00:00I received an email from Aidan Gilding this week and I just wanted to read a little bit

00:06of it out. I'm writing to you as a deeply concerned resident of South West Victoria.

00:10Our region is in the grip of a devastating drought and the time has come for stronger

00:16and more immediate support from government at both federal and state levels. As a result

00:22of this devastating drought, many local farmers have been forced to trucking water,

00:27destock or walk away from generations of work. The financial strain is unbearable but what's

00:34even more heartbreaking is the mental toll that this is taking. I once again call on the federal

00:41government to support, in this instance the Victorian state government, in providing more

00:47support for our farmers at this time. They need it and they desperately need it.
