00:24During June 10th and to today, the present day, we've only taken in 28 animals, which

00:42are 22 dogs, eight cats, two cats have been placed in permanent homes, and 11 dogs have

00:49already been placed. So we only have, I believe, 11 animals left out of the animals that have

00:54been surrendered due to the deportation operations.

01:19So we're just waiting for his mother.

01:38the animals have become sort of a victim in the situation because to no fault of their own

01:56they're finding themselves in the care centers but that's why it's important for this message

02:01to go out so that to have a family who has an animal if they if they think that they're gonna

02:08be in a situation where they may stop the port or be deported or detained whatever it may be

02:12get that get that plan in place so that your animal can be cared for by a close friend or a

02:22family a family member and if that person isn't enabled to care for that animal and they have to

02:28eventually relinquish the animal to the care centers they have that critical information

02:35that allows us to set up again a positive pathway for that animal to get into another permanent home

03:27During that transition, we'll make sure that the animal gets a health check through our

03:37medical team.

03:40It's fed.

03:42If grooming is needed, we'll provide that.

03:45Just so that, you know what, again, we can set up a positive pathway for that animal.

04:59animal comes in but just to reiterate that it doesn't matter this part of the operation

05:06hasn't changed it doesn't matter what the situation is if you're ever in a position

05:11where you can't care for your animal and the last resort is the animal care center we're

05:15always there to assist that that the community for that.

06:16During these challenging times with the deportation operations that are going on, we are monitoring it closely, but have a plan.

06:28Create a bio for your dog, reach out to your neighbor, your family, who can be an alternative to surrendering your pet at the care center.

06:39We know these are challenging times, but if we can keep an animal with the owner or with the family or out of the care center, that's our goal.
