shots.
28:57Parrying shots.
28:58That's what Lopez needs to do.
28:59For Lopez, he's got to throw more punches.
29:00He's weighing a little bit too long.
29:01Keep circling him.
29:02And don't stand too much in front of him.
29:03That's what Lopez needs to do, Barry, to win.
29:04Good.
29:05Again, a sharp right hand.
29:06You saw the legs kind of sticking up for just a second on Lopez.
29:09You saw the legs kind of sticking up for just a second on Lopez.
29:14You saw the legs kind of sticking up for just a second on Lopez.
29:19The best defense in the world, counter-grange.
29:20If you do it effectively, your opponent won't touch.
29:33A guy brings a little bit more than just the boxing style to the ring, you know.
29:36I don't know, we mentioned he was a kickboxer.
29:38That might have to lose a little bit of work, his stakes.
29:43He's just close enough.
29:44I like what I see in the guys in front of him.
29:47Very balanced and very quick again.
29:58Tight defense.
30:00Shouts really hit him.
30:02Made a miss.
30:03Every time Shadowfocus misses,
30:06he's wasting energy.
30:09That's going to get him tired.
30:10That's going to get him destroyed.
30:11He misses.
30:12He can't hit this guy.
30:13He's mental.
30:17He's a little chippy, too.
30:20Yeah, he's got one for an elbow.
30:22Not a bar in the face.
30:25He's smart.
30:27Rick.
30:27Rick.
30:28I'm going to get at him.
30:29I hope he's going to lose his head.
30:31Little tricks like that, man.
30:32Make a corner.
30:33You like a corner.
30:35You get lost in there.
30:36That's it.
30:36It's over.
30:38He's doing it again.
30:40He's going to lose a point, though.
30:41He keeps you.
30:42I mean, he's doing it up
30:43or the referee's not going to take a point away.
30:47He's not cheating unless you get caught.
30:48Right.
30:48Exactly.
30:50So far in the boxing world,
30:54I'll tell you what,
30:54so far in the boxing world,
30:56that's the way it's been, right?
30:57It's not going to be played.
30:59It ain't illegal.
31:01I think the guy's been doing a little bit less
31:03these last couple of rounds.
31:04I didn't do anything.
31:07I'm trying to go down.
31:08I'm just going to stay there.
31:11I'm not saying he's making combinations.
31:13I'm not saying he's doing it for the boxing world.
31:16He doesn't really want to win.
31:17He doesn't really want to win.
31:19He does that one.
31:20I don't want to win.
31:20But I don't want to win.
31:21He's killing me.
31:22That was part of the boxing world.
31:26He's the first.
31:28Yeah, he's the next.
31:29But back's the guy.
31:30He doesn't really move on well.
31:32They get respect.
31:34They don't look powerful.
31:35They're both powerful.
31:36I'll go.
31:36Come on.
31:37Come on.
31:37Back to the hand.
31:38Back to the hand.
31:39Back to the hand.
31:39What are you doing?
31:39Oh
32:04Here's a guy that we've
32:06After talking to him, looking forward to seeing him. That is Alvin Ramal, Jr.
32:11And he will be getting it on with a much taller opponent. He's only 5'8", a very small guy.
32:16On the Customato Catskill School, there's Charles Foster, the fighter who's much taller, 6'2", and a southpaw.
32:23So it's a very, very interesting matchup of styles and body types.
32:36In time, we come to round 6 of this fight.
32:41Don made an early repeal of the guy.
32:45A little quieter in the last couple of rounds of Steve pointed out.
32:53This is round 6.
32:54Not that this has anything to do with anything, but I still, you mentioned it at the top, but I still find it amazing that 32 years of boxing on Showtime, 18 years of boxing on Showbox, it's the first time in Philly.
33:06This is one of the great fight times in the world, not just in America.
33:11Just kind of going through that, but it's great to be here.
33:16Good city, great fight time.
33:18Good history of boxing.
33:19Good right hand there, Bob.
33:24Good guy.
33:25Good guy.
33:28I think you have Adam Lopez the last one round, but I have it to 49-46 for Hedda.
33:34That's exactly what I have to do.
33:36Here we go.
33:36Here we go.
33:44He's got to try to go.
33:46He's got to try to go.
33:49He's got to try to go.
33:51He is.
33:53Shot time.
33:53This with that right hand.
33:54It was there.
33:59Break.
34:00Watch your heads, you guys.
34:01Watch your heads.
34:03Watch your heads.
34:16Watch your hands.
34:17I'm a little bit tired.
34:23I'm not quite going to say.
34:25I'm not scared.
34:27I'm not scared.
34:29I'm not scared.
34:31Let's see if it gets a second wave this next two rounds.
34:35It's been a good round for Adam Lowe.
34:39He needs this one.
34:41This one's the next two rounds.
34:43That's how we got hurt.
34:45All right, I'm surprised.
34:49I'm scared.
34:50Freak.
34:57Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.
35:02Get out of here.
35:04You're out, right?
35:06It's a little bit.
35:09It's dirty in there.
35:11Come on.
35:13Stay right in.
35:14No more that's the last one
35:44Bunch behind the head
35:46One more
35:48Exactly, that could make a difference
35:50I don't know how the judges have seen it
35:52But that could make a difference
35:54That's the battle move
35:56It's come back and win the two rounds
35:58One more fight
36:04Come on, come on, let's go
36:06He's gotta do it again
36:08Back it down, don't stop it
36:10Come on
36:16He does
36:18He's going down himself, you see that, right?
36:20Yes, but he's punching him behind the head
36:22I'm waiting for taking his pull on his ass now
36:24Yeah, exactly
36:26All of our quarterbacks
36:28He's going down himself, you see that, right?
36:30He's going down himself, you see that, right?
36:32Yes, but he's punching him behind the head
36:34Okay
36:36He's taking his pull on his ass now
36:38Yeah, exactly
36:40It's about how much you fucking want it right here
36:42But just do not get careless
36:44Touch, remember touch, go to that body
36:46Yeah, try to touch him right there
36:48Right in the center
36:50Yes, yes
36:52You have two rounds left
36:54Okay, let's do this, I know we can
36:56I know you can
36:58But he's going down
37:02We can get you
37:04He'sança
37:06Let's do this
37:08Let's do this
37:09Yes
37:11Let's go, let's go
37:12Keep that water
37:13Easy
37:14Yeap
37:16It's that water
37:18Now
37:20New
37:21Need
37:25I think the last round very important for Lopez and needless to say this one and the next one
37:49last round isn't it was Lopez's most effective of the fight he had 18 connects in that round
37:55his best performance thus far tonight and I like the way Lopez is digging to the body in this round
38:02both sides of the body I think he knows that the guy is running out of gas
38:08a little counter left hand from Lopez wasn't anything big but he got the guy to miss came back
38:15on the shot of his own and stay busy in there that guy is still pushing his head down
38:25I think the guy has lost focus now in this fight he's just in there to throw punches he's not
38:31thinking like he was at the beginning of the fight well so now you have a 10-8 round I don't think
38:35there's a good argument about that right in the last round that's the way I have it I have a one
38:41point fight and I think Lopez is he's winning this round we're halfway through the round already
38:45right there and Lopez was there for that counter punch and the guy missed it
39:14you think there's a chance a guy is slowing down because he punches with everything on every shot maybe he's getting a little fatigued
39:19is that possible well that and he's been busy he's throwing a lot of punches
39:22you think there's a chance a guy is slowing down because he punches with everything on every shot maybe he's getting a little fatigued
39:27is that possible well that and he's been busy he's throwing a lot of punches
39:34I think you've had a pretty good argument for Lopez winning this round too
39:41I agree
39:43I think you've had a pretty good argument for Lopez winning this round too
39:46I agree
39:59yeah you throw too high that left hook and you
40:09Good work, good work.
40:11Yeah, you go too high that left hook, and you're missing him.
40:14Aim a little lower, okay?
40:16But give me everything, now you've got...
40:18This is your last track.
40:22Accompanied by his father and trainer, Crazy Angel Garcia.
40:28Philadelphia, please welcome the word,
40:31dude to the champion of the world from Philadelphia.
40:35You took close to him, stop pushing him.
40:43The second you block his punch, answer it.
40:48And hit him with the red apricot.
40:54It's okay, it's okay, okay?
40:55Because you did win another round.
40:57Let's do this, all right?
41:00Combinations, okay?
41:01So this is the final three minutes of this fight,
41:07and who knows that the outcome may not be
41:10in the final three minutes.
41:12Well, what's interesting about an eight-round fight
41:13with a point deductions,
41:15if it's eight rounds without a point deduction,
41:16you could have 4-4 to draw.
41:18Here, 4-4, Lopez wins because of the point deduction
41:20from the guy.
41:21That's right.
41:22So a draw is very, very unlikely.
41:24Right hand from the guy.
41:27Don't go at him, don't hold him.
41:34Now break, no punching.
41:36Watch your head coming in now.
41:46What I'm trying to tell is a guy doing anything different
41:49from what he did the first four rounds when he was dominant,
41:52or is it Lopez that has adjusted?
41:54Well, that's a possibility.
41:56Well, I don't think...
41:57The only thing different that the guy is doing,
41:58I don't think he's throwing...
41:59He's not as busy as he was in the first part of the fight.
42:03And at this point,
42:04I don't think Lopez could win a boxing match.
42:06He's got a...
42:07It was a good right hand,
42:08and that actually got Lopez's attention.
42:09That's not good.
42:10Now a right hand.
42:11Again, he leans on him.
42:15Close fight.
42:17I'm gonna recuse myself a little bit,
42:19because I went to talk to Danny Garcia,
42:21so I lost a little bit of my focus on the fight,
42:23but I think it's pretty close.
42:25And that right hand, that guy just landed.
42:27It's gonna take a lot for Lopez to overcome that.
42:29Yeah.
42:30This eighth round.
42:31I think so, too.
42:32That punch could be the difference in the fight.
42:35The guy tells him, come on.
42:38Step back, hit him with a left hand, David Guy.
42:52Remember, last time out,
42:53the guy fought a top Russian prospect
42:55and stopped him at 258 of the last rounds.
42:58Yes.
42:59Yes.
43:00So, he's dangerous here in the last round.
43:02And that was a ten-round fight.
43:04It was an eight-round fight.
43:06What do you want?
43:08What do you want?
43:09What do you want?
43:10What do you want?
43:11What do you want?
43:12What do you want?
43:14Let's go!
43:15What do you want?
43:16What do you want?
43:17What do you want?
43:20The shot for punching this round is better.
43:22Oh, that guy, yeah.
43:23Big right hand.
43:24Again.
43:25Yeah.
43:26Another one.
43:28Just a little short.
43:29I think Lopez showing a really good chin.
43:31I think, from what I can tell,
43:33the guy can really punch.
43:34Yeah.
43:35He landed some solid shots here in this round.
43:39More clear shots, accurate.
43:52Final ten seconds of this fight, and through our eyes,
43:56a guy has done enough here in the final round to win the fight.
44:01But we don't judge it.
44:04We'll see how the judges saw this.
44:22I thought there was one round, the fourth round,
44:24that was kind of a pivotal round that maybe could have gone either way.
44:28But I think for Hagai's argument, the first three rounds were clear.
44:33Exactly.
44:34And I would be very surprised if it wasn't 30-27 after three rounds for Hagai.
44:38Maybe he could ride that lead to the victory.
44:40And I thought the last round was fairly clear also.
44:43Yeah.
44:44Take a look at the numbers for the fight now.
44:54Well, the jab was all Hagai, and the power punches were pretty close.
44:59So the total punches favor Hagai.
45:02He also did the better work to the body.
45:04Now, of course, you have to score round by round and not go by totals.
45:08Lopez did have a little bit of a rally in the middle of the fight.
45:11So it is in the hands of the judges, and we will see how they saw this.
45:20It just, it seems as you saw with that left hook there in round one.
45:23You see with the right hand in round two where Lopez almost went down.
45:26It just seems to be sharper, more effective punches would definitely land by Hagai.
45:31Pretty much for the whole fight.
45:32I don't remember Lopez necessarily hurting Hagai at any point.
45:36And you just saw Lopez's head snap back as you did just on round five.
45:42And here is the, uh, point deduction, which didn't help the guy's cause.
45:50No, not at all.
45:51It's like losing a round.
45:53They're both picked to the body there.
45:57Lopez was game.
45:58Did he do enough?
45:59Does he have enough drive left to win a fight like this?
46:02I think, uh, I think Hagai deserved it.
46:04I agree.
46:05I think so, too.
46:06I have him by a point.
46:07Right now, we are set to go at the center of the ring.
46:10Mark Frato to tell us who wins.
46:15Ladies and gentlemen here in Philadelphia.
46:17Let's get a big South Philly round of applause for these two warriors.
46:25Following the conclusion of eight rounds here at 2300 arena, we go to the judges scorecards.
46:31Judges David Braslow and Dana DePaulo saw the action 77-74.
46:37Lynn Carter scored at 78-73.
46:40All three judges in favor of your winner by unanimous decision and still undefeated from Odessa, Ukraine.
46:52Arnold Peggy.
46:54We move along now to our second fight here in Philadelphia.
47:04This one is in the light heavyweight division and we'll showcase two guys who have yet.
47:09What has yet been done.
47:10Of course, but we do.
47:11What has being done yet?
47:12Maybe to the president?
47:13Maybe to the man who attended this fight here at Diahal Street.
47:14Maybe no one is in the hospital yet…
