'This Has Just Grown Full On Silly': James Lankford Swipes At Dems For Blocking Trump's Nominees

00:01Well, good Saturday morning everybody. James Langford from Oklahoma. Good

00:05morning, Oklahoma. I hope you're enjoying a good weekend on it here at the

00:09United States Capitol. We're working through nominations as we have been for

00:13weeks at this point. We were here till late on Friday night. We started again

00:16early this morning on Saturday morning. We're going to move nominations for the

00:21president. It's been interesting the Democrats who have complained a lot

00:23about not having enough State Department people and everything else. You know

00:27they're blocking today? Ambassadors. That's who they're blocking today. So this

00:31has just grown full on silly. We're going to keep working until we actually get

00:35President Trump's nominees and we're going to continue to be able to get the

00:38business done for the country. Good news is we've had incredibly productive first

00:43seven months of this session. We've been in session more days than any Congress,

00:47any Senate in particular in the last 40 plus years. We've had more votes on the

00:53Senate floor than we have in 40 plus years. Tons of legislation that we have

00:57actually moved in the last seven months, but we got to be able to get

01:01nominations done. We've had about 130 nominations done so far this year. We're

01:06going to go for a whole lot more. So we're going to keep working and keep going

01:10on this. So this is just the nature of the fight right now. Democrats want to be

01:14able to slow down and keep the president from having our staff, having his staff. We're

01:18going to just keep working and saying we got to get legislation done. We got to get

01:22appropriations done, which by the way, we did for appropriation bills yesterday as

01:25well. And we're going to keep getting the president's nominees done. So work to be
