How to Create a Universe?

00:00Forming a four-dimensional continuum known as space-time.
00:04But what is space, what is time?
00:07Are they simply the stage on which the drama of the universe unfolds, or are they active
00:11participants in the cosmic story?
00:14To create space is to create the arena in which matter and energy will exist.
00:19It is to stretch the void, to make room for the particles, planets and galaxies that will
00:24one day populate your universe.
00:27But space is not an empty container, it can bend, twist and expand.
00:33In fact, in our universe, space itself is dynamic, expanding outward since the moment of the
00:39Big Bang, carrying galaxies with it as it grows.
00:43So in your universe, will space be static or fluid?
00:47Will it stretch infinitely or will it loop back on itself like a cosmic Mobius strip?
00:52And what of time?
00:54Time is perhaps the most elusive and mysterious aspect of existence.
